Lorraine glanced at Kira with a disgusted, sizing-up expression before her lips parted.
"Okay," she said.
Just okay?
Everyone who had been watching the scene unfold gasped, unable to believe the prodigy had just responded nicely to a nobody like Kira. Most of them expected embarrassnt, maybe a kick in the gut like... well, what happened to back then. But she just said "okay."
Kira couldn’t believe it either.
Until—
"Why do you even want to be my friend?" she asked, crossing one leg over the other, her short school skirt revealing just a peek of her smooth thigh.
"Um... well, because... I want to rank up one day and reach your level, so you can treat as your equal!"
Lorraine scoffed. "Equal? You’re delusional. A re boy like you can’t hope to be my equal."
Kira clenched his fists.
"Still... I’ll try my best to catch up to you! And when I do, I’ll ask you out on a date—because you’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen!!"
I just stood there, my brows raised so high they could’ve left my face. I couldn’t move, couldn’t blink—just absorbing the full cringe of my buddy’s bold confession in front of the entire class.
But then... I saw it. A faint blush on Lorraine’s face. She masked it quickly with another scoff.
"You’ve got guts, I’ll give you that. Let’s see if that resolve holds. Maybe—just maybe—I might consider going on a date with you. But that’s a big if, and only if you sohow, miraculously, reach my level."
Gasps echoed around the room.
That’s when Four Eyes started clapping and whistling like a maniac.
"Booravo! Booravo!!"
Derrick joined in, then Brian, and then the rest of the class simps. I groaned and slumped into my seat as Kira stood from his kneeling position, chest puffed out like he’d just achieved a major life accomplishnt.
A few minutes later, the sound of a horse cart stopping outside our class caught my attention. I glanced out the window and saw Anna stepping out like royalty. No surprise—Ivy probably sent the cart. Since Anna had been sick, and Ivy’s rich enough to spoil her daughter without blinking, it made sense she’d higher a cart to bring her to school daily like how Lorraine and others nobles do.
The mont Anna entered the class, all eyes turned to her. So gasped, others murmured praises about her beauty. Lorraine just scoffed and looked away.
She spotted and bead, walking over to sit beside .
"Morning," she said cheerfully.
"Hey... you good?"
"Yup!" she replied, locking her arm around mine.
"Uh... what are you doing?"
"Keeping my promise," she said casually. "I told you I’d always be with you now, didn’t I?"
I groaned internally.
Just then, the sharp click of heels echoed through the classroom. Madam Sarah strutted in wearing a short navy skirt with a seductive vent at the front, fishnet stockings underneath, and a white button-up shirt so tight her huge lons threatened to burst through. The sheer fabric left little to the imagination.
My mouth went dry just looking at her, flashing back to that naughty mont we’d shared in my room the other day.
She greeted the class, but her words floated past —I was way too distracted by those killer curves.
"Alright, class!" she said. "It’s that ti of the year again—student duels! We’ll be creating a match table based on your affinities, so line up and tell what you can use."
Excited murmurs filled the room. The Student Hunter Tournant duels were fight matches were students fight against each other. They were a big deal for so and a total nightmare for others because these fights were perford in front of parents, citizens, and senior hunters. A good fight could land you a recomndation—or even get you picked up by a senior hunter who would make you her sidekick.
Which is exactly why I won’t be trying to win. I an, who the hell wants to end up as so random chick’s sidekick?
"OH YEAH, BABY!! IT’S MY TI TO SHINE!!" Asher shouted, clenching his fists.
"Dude... your only skill is creating a dark smoke cloud. Good luck with that," Derrick deadpanned.
"I have a plan, peasant! Relax," Asher snapped, adjusting his glasses.
We lined up and gave our affinities. I didn’t ntion I could use all elents—I just told her I specialized in fire.
The tournant would begin next week, which gave us the weekend to carry on with our mixer plans. Let the hyped-up idiots prep for battle.
Later that day, during lunch, Anna wandered off with Natalie (yeah, the sa girl who rejected Derrick) to eat together.
The rest of us degenerates gathered under the huge tree outside.
"So, who among you peasants hasn’t invited a girl yet?" Adrian asked smugly. "Because I, your one and only, already did."
We gave him a look. No way any girl in their right mind said yes.
"I told Lorraine about it," Kira chid in. "She said she’d think about it."
"Looks like you two are getting along," I muttered. "As for , I’ve invited Anna."
All eyes turned to Derrick.
He sighed. "No one. Yet."
Brian laughed. "Bro... you realize you’re the only loser here, right?"
Derrick groaned. "I’ll get soone, okay?! Any girl’s fine—I’ll start inviting everyone I see until one says yes!"
"Bruh... your desperation level’s over 100," I muttered.
We kept chatting. One more day to go before the weekend.
After school, we t up at the guild again to hunt more slis. Thanks to Clara and the other female hunters who used my sli dildos, I’d been gaining passive EXP, and my Sli Manipulation skill had finally hit Level 2.
While the others were busy killing, I ran so tests—experinting with what kind of new dildos I could make now that the skill had leveled up.
And honestly? I was impressed.
Using blue slis (since green ones are rare), I created a 5.8-inch dildo with a 4.5-inch girth. It could last three hours before liquefying, and had target-seeking properties to reach users’ most sensitive spots—significantly increasing satisfaction.
With a toy that good, I have to ask Clara if I can watch her use it. I an, I can’t call myself a true artist if I don’t even watch my own masterpieces in action firsthand, right?
