The altar in the Hall of Glory was where her connection with the Great Sword of Chaos had first begun.

Back then, he had nearly pulled the sword from the altar where it stood firmly planted—but was stopped by the mysterious middle-aged man wearing a blindfold, as if he were blind.

As such, he was very familiar with this altar. And now, as the sa altar appeared before him once more, he couldn't help but wonder if there was a deeper connection.

"Why are you silent, Leon? Is sothing bothering you?" Zelda asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

Leon took a deep breath, turned to her, and shook his head.

"No... it's nothing," he replied calmly. "Anyway, let's go up to the altar."

Zelda could sense the lie in his words and grew even more curious about what he might be hiding.

Still, she said nothing and simply nodded. "Mm! Let's go."

Together, they carefully ascended the altar stairs. The building was old—many of the steps were broken, and the stone had clearly weathered with ti.

To avoid slipping, both Leon and Zelda had to watch their footing.

Leon tightened his grip on Zelda's hand, which only made her more flustered.

A few minutes later, they finally reached the top of the altar, where partially destroyed humanoid statues stood guard.

They walked to the center and ca to a stop. Leon turned to Zelda, who was standing just behind him, and asked, "So, how do we communicate with the Spirit of the World Tree?"

"To communicate, we must ditate and align our consciousness with hers," Zelda replied softly.

Leon nodded slowly. "Then you go first. I'll keep watch."

"Mm! I'm counting on you," Zelda said with a sweet smile.

She crouched down and brushed the dust off the altar's surface before sitting cross-legged.

Leon took a few steps back—about two ters—and crossed his arms, watching her intently.

He wanted to understand how Zelda communicated with the Spirit of the World Tree—and perhaps, learn how to do it himself.

Maybe after this, he could try to establish direct contact with the spirit on his own.

Zelda slowly opened her palms and brought them together.

*Whoosh!*

Monts later, a soft green light erged from her body. It began faintly, then gradually brightened, casting a gentle glow across the entire altar.

The surrounding statues seed to tremble ever so slightly, as if resonating with the light.

"Will this really work?" Leon muttered, eyes fixed seriously on Zelda.

To be honest, he wasn't sure she could pull it off. And he had good reason to doubt.

Zelda had previously said that the Spirit of the World Tree couldn't be reached because she was corrupted by the dark power of the Evil God.

And even though the Sacred Altar had reopened, that didn't guarantee they could reach her.

After all, the core issue was the Spirit of the World Tree—still tainted by the dark power of the Evil God.

And just as he had feared, the bright green light around Zelda began to flicker before suddenly shattering into countless glowing fragnts.

Zelda opened her eyes, her expression grim, frustration and anger etched clearly across her face.

"What a failure..." she muttered through clenched teeth, her right fist tightening at her side.

She had expected this outco—but still, she had tried, holding on to the small hope that she might reach the Spirit of the World Tree.

But the result was just as she'd anticipated. Nothing.

The spirit seed to be in a deep slumber, completely unreachable.

"So it was all in vain, huh?" Leon's voice ca from beside her.

Zelda let out a long sigh, then stood and dusted off the bottom of her dress.

She looked at Leon and gave a small nod. "Yes, it was. I think we should shift our focus to the dark power surrounding the World Tree. Maybe then, we'll have a chance of reaching the spirit."

Leon fell silent for a mont—then said sothing unexpected.

"How about I give it a try? Maybe I can communicate with her."

Zelda was stunned. She opened her mouth to respond, but Leon cut her off.

"Rember how I got the last fragnt of the key?" he asked.

Zelda's eyes widened as the mory ca rushing back.

The reason Leon had been able to obtain the final fragnt was because it had been given to him directly by the lingering consciousness of the Spirit of the World Tree.

And that could only an one thing—the spirit had been waiting for his arrival, hoping Leon would one day reach her.

As for why, Zelda couldn't say for certain. But she strongly suspected it had sothing to do with the dark power that had taken hold of the World Tree.

After all, only the Fated One could save her.

A faint smile ford on Zelda's lips. She didn't object and instead said, "Alright, go ahead and try. But if it doesn't work, we'll find another way."

"Okay!" Leon grinned, stretching a little before slowly sitting down.

Zelda stepped back to give him space—so he could ditate in peace.

"Huft..." Leon exhaled deeply, closed his eyes, and brought his palms together.

But instead of reaching out to the Spirit of the World Tree right away, he contacted Miranda first.

"Miranda, can you help ?" he asked softly.

"To communicate with the Spirit of the World Tree, Master?" Her calm voice echoed in his mind.

"Yes, that's right," Leon replied casually. "But I'm not sure I can do it alone. Zelda couldn't reach her, and I doubt I'll have any more luck. Do you know of a way?"

Miranda was silent for a mont before answering, "There is one way, Master—you must use both holy power and the power of chaos together."

"Oh?" Leon raised an eyebrow slightly. "Go on, tell more."

"As you know, the Spirit of the World Tree is in a deep sleep," Miranda said. "She's doing so to prevent the dark power from fully consuming her. Her consciousness space has been locked down—so the only way to reach her is to force our way in."

"In other words, we need to break through the dark power that's sealing off her consciousness."

Leon paused for a mont, processing her words, then smiled.

"I get it. So to destroy that barrier, we'll need both holy power and the power of chaos, right?"

"Exactly!" Miranda replied with a satisfied tone. "That's the only way."

"Alright, let's begin!" Leon said eagerly.

His mastery over chaos power had advanced significantly.

He no longer needed to transform—an act that usually altered his appearance—to wield it.

Although he still hadn't reached full control, it was a major step forward.

*Boom!*

A surge of holy power erupted from his body, shooting upward and lighting up the space as it struck the ceiling. But it didn't stop there—chaos power followed, bursting out and rising alongside the holy power.

Instead of clashing, the two forces—opposites by nature—blended in perfect harmony, intertwining in a breathtaking display of energy.

Witnessing this, Zelda's eyes sparkled with admiration. "How beautiful..."
