What did this beautiful chic want with him? Eman asked internally.
"Yes? Do you need sothing?" He asked calmly.
He didn’t want to have anything to do with her. He rembered that this woman had run him over with a horse when they were on the subjugation mission, so it was better for him to avoid her.
Eman still felt a strange beating in his heart whenever he was around this girl. This was probably the so-called "lingering feelings", left by the forr owner of his body for this woman in front of him.
He didn’t know how to make it disappear forever. So far, his best thod was to avoid her as best as he could. He was hopeful that by doing that, it would disappear all the lingering feelings. But, he seems to have underestimated their love. Because even now, he still feels that there is still a little beat in his heart for this woman.
This feeling was of course not from Yeman but from the real Eman. Anyway, he couldn’t entertain it as it wasn’t his own feelings.
Looking at Hannah, it was obvious that she too still had so feelings toward the forr host, he could feel it. But perhaps the incident from the past complicates her feelings.
Eman waited for her reply. He tried to read the expression on her face but it was hard to read.
She had a frown on her face as she looked at him.
"Why are you here?" She suddenly asked him. Surprisingly, her voice was normal. No trace of anger or hatred.
Eman gawked and wondered what she ant.
"Uh, I’m looking for information in the library," he answered casually. But looking at the change in Hannah’s expression, it seed it wasn’t the answer she expected to get from him.
"That’s not what I an."
"Eh?" Eman blinked his eyes in wonder. "What do you an?" He asked. His brows knitted.
"You. Don’t you know what happened to your clan?"
With that question, he squinted his eyes and started pondering about what she ant. Why did Hannah bring about his clan? And what does she want to convey by ntioning this? This question erged in his mind.
After failing to respond, Hannah opened her mouth once again.
"I see. It seems like you’re not aware of it," Hannah sighed. "Where have you been these past days?"
"I’ve been doing so important tasks," Eman told her.
Hannah frowned at his reply. For so reason, this conversation felt nostalgic to her.
"I heard the emperor rewarded him with a piece of land." The girl next to Hannah suddenly interjected, saying it.
"Really?" Hannah blinked her beautiful eyes in surprise. She looked at him. Probably seeking confirmation from him.
Eman touched the back of her neck and nodded calmly. "That’s true." He couldn’t recognize those girls next to Hannah, but the girl who ntioned about him receiving a piece of land from the emperor, he was sure that she was with Hannah at that ti in the subjugation mission.
Hearing about the land, Hannah thought that maybe the important tasks Eman ntioned were connected to it.
After a long breath, her beautiful eyes fluttered as she looked at him. "In case you don’t know, your clan, the rciless Clan, is in big trouble right now."
Hannah inford him with a straight face.
Upon hearing it, Eman looked a bit surprised.
"Ha? The rciless Clan is in big trouble?"
"That’s right," Hannah nodded, then she started explaining to him what happened in his absence.
After a few minutes of listening, Eman closed and opened his eyes. A bead of sweat trailed on his face, but his face looked sowhat calm as always. "I see. Thank you very much for informing ."
Hannah was surprised by his calmness. It seed to her he suddenly turned into a different person. Perhaps the cause of it was his amnesia. There was a thorn in her heart as she thought about it.
Eman bid farewell to the girls after saying thanks to Hannah. He did not expect Hannah to tell him to be careful.
It seed they were up against a very troubleso clan this ti.
Eman secretly sighed.
After he left, One of Hannah’s companions, lly, looked at Hannah and asked. "Are you okay?"
Hannah’s face twitched. She exhaled then let out a sigh. "Yeah." Then she nodded. She felt very warm inside her chest. Her heartbeat was fast. A smile secretly leaked on her lips.
She misses talking with him and now they finally had a short conversation. That alone made her chest beat faster.
Eman went back to the barracks. When he approached it, he noticed the door was open. He was sure he locked it when he left a while ago.
He sensed so presence inside and judging by their presence, he could tell who they were.
"Yo!"
Eman greeted everyone with a grin. The gloomy eyes of his companions suddenly went wide upon seeing him.
"Dear!" It was Paula who scread first.
"Lead?!" The second who exclaid was Faye.
"Brother..."
For so reason, Herro looked less spirited than the others. He looked like soone who was carrying a heavy load on his shoulder.
"What’s up with our brother’s face? Did Yun finally realize how much of a player he was and finally break up with him?" Eman laughed.
"Ha!!? There’s no way that could be true! I’m the most loyal person in the whole world!" Herro exclaid.
Hahaha! Everyone chuckled.
"Alright, we’ll have a barbecue party today!" Eman cracked a smile.
Suddenly, the trio fell silent upon hearing his words. Then a gloomy atmosphere ca back. "By the way, Lead, where have you been?" Faye asked. His tone was serious.
He looked at him and let out a small sigh.
"Sorry, I’ve been busy these past few days and have no ti to co to the academy. My family moved to a new place. And the days beca a little hectic for us after that, but I’m sure I told Herro about my new location."
"Eh? Really?"
Everyone looked at Herro. Herro, who received their gazes, smiled bitterly.
There was a complicated expression on his face. He probably wanted to hide the issue from him.
"Pufff," Eman chuckled. "There’s no need to tell what happened, I already heard all about it from soone."
The trio gawked at him.
Eman waved his hand. "Don’t mind it. For now, let’s just have a barbecue party. I found a rare at the other day. I swear, you’ll regret it in your whole life if you’ll miss it out." He got so high-grade at from the gacha last night.
He planned to give it to Rowan, but with what happened to his clan, Eman decided to cheer them up with it.
"Rare at? I’m in!" A thunderous voice coming from outside surprised them. A second or two later, a fatty person appeared.
"Fatsu, your timing is good. Perhaps you have an amazing psychic power for food," Eman cracked a joke.
"Lead, one cannot think well, love well, or sleep well, if one has not eaten well."
"Isn’t it supposed to be "dined"?" Eman mumbled.
Then he grinned.
"Amazing. People who love to eat are always the best people!"
"Of course! Foodie adventures are the best adventures!"
"That’s very true, Fatsu!" Eman laughed.
Hearing them, the trio smiled wryly.
Eman glanced at them. "Rember, today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. What I an is that worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes away today’s peace." He grinned.
The three fell into deep thoughts from what they heard from their leader. They thought that what he said was right. If they continue to waste their ti worrying, nothing good will co of it.
"Alright, I’m in as well!" Faye shouted.
"Of course, Faye, you need it more than us," said Fatsu at Faye as he looked with a sympathetic look at Faye’s body.
"Damn you, Fatsu! Wait when I grow muscles, I’ll kick those bums’ asses!"
Eman and the others started laughing.
The group then enjoyed their barbecue party. The aroma of freshly cooked at is simply enticing and appetizing.
Even Eman was amazed by the at."As expected of the high-grade at. Everything was very delicious. In Eman’s eyes, he saw the increase in everyone’s stats, but it seed they didn’t notice it.
"Holy, I’ve never been this full in my entire life..." Faye said as he was resting with a bulging stomach. It seed like he suddenly beca pregnant.
Eman chuckled secretly as he looked at Faye with such a thought in his mind.
Eman was so late. He never thought he would reach this ti. It had been seven hours since he had told Zennie he would rest.
He can’t help it, so unexpected things happened.
Eman told them not to be bothered much by their current situation. As a leader, it was his responsibility. He would find a way to settle their predicant.
