Chapter 271: Chapter 245: Turmoil in Chaos
Su Han’s order ca, and the soldiers stationed in the Tree Domain imdiately pulled their triggers, bullets speeding across, piercing through the bodies of the Gray Inferior Demons and Corpse Ghosts.
The powerful inertia caused the severely wounded monsters to roll over and even made the monsters closely following behind them topple to the ground; their charge imdiately beca chaotic.
Su Han had many people under his command, and the first wave of monsters that rushed out numbered rely over a thousand. They had not even reached the walls before they were all killed.
Tree-born Worms surged out from the ground, dragging away their bodies, leaving behind only a faint scent of blood.
Su Han’s expression was calm, knowing this was just the beginning. The surging Spiritual Energy Blood Sea would undoubtedly breed even more monsters.
“The proportion of higher-grade monsters among them seems to have increased.”
Bai Qilan reminded Su Han that although the majority of the monsters that had just burst out were First Order Inferior, there were also quite a few First-level Interdiate and First Order Upper Grade ones.
If this was just the beginning, then the Psychic Tide would not be so easy to deal with.
“Prepare for a tough battle.”
Su Han issued the order and also had the ssenger pass the ssage to Zhu Xiong’s side.
As Weng City’s northern district’s extradinsional rift was under attack, monsters inside Zhu Xiong’s extradinsional space also began to stir, testing the waters by trying to rush out of the extradinsional rift.
Military suppression erupted imdiately, with a large number of monsters being killed.
On the first day, it seed that since the tide was just beginning, there were many monsters, but they had not reached a terrifying scale yet.
But from the second to the third day onwards, monsters began to pour out endlessly. Like a tide, they surged out of the extradinsional rift, their twisted figures almost filling up the entire Weng City before beginning to assault the towering walls.
If one could not climb up, then two would try, then three… A pile beca a flesh tower, rapidly scaling upwards.
The leaders were mostly Second-grade Monsters, seemingly as if they were not worth much at that mont.
“Aim the cannon at that monster and fire in short bursts!”
The captain in charge of the cannons gave the command loudly, and his subordinates imdiately controlled the Angel Envoy carrying the cannon to rush forward, adjust the gun mount, and with a rumble, the Spiritual Energy cannonball shot out, slamming into the base of the monsters.
A large number of monsters were annihilated by the blast, the stacked masses collapsing instantly, covered by more Spiritual Energy bullets, attacks from Stabbing Envoys, and Corrosive Envoys.
The Angel Envoy troops, transford with two types of injections, had already joined the battle. Their Stabbing skills and corrosive acid caused damage that was no less potent than that of the Spiritual Energy rifles.
“Roar”
Suddenly, in the midst of Weng City, three or four Second Order Gray Inferior Demons and Corpse Ghosts let out roars. They did not dare approach the wall but stayed near the extradinsional rift.
With fierce glares sweeping the battlefield, they grabbed the Gray Inferior Demons and Corpse Ghosts beside them and hurled them towards the walls.
“Intercept!”
Each Tree Domain warrior quickly organized to intercept, while the cannon teams prepared concentrated fire.
“Let take care of this.”
Bai Qilan was already on the battlefield, watching as monsters in the sky flew like teors.
She raised her hand and swept her powerful psychokinetic power across, forcefully halting the thrown monsters mid-air.
Ti seed to stand still as the Demon Eye Spider Woman and Alien Thorn Worm appeared behind her.
Both Envoys possessed extrely strong Stabbing skills; in an instant, the Spider Thorns and Stabs were fired, shooting towards the monsters in the sky.
The blade-like stabs pierced through the bodies, as blood from the monsters spurted out, falling down, and crashing heavily into the crowd of monsters below.
The three Second Order Monsters tried to repeat their technique, but Bai Qilan glanced at them and leaped into the air, her two Envoys charging directly into the fray with her.
Telekinesis swept across the battlefield, sending monsters flying. There were no more obstacles between her and the three monsters; both Envoys charged forward, first with Demon Eye control, then a fatal strike to the throat, killing them outright.
The morale of the Tree Domain Troops soared, and they pressed on with their offensive, pushing the extradinsional monsters back.
When Bai Qilan returned to the wall, the number of monsters inside Weng City had been killed down to below a thousand, but from that rift, they were still pouring out incessantly.
“Two days, thirty thousand monsters, the rift in the extradinsional space has beco even more obvious.”
Bai Qilan’s eyebrows knit slightly; she could sense the gradual expansion of the rift in the extradinsional space and the surging of spiritual energy growing more intense.
Although the tide would gradually ebb after reaching its peak, it was this period that proved to be the most grueling.
“Sync the intelligence with Zhu Xiong, and at the sa ti, send the bodies back to the lab for comparison between the two extradinsional spaces.”
“Yes.”
Bai Qilan was about to leave when suddenly the sound of hurried footsteps ca: “The western city wall is under attack by unidentified monsters, they are Third Order, Lord Su Han has already rushed over.”
As the ssenger relayed the news, Bai Qilan’s face changed, “What’s the situation?”
“The iron gate is half shattered, but the Ancient Tree Lord has blocked them.”
….
In the Tree Domain Camp, at the western city wall, thousands of worker beetles were charging towards the broken gate.
Accompanying these worker beetles were grotesquely shaped monsters, which, after the misty tide, beca riotous again due to the dense spiritual energy.
The Tree Domain Troops continued to launch attacks from atop the wall, with bullets of spiritual energy constantly raining down, and cannons targeting the most densely packed areas of monsters.
With booming sounds, the light of fire continuously engulfed the bodies of monsters, tearing apart dozens or even hundreds with a single strike.
But even so, it was impossible to hold back their terrifying assault that surged like a tide.
Among this massive tide of monsters, the Holy Helt Beetle was locked in battle with the dark Vine Snakes.
One with a slightly smaller stature, but with a hard shell, moved like the wind, its sharp blades constantly slicing through the vines.
The other was a python made of dark vines, its black tendrils entwined, crushing nurous monsters as it moved.
Both were Third Order combat monsters, clashing repeatedly, destroying a large number of surrounding streets and crushing many monsters.
The Tree Domain warriors were also focusing their fire on the Holy Helt Beetle, but bullets rely rang out upon impact, and then burst into flashes of light, failing to harm it in the slightest.
The shell of the Holy Helt Beetle was particularly tough, not inferior to tal at all.
“Hiss hiss”
In the midst of battle, its mouthparts hissed, and soon a large group of Second Order Beetles, along with nurous First Order Upper Grade insects, led the monsters in a charge towards the gate, which was already cut through by a third.
The Holy Helt Beetle’s surprise attack swiftly breached part of the iron gate, exposing a significant gap.
However, it was its very assault that alerted the Vine Snakes of the Nine-Snake Mother Tree, which rushed out to halt the advance.
With a large number of monsters assembling, Tree Domain warriors kept firing, a massive number of monsters were killed in front of the gate.
As one monster after another fell, their limbs scattered about, but even so, the monsters’ push forward never ceased.
“Damn it, focus fire with the cannons, block those beetles and monsters.”
The captain defending the city was Guo Du; his face was serious as he issued commands in a calm voice.
All Tree Domain Troops were engaged in battle, and he certainly did not want the city wall to fall due to his own mistake, not even allowing a single monster to breach, as that would be incompetence.
“Boom, boom, boom”
The cannons kept firing, and although the beetles were also tough-bodied, they could not withstand such concentrated attacks.
Their shells shattered, their bodies exploded like waterlons, limbs scattering everywhere.
Guo Du sighed in relief, “Cannon support to the Vine Snake, watch for monsters at the gate….”
Before he could finish the command, the ground suddenly rumbled; his face changed drastically as a large red figure erged from the mist in the distance.
“Damn, another Third Order monster?”
