"Argh!" Guren groaned in pain.

His body was bound to a tree by thick, powerful roots that wrapped tightly around him. He struggled to move his arms, but it was useless.

The roots were far too strong—he couldn't even budge an inch.

anwhile, Zelda floated in the air, hovering just twenty ters away.

She stared coldly at Guren in his pitiful state, showing not a shred of sympathy.

Her eyes burned with hatred and rage. Because of Guren, the Evil God's consciousness had escaped and ravaged the Forest of Eternal Silence—the place they called ho.

Thankfully, the protective barrier shielded their land from complete destruction. Still, the damage caused by the Evil God's presence was far too severe to be forgiven.

"This is the end for you, Guren!" Zelda shouted.

She raised her right hand high. Instantly, a thick root burst from the sand and wrapped around Guren's body again.

With her left hand, she extended her arm and began whispering in Elven—chanting a powerful spell.

*Whoosh!*

A massive magic circle appeared above Guren's head, glowing deep red as it spun slowly.

From within, it unleashed a giant fireball nearly twenty ters in diater.

Its presence made the air within a two-hundred-ter radius surge with heat.

Seeing that, Guren's eyes widened in terror.

"No! I don't want to die! Argh!" He scread hysterically, thrashing wildly in a desperate attempt to break free—but it was all in vain.

Seconds later, the massive fireball struck the tree he was bound to and exploded with devastating force.

The blast unleashed a violent shockwave that surged in every direction, kicking up white sand in a furious storm.

When the wave finally subsided, Zelda looked down to assess Guren's condition.

The large tree was engulfed in flas, burning fiercely. And Guren… was burning along with it.

His body had turned black, charred like charcoal. His mouth hung open, frozen in a silent scream at the mont of death.

It was a horrifying sight—enough to make anyone tremble.

But Zelda showed no hint of rcy. In her heart, the punishnt Guren received was far from sufficient.

His actions had led to the deaths of many Elf soldiers—an irreparable loss for both her and the Elf Kingdom.

To her, repaying the lives of thousands with just one death felt far too lenient.

Had Leon seen what she was thinking at that mont, he would've given her a thumbs-up and said, "As expected of the Elf Queen—ruthless and decisive!"

The flas continued to consu the tree until they eventually died out. Guren's body had turned to ash, scattered by the wind.

Zelda shook her head softly, then turned her gaze toward Leon, who was still locked in battle with the Evil God's consciousness.

"Alright… It's ti to help Leon," she said firmly.

Although they were facing only the Evil God's consciousness and not his true form, his power was still overwhelming.

Zelda felt a deep unease—afraid that Leon might not be strong enough to defeat him.

After all, he had only just awakened as the Fated One. His strength had yet to reach the level needed to face an evil god-like entity.

Just as Zelda was about to rush to Leon's aid, sothing unexpected happened.

*Boom!*

A thunderous explosion erupted behind her, making her flinch.

She quickly turned her head and imdiately saw a brilliant white light shooting into the sky.

Amid the burst of holy power, a man slowly took shape in midair.

His once-shattered body was reassembling—visibly, piece by piece, right before her eyes.

"Guren? He returned from the dead? No... how is that even possible?" Zelda whispered, her face frozen in disbelief.

No matter how she tried to reason it out, it made no sense.

But just a few seconds later, she composed herself and adopted a cold, indifferent expression.

"Even if he can resurrect, it doesn't matter. I'll kill him as many tis as it takes," she said flatly.

She raised her right hand, and instantly, two massive roots burst from the ground on either side of Guren, surging toward him.

To her shock, they shattered the mont they touched the holy power surrounding his body.

"What!?" Zelda gasped in horror, her eyes wide with shock. "How is this possible!?"

While Zelda struggled to process what she saw, Guren's body had fully restored itself.

His eyes glowed with a fierce white light, and on his forehead shone the bright symbol of the hero's destiny.

The mont their gazes locked, a violent surge of anger erupted from him.

"I'll kill you!" he roared, bending his legs as he launched forward with incredible speed.

He moved so fast that Zelda barely had ti to react.

*Bang!*

A brutal punch slamd into her stomach, sending her flying five hundred ters backward.

But Guren wasn't finished. In an instant, he teleported, reappearing right behind her.

This ti, Zelda was ready. She twisted her body swiftly, dodging his attack, then countered with a powerful kick to his waist.

The blow sent Guren staggering, but he quickly regained his balance in midair.

*Boom!*

A violent explosion of holy power burst from Guren's body, blasting away everything nearby—including Zelda.

He stretched out his right hand, and from the air, a long black sword slowly materialized.

At first glance, it looked like an ordinary sword—only longer, with a suffocating black aura enveloping the blade.

As soon as he gripped the hilt, the holy power surrounding him faded, replaced by a dark, sinister force.

The white light in his eyes turned pitch black, and the hero's destiny symbol on his forehead was completely blackened.

A deathly aura radiated outward, causing Zelda to tremble uncontrollably with fear.

"Dark power, huh? So this is what Leon was talking about earlier," she muttered under her breath.

Before the battle, she and Leon had carefully planned their strategy.

Leon's role was to separate the Evil God's consciousness from Guren, while Zelda's task was to hold Guren off for as long as possible.

If she could, she was even expected to defeat—or kill—him.

But Leon had already warned her: Guren possessed a terrifying transformation ability fueled by dark power, making him extrely dangerous if she got caught by his attacks.

She was told to be cautious.

Now, seeing the transformation firsthand, she had to admit—it was truly terrifying.

A smile slowly spread across her lips as she rose to her feet.

"If you have your transformation, then so do I!" Zelda declared.

With those words, a vibrant green aura burst from her body.

On her forehead, a tree-shaped symbol began to glow, while behind her, a towering avatar of a tree appeared.

Looking closely, the tree resembled the legendary World Tree.

Their fierce gazes locked, and then, in an instant, both vanished from their positions and unleashed their most powerful attacks.

*Boom!*
