A new day dawned. Jett woke earlier than usual, buzzing with excitent for the day’s delegation.

For once he skipped the customary morning wood and sprang from bed full of energy. He crossed to the massive window that overlooked the sapphire ocean and lingered there longer than normal.

Aware that his maids were already waiting at the bedroom door, he called them in. As always, Mia and Noctlisa dropped into perilously low bows that threatened to spill their ample chests from their bodices before straightening and fixing their beautiful eyes on their master.

"The weather is perfect for an adventure, Master Jett," Mia said, her smile radiant. "I have arranged a selection of garnts from the Warden Mansion’s gifts for your first delegation. I would be honored if you would inspect them before we depart."

Jett had been at the Warden Mansion for several days, yet he still showed no interest in official attire. He preferred to roam the halls in a T‑shirt and pants as though the mansion were a beach house. Mia appreciated his laid‑back style, but she could not let him venture out dressed so casually.

"Yeah, I’ll eyeball them after we eat. I’m finally getting out there and eting people, so I’ve gotta look the part. And don’t worry— I’ll make sure you two look just as amazing standing next to ."

"I harbor no doubt in your excellence, Master Jett," Mia said with reverent warmth.

"Aye, Master," Noctlisa grunted.

After breakfast and a quick shower, Mia led Jett to the wardrobe. The room usually housed his everyday clothes, but now suits, robes, embroidered armor, and mantles hung everywhere, each waiting for his selection.

Let’s be real—whatever I choose could co back to bite later. Each garnt had been gifted by a woman accepted into the Warden Mansion. They were his maids now, yet they clearly competed for his favor, and their families would turn any advantage into coin or clout. Jett didn’t need to overthink it, but he kept the politics in mind as he skimd the racks until a white suit with a crimson tie caught his eye.

"Who gifted this suit?" he asked.

"It is part of the gifts offered by Eleonora von Stormcloud, daughter of Duke Stormcloud, one of the Six Weather Dukes," Mia replied.

"I see." Gift from a human powerhouse—better rember that na. I’m used to suits anyway; wore plenty at school ceremonies. The white fits my titles and powers, even if it’ll get filthy the first ti I throw Cerven.

"Since we’re heading to human lands soon—and I’m most comfortable in these kinds of clothes—I’ll take the suit," he said.

Mia nodded and lifted the white suit with reverence. Turning back to her master, she asked, "Would you care to try it on now, Master Jett?"

"Yeah."

With a gentle smile and graceful steps, Mia approached him. She didn’t rely assist him; she stripped him, circling like a shop clerk dressing a mannequin. The excited elf produced a fresh dress shirt and socks, handling every piece—even the socks—to Jett’s quiet dismay.

Man, this is awkward. I’m not used to being dressed like a doll, but she’s so damn happy I can’t tell her to quit.

At last, Mia eased the white suit onto him. It fit perfectly, bumping his average looks up a notch. Suits always carried a certain magic, but for the first ti Jett felt genuinely important—and Mia’s beaming reflection behind his own certainly helped.

"I guess that’s it," he said. "Not bad."

"Hehe, Master Jett feigns modesty," Mia teased, her smile widening.

...

The mansion’s grand doors swung open in slow ceremony. Two maids stepped out and flanked the entrance, backs straight, hands clasped at their skirts. Their tailored outdoor dresses whispered around their ankles, hinting at perfect curves without revealing a thing, brightening the threshold like fresh sunlight.

Monts later, Jett erged and strolled past them, hands shoved into his suit pockets, crimson tie fluttering in the breeze. He wore a relaxed smile, but inside his mind raced.

I never know what to do with my damn hands, so pockets it is. Can’t cross my arms in a suit, and letting them dangle feels la. Why is this so complicated?

He descended the marble steps. The doors closed behind him, and his maids fell in at his sides. He glanced at Mia.

"Satisfied?" he asked, eyes narrowing. "Do we really need to rehearse just walking out the front door?"

"Yes!" Mia exclaid. "Master Jett must refine his gait, and it is thrilling to watch you carry such a grand aura."

Grand aura, my ass. I probably tripped.

Jett looked at Noctlisa. "You agree?"

"Aye, Master—by my blade," Noctlisa drawled. "Looks damn cool."

Is she just echoing Mia or does she actually think it’s cool?

While Jett mulled over their reactions, the hedges ahead rippled and ford the magical tunnel he’d grown to love. The path was obvious; he followed it to the mansion gates and drew a deep breath.

Ti to see the world, knock out so quests, and enjoy the ride.

[You have received a new quest.]

[The Dragon Guardian’s Predicant.]

[Solve Skytianeus’ issues and keep the balance between humans and dragons.]

[Reward: The Summoning Chamber will allow your Warden Mansion to move between Fayralia and Earth.]

Crimson sparks flashed in Jett’s eyes.

Mia’s gaze snapped to him. Master Jett’s aura just intensified!

Noctlisa stared, wide‑eyed.

He smirked. "I’m locked in."

Being able to hop between two worlds whenever he pleased was exactly what Jett craved—he just hadn’t realized it until the reward appeared. The Warden Mansion, it seed, sotis knew him better than he knew himself.

Officially, this delegation was about aiding the Dragon Guardian and preserving the balance between humans and dragons, but Jett now had a personal stake.

He turned and eyed the silver gates and the fence guarding the mansion’s borders. "Let’s see how much I can haul—ti to turn this mansion into a carriage!"
