Chapter 68: Maid to the Fullest

Clay stared at her for a mont longer.

Then, without saying anything, his gaze softened.

He looked at Cy. At Cerys.

And suddenly, a completely calculated thought crossed his mind.

I’m gonna test her system... Let’s begin complinting her.

He said in his head.

Let’s begin, system!

Suddenly, Clay muttered inside his head. Trying to manipulate himself to do the job better.

She’s... really beautiful.

His eyes traced her face slowly, as if noticing it again for the first ti. Her skin looked smooth, untouched by any flaw. Her eyes held a calm depth that seed to hide countless secrets. Her lips were soft, naturally colored, not too bright, not too pale, just enough to draw attention without trying. Even the way her hair fell across her shoulders looked like it had been arranged by soone who understood perfection.

Clay blinked once.

Then again.

Wait... she’s actually this pretty?

He had seen her countless tis already. He had spoken to her. Ordered her. Fought beside her. But now, with everything that had happened, with his thoughts becoming sharper, more aware, it was as if he was seeing her in a different light.

"You..."

He spoke without thinking inside his head.

You’re really beautiful.

The words ca out naturally. Not forced. Not hesitant.

And once he started, he did not stop.

Your eyes look like they can see through everything, but at the sa ti, they don’t show anything at all. It’s strange. It makes people curious.

He stepped closer.

Your skin is clean. Too clean. It’s like you’ve never been touched by dirt or blood, even though I know that’s not true.

His voice beca slower, more thoughtful.

And your lips... they don’t try to stand out, but they still do. It’s annoying. The kind that makes people stare without realizing it.

Cerys froze.

Her heart skipped.

She did not move. She did not speak. She knew the young master was investigating her.

Clay continued.

And your figure... you don’t show it off, but it’s there. It’s obvious. Anyone with eyes can see it. You hide it well, but not enough.

His gaze lingered.

You look like soone who shouldn’t be standing behind

as a maid.

Silence.

Long silence.

Cerys did not react imdiately.

But inside her, sothing stirred.

A faint warmth crept up her neck.

Her fingers tightened slightly.

He...

He’s praising ?

She swallowed.

But Clay was not done.

That didn’t work enough.

He narrowed his eyes slightly.

Her reaction is too small.

Then his thoughts went further.

Much further.

Alright... let’s try sothing else.

His imagination began to move.

If she can hear my thoughts system...

Then let’s see how far it goes.

His mind drifted into sothing far more absurd.

How many children should we have...

His eyes remained calm, but inside, his thoughts beca vivid.

Three? No... that’s too little.

Five sounds better.

First one... a girl.

Na... hmm... sothing elegant... sothing noble...

Second one, a boy. He needs a strong na. Sothing that sounds powerful when shouted on a battlefield.

Third... twins? That would be interesting.

Fourth and fifth...

His lips twitched slightly.

Maybe I should let her decide the nas.

Cerys’ entire body stiffened.

Her face turned slightly red.

Her breathing beca uneven for a brief mont.

She lowered her head just a little.

W-What is he thinking this ti...

Children...?

Her ears felt hot.

Her heart began to beat faster.

Clay saw it.

A faint blush.

Just for a mont.

But it was there.

And that was enough.

A smile appeared on his face.

Got you.

But then...

His expression changed.

Wait.

He focused again.

Let’s test another one.

Inside his mind, he spoke again.

System.

There was a pause.

[Yes.]

Can she hear this?

[No confirmation.]

Clay narrowed his eyes.

Then imdiately, his thoughts changed again.

Alright, let’s think of system again.

If she reacts, then it ans she can hear everything except when I ntion you.

He continued.

If she doesn’t react... then sothing else is going on.

He stared at her.

He thought about sothing simple.

Her hand... I wonder how it feels to hold it.

Cerys’ fingers trembled slightly.

Her breath hitched.

There it was again.

Reaction.

Clear reaction.

Clay’s eyes sharpened.

So that’s it.

She can hear normal thoughts.

But when I ntion the system... she can’t.

His lips curved slightly.

That ans not all my secrets are exposed..

The tension inside him disappeared.

He no longer needed to worry about letting her know everything.

He no longer needed to hold back every thought.

A sense of relief washed over him.

At the sa ti, sothing else appeared.

Excitent.

This is actually useful.

He turned his attention back to the dinsional crack.

The Warchiefs were still waiting.

"What else?" one of them asked.

"What else do you require from us?"

Clay waved his hand casually.

"Forget everything else. Just focus on the Valmont Family and my maid Cy’s family."

His tone was light.

As if he did not care about anything beyond that.

The Warchiefs exchanged glances.

Then they nodded.

"Understood."

Their voices ca together.

Firm. Decisive.

Clay did not look at them anymore.

Instead, he turned toward Cerys.

Then, without warning, he walked toward her.

Step by step.

Cerys felt it.

Every step.

Every movent.

Her heart began to race.

He knows...

He definitely knows...

Is he going to...

Her thoughts spiraled.

Silence ?

Punish ?

Kill ?

She did not move.

She could not move.

Then suddenly—

Clay reached her.

And lifted her.

Just like that.

His arms wrapped around her waist.

He carried her effortlessly.

Cerys’ eyes widened.

Her face turned pale.

Her body stiffened completely.

This is it...

He’s going to—

"It’s good that you can hear my thoughts."

Cerys blinked.

"Huh?"

Her mind went blank.

Clay looked at her calmly.

"I need you to do sothing for ."

She stared at him, confused.

"What...?"

Clay spoke as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

"You need to pamper ."

Silence.

Long silence.

Cerys’ brain stopped.

"Pamper...?"

"Yes."

He nodded seriously.

"Take care of . Be affectionate. Think about

nicely. That kind of thing."

Cerys’ lips parted slightly.

"You... won’t punish ?"

She asked carefully.

"For hearing your thoughts?"

Clay shrugged.

"Why would I?"

He smiled.

"I actually like it."

Her eyes widened.

"And I know you can’t hear everything anyway."

Cerys froze.

That sentence hit her harder than anything else.

She looked at him.

Truly looked at him.

Shock filled her eyes.

He knows...

Clay saw it.

And he confird it.

Yep. I was right.

Cerys swallowed.

Her throat felt dry.

She could not deny it.

She could not hide it.

"Y-Yes..."

She whispered.

"I... understand."

Clay nodded.

"You know what to do, right?"

She lowered her head.

"I need to... pamper you."

"That’s right."

He smiled.

Inside his mind, the system suddenly rang.

[That is cheating, host.]

[ You can easily complete the missions with that ability. ]

Clay snorted internally.

Shut up.

It’s your fault.

You gave

this broken setup.

The system went silent.

[... ]

Completely.

Cerys hesitated.

Then she spoke softly.

"But young master..."

"Aren’t you already too powerful?"

She added.

"Do you really need sothing like this?"

Clay paused.

His throat tightened slightly.

He glanced around.

The destroyed battlefield.

The terrified soldiers.

The broken remains of everything.

Right...

I’m supposed to be the lonely strongest.

He cleared his throat.

"Power has nothing to do with it."

He said.

"My heart... still needs care."

He looked at her.

"I want soone to take care of

too."

Cerys’ face turned red.

Her heart softened.

I see...

He’s not just strong...

He’s lonely...

She nodded slowly.

"You want to feel... cared for."

Clay imdiately nodded.

"Yes. Exactly."

Perfect answer.

He was satisfied.

Then—

A voice interrupted.

"Young Warchief."

Clay turned his head.

"What?"
