Chapter 494: Chapter 348 Interception
The fireball plumted like a teor, and Zhu Xiong lunged forward, bellowing, “Retreat!”
He dashed to the front of the team just as the enormous fireball lood overhead, its scalding heat resembling a great furnace of molten iron, searing the skin with its intense warmth.
Zhu Xiong spread his hand wide, promptly erecting a spiritual energy shield, staunchly positioning it in front of all the troops.
With a thunderous roar, a blaze shot up toward the sky, almost lighting up the entire block.
The fierce heatwave was kept at bay by the spiritual energy shield; although the residual heat grilled those behind it, it wasn’t enough to harm the Tree Domain warriors.
“cha overclock!”
...
Zhao Yimin quickly reacted, ordering all spiritual energy exoskeleton chas to charge and overclock.
The spiritual energy exoskeleton chas instantly unleashed a powerful force; then, interlinking with one another, they forged an energy shield to shelter the surrounding Tree Domain warriors.
Zhu Xiong stood at the forefront, his gaze ice-cold. As the bright light faded, he fixed his stare on several figures that had appeared atop the building.
“We leave you alone, yet you co knocking on our door.”
Zhu Xiong imdiately recognized among those Lizardn on the building two Fourth Grade priests enveloped in ghostly fla shadows, the very attackers from before.
“Impressive spiritual energy control.”
The raspy voice of the Lizardman ca through. Agut looked at Zhu Xiong, who suddenly acted, his eyes filled with wariness, for Zhu Xiong’s revealed talent left him feeling uneasy.
“This will be the boundary, otherwise I guarantee you will suffer heavy casualties. You wouldn’t want your own clansn to get hurt, would you?”
Agut spoke in a harsh tone, using the human language, which made Zhu Xiong’s cheeks twitch, revealing a fierce grin.
“Just you two trying to bar the way? It looks like you’re starting to retreat.”
Zhu Xiong’s smile grew brighter, though within that grin was an unsettling aura.
“Humans, don’t be too arrogant. Just Fourth Grade, do you really think you can contend with the Lizardn Clan? If you beco our slave race, perhaps we will spare your lives.”
The gray-and-white Lizard Priest Ke Xiluo suddenly spoke up, his crimson beast pupils zeroing in on Zhu Xiong as an eerie psychic fluctuation suddenly emanated.
“How dare you!”
A Great Demon Mark flickered between Zhu Xiong’s brows, his spirit jolted, and he barked angrily.
“Do it, he’s not under control.”
Ke Xiluo’s underhanded move had failed, he imdiately signaled all the Lizard Priests to act.
The Lizard Priests held their bone staves high; not just the initial few, but more appeared on the surrounding rooftops.
They lifted their staves with hands slightly open, chanting Lizardman sorcery, visible psychic fluctuations forming around them, rippling and gradually converging on the staves, striking the ground as beams of light.
Boom, boom, boom
The ground trembled mightily as enormous spiritual energy was channeled into it, forming dark surges of energy, bright energy fissures cracked open on the surface like molten lava and the scorching heat lted the ground, emitting terrifying tongues of fire.
“Foolish humans, taste the rage of the Lizardn Clan.”
Columns of fire shot into the sky, forming a frightening wall of flas that separated the Tree Domain troops from the Lizardman forces.
“Thud”
Heavy footsteps echoed, a colossal being had erged behind Zhu Xiong. Zhu Xiong raised his head, his eyes abrim with a dark red glow, and the Great Demon Mark on his brow surfaced, his aura scaling new heights.
Behind him, the chanical Vaiśravaṇa Deva King stood towering, his colossal shield thudding onto the ground.
“Is this all?”
Zhu Xiong’s tone was ice-cold, the chanical Vaiśravaṇa Deva King creaking behind him, enveloping him within, their spiritual energies intertwining as his power level climbed once more.
“No good, he has a Great Demon Mark?!”
Agut and Ke Xiluo were taken aback, their faces turning exceedingly grim, their constricted pupils betraying utmost terror.
The ergence of a Great Demon Mark ant that this human was backed by a being that had undergone Demon Promotion.
Regardless of whether that entity was human or not, the human proxy of the Great Demon was not soone they could easily provoke.
Calamity had struck.
The two Lizard Priests panicked, but escape was not so simple at this juncture.
With hearts steeled, they brandished their staves, tapping into the power of more Third-order Priests, and in the sky, they ford more than a dozen teor fireballs that hurtled directly towards Zhu Xiong.
To delay with their attack, hoping to gain a chance to flee.
“Shield!”
Zhu Xiong rely ntally commanded, and with a hum, the Vaiśravaṇa Deva King was already covered by a thick spiritual energy shield.
He strode boldly forward, stepping through the terrifying wall of fire.
His left chanical arm lifted high with the heavy shield in hand, a massive spiritual energy shield enveloped his fra, and with this ferocious strike, against the towering column of fire, it smashed into the ground, the force exploding into the earth.
The clash of spiritual energy and flas turned the earth upside down, fire bursting into the sky, but the force of the flas had been broken, subsiding into calm after the eruption.
In the flas’ bath, the chanical Deva King stood like a deity upon the ruins, untouched by the fire.
As teor fireballs approached, Zhu Xiong manipulated the chanical Vaiśravaṇa Deva King to simply raise an arm, then several spiritual energy blade shields erged behind him.
The blade shields spun like full moons, propelling towards the colossal teor fireballs.
Moons shattering suns, the blade light flickered between them, disintegrating the teor fireballs, rings of light and heat waves exploding in midair, yet not a fragnt of the fireballs touched the ground.
