Aaron clenched the swordstaff in his hands.

It was a two-handed weapon and great for all kinds of different attacks.

He could slash with the blade, hit blunt with the poml on the staff, stab with the pointed edge and even block with the long body of the weapon.

It was a very all rounded weapon, and if there was any flaw, it was that it was heavy.

A lot of tal was used in its forgery, thus increasing its weight and making the fighting style more on the slower side compared to the lighter and swifter weapons...

Or that’s how it should be.

But Aaron was not a normal man. He was an aspiring raider, with a ton of stats under his belt.

The reason he specifically picked this swordstaff was because its weight was decently in his comfort zone, and to make it better, it would only get increasingly lighter as the more stats he gets!

Thus, Aaron wasn’t worried.

He calmly watched as the hobgoblin shrieked at him and then began to charge at Aaron with a decent agility.

Being nearly 6 feet tall, the hobgoblin couldn’t even be terd as a goblin as he was about the sa height as Aaron.

When the hobgoblin arrived, he made a fist and tried to bash Aaron’s skull in with a straight punch.

But Aaron easily dodged to the side, avoiding the attack and counter attacking with a decisive slash at the hobgoblin’s torso.

With a single attack, the blade was greased with green blood and hobgoblin grunted out in pain.

His ugly face twisted into an even uglier expression, eyes getting redder in rage. And without an ounce of restraint, he lunged at Aaron.

"Damn, against Claire it wasn’t much, but now I can feel the real agility." Aaron dodged backwards, avoiding the hobgoblin’s attacks with ease.

He could actually see the foe moving in slow motion, his body feeling fluid and so responsive that by the ti he finished the thought, he had already done the action.

And since he didn’t actually get to go all out with Claire, this was the first ti he got a chance to test out his enhanced stats.

They were great... To say the least.

Getting a flat 34 in all the stats was nothing to scoff at, and to make it even worse for the poor hobgoblin... The worst was still to co.

Aaron kept dodging and dancing around the small arena, getting deja vu for his previous fight against the boss goblin warrior, where he had dodged like a monkey until the boss ran out of stamina.

Of course, that wasn’t his plan this ti.

He was no longer dodging aimlessly but actually studying the hobgoblin’s movents and trying his best to minimize the movents he needed to execute a perfect dodge.

Such as, when Aaron was punched at his shoulder, he dipped the shoulder and used its montum to punch the hobgoblin in a counterattack, instead of retreating many steps and wasting the chance.

This continued for a good 5 minutes.

At the start, Nancy cheered from the side, excited to see her lover/fuckbuddy exercising his strength against a level 15 enemy!

She had trusted his instincts and thought that he would be fine, and he indeed was.

But the longer the fight dragged on, Nancy’s cheers slowed down. She could only look at him manhandling the poor unard monster as he experinted with his stats.

Now she understood why he was daring to ask for a level 20 monster, instead of a level 15.

And if that wasn’t enough to make her surprised, Aaron’s next move surely did.

"Reverse senses."

He said at a dium volu, his lips curled into a smirk as he watched the opposing hobgoblin.

He was huffing, exhausted and leaking with the green blood as the scar on his torso refused to clot or heal.

Nancy’s breath hitched audibly after hearing the cursed skill’s na, the ti they spent at her house and car ca rushing over her as she clenched her thighs with a flushed expression on her face.

Aaron, unknown to Nancy’s expression, summoned his swordstaff back into his right arm.

He was feeling so confident that he didn’t even need to use both hands, as he clenched on the handle and swung it at the hobgoblin in a lazy slash.

There was barely any power behind it, barely any motivation or speed. The hobgoblin saw it too, and he didn’t seem worried about the strike at all.

Feeling too tired to dodge, he raised the two of his arms, confident that his muscles and bones could easily block that blow.

And his instincts were indeed correct.

He blocked the strike, but the damage was already dealt.

The mont the weapon’s blade slid across the hobgoblin’s forearms, a scream tore out of his lips.

His guard was lowered and he fell onto his knees, shrieking in pain. Green blood trickled down his arms, inking the concrete field with the green.

’That’s more like it.’ Aaron smirked in satisfaction.

The plan to use his skill as an utilitarian skill until he gets sufficient battle knowledge seed perfect.

The only problem was the long cooldown, but that was a manageable con, as their team can delay their battles, target the skill on taking difficult opponents first and then going for weaker ones until the skill got off cooldown.

There were many ways to counter the con, and pros were quite obvious as despite not being hit anymore, the hobgoblin still struggled to regain his clarity after 5 seconds.

In the battle, those 5 seconds were ample to end a life.

And as if to prove it, Aaron raised his swordstaff and swiftly stabbed the hobgoblin through the chest, ending his miserable existence and finally gaining what he ca for...
