"Alright. I’ll be there in a minute."
After Eman’s response to Azure, he dodged the sneak attack from behind him.
"How did you notice that?!"
The head in his hand shouted a question.
Eman already expected it to happen because most of the possessed individuals he fought before were like that. They didn’t die even if you cut their heads.
It looked like this one was also no different.
"Didn’t I tell you that I’m a cult slayer?" After saying that in a nonchalant tone, Eman sent a strong horizontal kick to the headless body which caused it to stumble hard and roll on the ground again.
Rossbert exclaid. "What?! That thing can still fight!?!"
Rossbert must be very surprised seeing that.
"That kind of injury is not enough to kill them," Eman answered Rossbert’s question.
Rather, he was more surprised that Rossbert still had the strength to scream even though he seed to be struggling to stay conscious because of his condition.
Eman brought the head in front of him. "You know, if you don’t behave, I’m going to burn your head. I’m sure not even you will survive if I do that, right?" Eman threatened the head in his hand.
Hearing his emotionless threat, the enemy fell silent and looked hesitant. But the next mont, it scread again.
"Do you think you can scare ?! Hell no!" The enemy did not listen to his threat and his headless body spun and jumped to attack again.
However, despite the enemy’s quick movents, Eman dodged the claws and caught its arm.
At that mont, he noticed the burn marks on the enemy’s arm. It was the sa mark that is described in the diary.
That indicated that this one was a mber of the cult he was looking for.
Eman then used his left-hand ability, the Stun Finger, to paralyze the enemy’s body. The enemy didn’t know what happened after that. His vision turned black suddenly.
Even Rossbert wondered what happened at that mont. He saw the enemy stopped moving. Then suddenly, the head and the body disappeared in thin air.
And weirdly enough, he could not sense its presence anymore.
Rossbert blinked his eyes several tis, wondering if he was just hallucinating. As he was doing that, he noticed his vision approaching the ground towards the masked man. "?!" Probably, the creature that was carrying him was about to land.
Thump!
The creature tossed him on the icy ground. Now, lying on the ground, "You’re tough." He heard such a complint from the masked man who was standing beside him.
Hearing such complints from this person made Rossbert laugh wryly.
He wanted to ask many questions, but he had no strength to do so. After realizing the enemy had completely disappeared, Rossbert just wanted to let his consciousness be swept away and succumbed to this feeling of wanting to faint.
But Rossbert’s pair of garnet eyes opened wider when he noticed the object in that person’s hand.
"Here, take this. This will help you recover."
A brilliant red liquid inside a bottle! There’s no need to question what that is!
"An elixir!"
Ugh!
Rossbert exclaid and groaned.
"I see. You still have enough spare energy. I bet you don’t need this."
He was about to hide it back, but unfortunately, Rossbert quickly lifted his hand to grab it.
"Ugh, no d-don’t, I-I need it. I pretty much need it!"
Under his mask, Eman smiled wryly. He put the Healing Exilir in Rossbert’s hand.
After arduous attempts of uncapping it, he finally succeeded. Rossbert did not hesitate and chugged it in one go.
—ahhhhh!
He expelled so much excess air from his mouth a mont later.
Suddenly, he noticed his body glowed.
"What?!"
Rossbert blinked his eyes several tis as he was srized by the effect of the elixir on his body.
"T-This elixir is...!"
"...This was different from the usual elixir!" He exclaid.
"That’s a magical elixir."
He heard such a reply from the person beside him.
"Magical elixir...? So... this wasn’t an ordinary elixir that can be bought in the market?"
"That’s right. It not only heals your injuries, but it can vaccinate you from any ailnt as well."
That’s right. That’s why Eman wasn’t afraid of the curse from the demonized enemy. Besides the truth that the curse would disappear after ti runs out, he also had an elixir that could lift it away.
"Ooh—" Rossbert looked fascinated at the effect of the elixir after drinking it.
He felt like he’d just recovered from a serious illness. He suddenly felt energized. This kind of dicine is what they needed! Rossbert thought deep within his mind.
Behind his mask, Eman secretly observed Rossbert’s reaction.
Seeing the positive reaction from him, Eman secretly smiled.
There was a reason why he did all this. That was... to promote his dicine in a more effective and not shady way.
"Mister Masked Man, sir. Where did you buy this Magical Elixir?" This is the first ti I have seen this kind of elixir. Not even in the capital city can this kind of elixir be bought. Although there are many great alchemists in the capital, I can’t rember seeing this kind of elixir everywhere in the capital. No, not only in the capital but also in other cities and towns I have been to before!"
Eman grinned behind the mask before he acted as if he was thinking.
"Hm..."
"It’s from a foreign rchant that a trustworthy person recomnded," he replied casually.
Hearing what he said, Eman noticed the sudden change in the expression on Rossbert’s face.
"A, a foreign rchant...?" Rossbert’s eyes suddenly shone. "Can you tell where I can find them?"
Eman smiled wryly.
"Ha-ha... uhm, I don’t know where to find them either because they seed to be traveling rchants."
Hearing that, Rossbert looked dejected.
"A traveling rchant, huh? It just ant that they didn’t stay in one place..." muttered Rossbert in a dispirited voice.
"But the person who recomnded this elixir introduced himself as an Honourable Knight of the Empire. He sowhat looked like soone who knew about the rchant."
Rossbert’s eyes ablaze once again upon hearing that.
But wait...
"Honourable Knight...?" This sounded familiar.
No, actually, he knew soone who had that status. Could he probably an that person?
Regardless, this masked man and that person both are super strong. Rossbert could not deny it.
