"W-Wait..." Aaron wheezed, his cheeks flushed under the pressure of her bloodlust, "Y-You are not a human..."

Mrs Clint cackled, "You’re a smart man indeed." she said sarcastically, "Then you should know why you’re being killed right? It’s not your fault, not mine either. Bla luck."

How casually she talked about death pissed Aaron to no end, his heart racing as his mind flickered with ideas, thinking of the ways how he could get this maniac off his back.

He thought that she was just the ice cold ntality teacher that was very strict, those kinds that appeared beyond delectable in the fantasy, but the reality turned out to be much different.

She wasn’t cold, not even close. She was just a psychotic monster hiding in the skin of humans and biding ti for so reason that he didn’t know of.

"You don’t want anyone to find out that you’re not a human, right?" he asked, staring into her serpentine eyes, trying his best not to scrunch back in fear.

He still didn’t have a single clue about her race, all he knew was that she wasn’t a human.

Considering that she wielded the powers of lust and charm, she could be sothing like a succubus, but there wasn’t enough data to comnt on that fact yet.

Hearing his question, Mrs Clint smiled, "Do you really think I can continue this mundane stupid job anymore, young man?" she asked with a scoff.

"Yes!" Aaron instantly nodded, "I will not open my mouth. To anyone. I’ll give you my word."

"A word of a human is even cheaper than a pile of turd." She snickered, her lips curling upwards in a sadistic amusent.

"Listen to ." He raised his hands in surrender, "If you kill , everyone will know that you’re not a human. I will not go out silently."

Mrs Clint humd, tapping her chin as if in thought, or rather, that was just a ploy as the instant Aaron’s defence faltered for a single second, mana shot out of her body, forming a small translucent barrier around the two.

It floated in a spherical shape around them, "Thanks for reminding, now it’s soundproof. No one can hear anything."

Aaron stared at her blankly, his heart beating faster, there was not a single idea that interested him or made him feel like ’yes, that could work.’

To him Mrs Clint appeared like an insatiable monster that wouldn’t let him go no matter what.

"If you kill your secret will be compromised, and if you leave alive, your secret CAN be compromised. I know you don’t trust , but which out of the two sounds more probable to happen?" Words poured out of his mouth like a gatling gun, as if he was a new and upcoming rapper.

"If we were in a dark small cave or an alley, you could’ve killed and gotten away with it. But no. Nancy loves , she knows I am in here, and if you delay just a few more monts, she will co bursting in to check why I am not out yet.

But of course, you’re much stronger than or her, so let’s say you kill her. Then what? Massacre the whole school and get yourself under the radar of every human? I am not knowledgeable about where your strength lies in the leaderboards, but I am willing to bet there are at least so humans who can defeat you just as easily as you can defeat .

So? I still promise you that I won’t leak your secrets, you can live as a teacher and continue this mundane lifestyle, as you called it."

Aaron finished his long dialogue, selling it like a world class pitch by the best shopkeeper in the town.

And to make it worse for Mrs Clint, there was nothing false in his entire long yap.

He wasn’t wrong, she couldn’t just kill him and continue being a teacher. She would be caught in an instant.

And if she killed him and escaped? Well... what was the point of killing him then? She could just escape regardless.

If she actually allowed him to live, there was at least a small, miniscule chance that she wouldn’t be ratted off to authorities.

"I cannot trust a human... but you’re right." Mrs Clint breathed a long sigh, moving her hand through her hair as very subtly, sothing about her began to change.

Her pupils reford back into the normal circular shape, and the overwhelming bloodlust began to recede.

"You can really trust , I am not like other humans." Aaron promised, looking into her lavender eyes which no longer appeared dangerous and deadly, but sexy instead.

And this ti, it was his feeling speaking as her charming scent was no longer affecting him. Not until he was wearing the mana barrier, at least.

Mrs Clint looked at him with a side-eye at his words, scoffing when she saw the seriousness behind his gaze.

"I guess if you want to keep a secret then I will give you all the more reason to." she said calmly, acting completely different from how she acted before, "I am not a killer. I am not soone who wants fights. I just... want to hide. I won’t be a danger to humanity, I give you my word. And unlike you humans, our words are sacred."

"What’s your race then? How can I believe you that your word is sacred?" Aaron asked, feeling too intrigued about the fantasy races of Solaris.

It was the first ti he saw one, the condition was less than ideal, but a et was a et in his books.

However it seed like Mrs Clint took his question in another way, her eyebrows knitting in displeasure, "You will believe it because I said so, boy. Don’t you dare doubt it again or I will really kill you."

And before Aaron could even reply, she moved away, the translucent barrier disappearing and her hand shooting towards him at a fast speed.

For a brief instance, Aaron felt like he was just betrayed, that she just wanted him to lower his guard before killing him.

But of course, nothing like that happened.

Mrs Clint grabbed the answer sheet from his desk and began walking to her desk as if nothing happened, and at that exact mont, Nancy’s head peeked into the classroom, confused as to why it was taking so long.

"What brings Ms Lopez back, hmm?" Mrs Clint asked calmly.
