"How did those bitches record everything in the stadium so clearly?!" Claire burst out, looking at Rye’s smirk which was even more infuriating to her.
"Jaq was on drone lookout duty." Eva added coldly.
Suddenly accused, Jaq turned to look at Eva mildly, "My sweet dear healer, I dare you to focus on a fucking small ass drone while we are getting our asses handed to us by a fucking mimic."
She said without pulling any of her punches.
After all, who can focus on paparazzis and drones when their own life is in danger?
"In addition, the drone was recording with night vision until the point of spotlight." Lia shook her head, voicing her support for Jaq, "None of us could’ve noticed a flying piece of tal in such darkness. Especially under the threat of death."
Eva parted her lips to refute the excuses, but no words ca out of her mouth.
Even though she knew that Jaq wasn’t at fault, she just wanted soone to bla this on.
Aaron gently patted her shoulder, easing Eva’s breathing slightly.
He didn’t let his touch linger though, knowing that going too far will just be adding onto Lia and Katie’s suspicions.
However unlike Claire and Eva, he wasn’t really feeling on edge about this clip and news.
Maybe he just didn’t understand the repercussions of it since he was new to the world, or maybe they were being too protective of him.
He didn’t know, but there was nothing he could do either.
The news was already on the internet and TVs. Neither he nor any of the cohort mbers had enough connections to get it down at the mont.
However before he could even think too much about the news, his phone began to ring.
At first he was worried if it was from guilds and such, since he was told to be careful about their scouting, but a single look at the caller ID put him at ease.
