"Seize him!" Sonja commanded, the soldiers with her sprang into action.
They moved to surround Kace from all sides, they drew their weapons and pointed them towards him. Kace was completely at a loss. Why was he being treated like a criminal? He knew it would be pointless to fight back right now. It would only make the situation far worse.
Sophia began to move when she saw that he was in trouble. 'What the hell, mother! What are you playing at!' She thought as anger invaded her mind. Before she could cover even half of the distance, a cold command halted her in her tracks.
"Don't move another step! If you do, I will kill you here and now! Even if you are my daughter!" Sonja commanded, she was not particularly loud, but that just made it even more terrifying.
Sophia gave her an aggrieved look. No matter what had ever happened between them, her mother had never threatened to kill her before. It just made Sophia even more concerned as to what was really going on. After what happened in the training hall she was equally concerned for Grugda. Her mother had forbidden her access to seeing either of them.
'Yo, Sylvan! I need you right now! Things might get ugly!' Kace attempted to reach out once again. He did not like feeling so vulnerable when surrounded by an angry mob. 'Fuck! Why won't you answer! What the hell happened to you?'
Kace was becoming more agitated with each passing second, he no longer knew who was a friend and who was a foe. Combined with the knowledge that Raven and Joshua had chosen to flee this place. The conspicuous absence of his closest friend Grugda and how Sonja was acting. His paranoia kicked into full swing, making him believe that everyone was against him now.
"Well? What are you waiting for!" Sonja commanded in a voice that let everyone know she was growing impatient.
'Fuck! I need to find out what happened. If I let them take , I might never find out.' His mind flashed back to being held prisoner within that room. He had already acknowledged that resisting would make the situation worse, but what if it was already at a point that it could not recover from?
With those thoughts in mind, he took a deep breath and prepared himself to fight. Kinetic Vision, Tracking, Empower! A black wave rushed out from his body in all directions, catching everyone present in its radius. Kace felt a rush of power enter his body as he witnessed the shocked expressions on everyone's faces. Well, except for Sonja.
Being an upgraded version of the Hexblade herself, she knew exactly what kind of abilities to expect. She could also use this skill, but there would be no point. It did not differentiate between allies and enemies. Since her soldiers had already been weakened, if she did the sa, they would be lambs to the slaughter before Kace. She would be forced to use her energy just to protect them from him.
A grim mask overtook Sonja's face as she realised she had miscalculated. She could have done this another way that could have resolved it peacefully. However, her anger over everything that had happened recently had clouded her judgent. 'Shit, I've been such a fool.' She thought, but she could not back down now. It would compromise her image as a ruthless ruler.
"He plans to resist the Queen's orders! Kill the traitor!" One of the random soldiers shouted when he recovered from the shock of Empower.
This single statent caused more damage than anyone could have predicted. Sonja was silently cursing the soldier in her mind, just for doing his job loyally. Sophia was cursing her mother, renouncing her position as the Queen's daughter within her heart. Kace, on the other hand, unleashed a massive amount of killing intent.
His golden eyes fixed on Sonja in the distance. There was nothing but coldness in that look, like a wild animal that been cornered and was ready to fight to the death. Sonja glared back, it gave everyone the impression that sparks were flying between the two as if they were trying to kill each other with just a look.
Sonja was actually trying to intimidate him into backing down before shit escalated any further. The look in his eyes told her a different story, she could only sigh in her mind. The damage had been done due to her negligence and the soldier's provocative outburst. In the next mont, she gasped. She actually lost sight of Kace!
Kace had used Stampede, along with his massive boost to his stats, he had never been faster. He arrived beside a vampire that had been on his right side. He swung a brutal kick up into the air. The vampire appeared to not even notice his presence or the danger he was in. Which was highly unfortunate for him and those closest to him.
As Kace's boot connected with the vampire's helt, the force was soo great that the helt caved in. The force used caused the vampire's head to explode like a lon as flesh and blood erupted from the gaps created in the now useless tin can. Covering the nearest soldiers in a shower of gore. Quickly awakening them from their stupor.
The glanced around nervously, trying to discover his whereabouts. However, using the sa trick as before he had moved to a vampire on the opposite side and ripped his spear from his hands. The spear began to take on a sinister appearance, as was typical of any weapon that Kace took ahold of.
While it was transforming, Kace drove his fist into the defenceless vampire's chest. His hand grasped his heart and tore it out. With blood dripping from his fist, he then ramd the heart into the dying vampire's mouth. Breaking his teeth and fangs in the process. Kace was fully out to utilise the shock and awe tactic to his advantage.
"You're next!" He declared coldly as he pointed to another vampire who was quite far away from himself
