Marinette opened the cupboard above her vanity and took out a square bottle that glowed with a deep amber hue. She set it on the table while Jason sat in the upholstered chair in the corner, watching as she arranged two glasses beside the bottle.

With a playful smile, she whispered to herself:

"A good glass of whiskey always makes my day better, whether it’s been good or bad — it’s the perfect reward or cure."

When she removed the cap, a soft click signaled the start of their evening.

She poured a asure for him first. The liquid caught the light from the lamp, casting a warm glow across the glass. She poured a little less for herself, though Jason noticed from the way she looked at the bottle that she wanted more. She sat on the edge of her bed, offering a small, genuine smile before crossing her legs, which accentuated her alluring silhouette.

"Tell about your week," she said calmly to begin the conversation. "Your ssages were brief, so I figured you’ve been busy."

After all, what’s an evening drink without so conversation... especially when this drink held a special aning for Jason.

He raised his glass.

"Well, I managed my personal work, and nothing unusual happened, so I’d say it was pretty good but overwhelming."

She studied him, tilting her head with curiosity.

"You’ve changed sothing again, and you know I always notice. Actually, you’ve changed a lot over the past month or so."

Jason took his first sip, welcoming the sharp burn. He didn’t show much reaction beyond a slight jaw movent to swallow it casually, and she noticed. Interestingly, Jason found himself drinking the whiskey without much effect; it wasn’t harsh on his throat, especially for soone who had never drunk before and hadn’t expected to even take a sip.

It was almost as if he had a natural knack for alcohol, sothing he hadn’t realized until this very mont. Surely, this would be his last drink, since he wasn’t enjoying it like he did juices.

But for the sake of the goal... or whatever, a man has to do whatever it takes to achieve it! That’s a common saying among the new generation, obviously.

Noticing how easily he was downing the whiskey, knowing this was supposed to be his first ti, Marinette couldn’t help but comnt with a slightly amused tone:

"You drink that like it’s water! Want so more?"

Jason chuckled and pushed the now empty glass toward her.

"Hah. I figured it suits my taste," he said—a blatant lie.

She raised her glass and drank her portion more cautiously before pouring him another round.

"I never thought you’d accept this invitation in the first place. But wow, are you finally growing up? This sudden change is... uh... impressive, if I may say so."

Later, for the third ti, he refilled their glasses, and she watched his hand with quiet amusent.

"You pour like a seasoned host, and I spent half my career pretending to drink on set. The fake stuff never tasted like this. I knew actors who kept real whiskey near the props, though. Their scenes looked convincing for the wrong reasons."

’Pfft. That’s because I’ve worked part-ti at places the devil would’ve surely called crazy, all for pocket change that doesn’t even make up 1% of what I’ve actually achieved in this alternate Earth,’ Jason thought grimly to himself, trying hard not to dwell on his past.

Especially not the ti when a gay custor approached him, offering a thousand dollars for an hour’s pleasure.

Ugh, that was an unpleasant mory.

Jason took another drink, and his body showed no reaction whatsoever. Marinette’s smile grew even wider, like a radar expanding its range, or sothing like that.

The more she drank, the more she talked.

"You barely moved. You absorbed that like a rock. I should be worried, but it’s strangely impressive."

Yes, she was repeating the sa idea in different words. It was clear what was going on.

He responded briefly, his tone calm.

"I handle it well."

She laughed.

"I always suspected you had hidden strengths. You seed harmless when you were younger, but you always surprised in small ways. You solved problems before anyone noticed. You fixed the garden tap last year without telling anyone. You found my missing necklace in a drawer that hadn’t been touched for months."

Marinette kept recalling mories about him and things he hadn’t really done... at least not his current self.

She took another sip, the alcohol loosening her posture. Soon, she leaned back against the tall headboard and relaxed her shoulders. Her elegant composure remained, but a warr glow softened her expression.

"You know, acting never rewarded caution," she started a new topic, her gaze reflective. "Most of the ti, or rather always, people treated mistakes like entertainnt. You’ve probably seen my older films. I tried to hide them from you, but the internet doesn’t respect privacy. Fans keep uploading everything."

"I saw a few," Jason said, as mories of the movie she starred in played through his mind.

In the scenes where she played the female lead, performing a sex scene with full nudity, the act itself never fully unfolded—they only went as far as revealing her body. But that wasn’t the only ti. Maybe that’s why her husband, supposedly her stepfather, left them.

She let out a soft laugh.

"Those early roles embarrassed for years. Oh, and I had to wear outfits that felt like punishnt and deliver lines that sounded like rehearsed nursery rhys. My director kept demanding emotion even when the script offered none. You would have hated being on set."

Jason quietly nodded without saying anything as he took another sip, while she continued gently.

"Honestly, I started valuing order after my third film. Fa overwheld with attention. My manager dragged everywhere like a magnet, and I had to greet strangers who claid they knew better than my own parents. So, the comfort disappeared. Caras invaded my personal space every ti I left the house. To be honest, I loved the craft, but the industry wore down."

Jason prepared two more shots. He drank his with calm ease. Marinette, now moving more softly, stared at her glass as if it held mories.

"...I stepped away to find peace," she said gracefully. "People said I left because roles beca scarce, but I walked away before the noise consud , and retiring saved my sanity. I traveled for a while, then ca back ho when I missed the quiet monts."

She finished her drink and tapped the rim with her finger. Her eyes softened with a relaxed, dreamy look.

Marinette then glanced at him.

"You drink more than I expected, and boy, I can barely keep up."

"This? It seems mild," Jason replied honestly; the alcohol wasn’t really affecting him, or at least not the way it was affecting her.

With a playful sigh, she softly said, "I envy that. My tolerance was better in my younger days. I lost it after the break, especially since my castmates would compete during celebrations. I often ranked near the top, though the champion always cheated by secretly pouring out half his drink behind the curtain. Haha."

Jason poured her fifth shot and laughed. She hesitated but then accepted it with a small smile. He couldn’t help but smile before looking away.

"Ah, drinking feels right tonight," she finally said. "I rarely share old mories, but you bring out a different side of ."

She took the shot, trying to stay composed, though the alcohol made her a bit unsteady. Jason steadied her glass when she set it down unevenly. She thanked him softly.

"Thank youuu~"

He drank his ninth shot without showing any reaction, and she watched him in disbelief. Her little boy, or rather, her once little baby boy, kept drinking without any sign of effect. Honestly, by now she knew he had an incredibly high tolerance, since this was one of the strongest whiskeys around.

Normally, two glasses would be enough to make soone sleepy or act differently, but Jason was different, especially for a first-tir.

He reached for the bottle again, but she raised her hand.

"Give half this ti. I want to stay awake for at least one more conversation."

He quickly agreed. She slowly swallowed the smaller amount, and her voice grew warr and more relaxed as she set the glass aside.

"Do you know what scared the most after retiring?" she asked with a slight smile. "People forget you, first. Fa teaches a strange lesson, second. Attention feels endless until it suddenly disappears, third. Fans move on to the next trend without any regret, fourth. And I enjoyed the applause until it was gone. Yes, the silence shocked , but I found myself again during that ti."

"I understand, Mom... silence and loneliness really do encourage reflection and creativity," Jason replied calmly.

"They do. You experience it more than most, since you’ve always kept to yourself. I used to worry you were hiding discomfort, but now I wonder if you simply preferred thinking over noise."

Jason took another drink while she watched with a mix of admiration and amusent.

"Hah! With this, I admit defeat," she said playfully, raising her hand in surrender before setting down her glass. "You win, because right now, I can barely think straight."

Her laughter filled the room. She placed a hand on her forehead and leaned sideways against the pillows. Her hair fell loosely over her shoulder, softer than its usual polished style.

"My head feels light, and I enjoyed this more than I expected. Thank you for the genuine company."

Calmly, he suggested, "Umm... you should probably rest."

She blinked at him slowly, becoming aware.

"Maybe. Wow, the room is spinning a bit."

She tried to laugh, but it turned into a sigh. She leaned sideways and sank into the pillows, accepting defeat. Jason stood and approached her carefully. He helped her settle properly in the center of the bed without unnecessary contact. She sighed softly in relief as her head touched the pillow.

Marinette tried to say sothing else, but her thoughts faded into silence. Jason pulled the blanket over her as she exhaled softly and relaxed.

Then, he stood near the foot of the bed and watched her for a mont before a wide grin appeared on his face. He had only one day left before the quest expired, which would an losing the full reward... Why should he let that happen?

No way!

If he had more ti, he would have found another way, but now, he had to play the villain to reach his goal. The money was important, as was the outco after investing it. Besides, it was ti to reconnect with lissa, Daniel, and the Milf Circle.

Jason quietly slipped under the blanket on the large bed and began caressing her. She moaned softly when he touched a sensitive spot unintentionally, but strangely, she didn’t even open her eyes, so he continued while his younger brother grew harder than usual.

It was almost like he was about to enter the long-awaited pink hole, probably the juiciest one right now...

For that, he had to take the chance.
