The chances of us encountering a goblin were 70%, and 30% for Red Anthro.

As for the gilded coohen, I could only sigh at Ruby and Greg’s hopeful look.

We had 0% of encountering it, as we all were above level 5.

The dungeon boss’s door only opened every 5-10 minutes on average.

Although there were just 2 more groups in front of us, it would take at least 15 more minutes.

So we all just stood leaning against the cold stone walls of the labyrinth, talking amongst ourselves.

Every once in a while I sensed a heated gaze at , coming from any random girl that was also in the queue.

They were looking at as if I was just a piece of cheap at to devour.

Most of the n were also suffering from a similar treatnt, only that they didn’t seem to enjoy it as much as .

Why the fuck were they uncomfortable from it?

I felt okay about the gazes because that’s how I looked at them too.

In my eyes I was judging, rating, appreciating all the won my eyes landed on, so what was the problem if they wanted to do the sa?

I made so eye contact with quite pretty ladies, but none of them approached our group, for so reason.

Ti passed by in silence, and finally, there was no one left ahead of us in the queue.

The door was shut at first, but automatically after 5 minutes, it creaked open like that door in a haunted film.

Just like everything in this labyrinth so far, the interior of the door was covered in a veil of darkness, emitting invisible pressure on all three of us.

Ruby and Lina were unbothered, too used to the aura of these weak floor 1 bosses.

As per our planning, I had to take the frontline along with Greg, while Klaus would support us from behind.

That bastard was a mage, I could only wonder how he had the gals to say he can solo the boss.

Just one scratch from the would hospitalize this smug bastard, yet he was bragging.

Though most of my irritation ca from the fact that Klaus had this aweso class that gave him magic spells, while I could only choose skills that made better at fucking.

So unfair!

Ruby and Lina were standing a few steps away, after assuring us that they will be here to help if we cannot handle the boss ourselves.

We walked deeper into the darkness, my heart thumping with every step into the unknown.

I could barely see 1 ter ahead of , it felt like we were walking down a straight line, a narrow path that opened up into a bigger room.

Unlike the rest of the labyrinth, this room was lit in a dim, blue glow.

There was no illumination source in sight, yet everything appeared crystal clear.

There was a door at the end of the room, appearing similar to the door that we just entered.

And in the center of it, was an ant.

A giant, red ant.

"Ugh, Red Anthro!" Greg cursed under his breath, shooting Lina a glance.

"You can do it, it’s slow, use the speed against it." Lina cutely pumped up her hand, cheering her boyfriend like an absolute sweetheart.

I was trying hard not to get jealous of this man.

Goddamn, how many good deeds did he commit in his past life to deserve such a good partner?

Luckily for , the ant stole all of our attention.

It rose to its 6 legs, opening the mandibles and screeching at us in rage.

Its chitinous armor was glinting in the mysterious dim light, eyes locked onto us.

Thankfully, it was slow, just as Ruby and Lina had already told us.

"FIREBALL!" Klaus shouted from behind, pulling out a wand from his jacket and aiming it at the ant like an experienced wizard from the Harry Potter films.

Heeding his command, I watched mana obediently flowing at the tip of his wand, slowly compacting, getting hotter and hotter.

It barely took a second or two for the fireball to get ready, burning at a dangerously high temperature.

He shot it at the ant, hitting it on the armoured body.

The ant shrieked again, in pain and even more rage.

"Get ready, Aaron." Greg said to while unsheathing his saber.

I scoff, pulling out my falcata from its scabbard, locking my eyes onto the incoming monster.

I was really tempted to use reverse senses on the beast, I had a feeling that it would be fun to watch the ant squirm and shriek in pain after I slice off its leg.

Alas, I was level 4 with no skill.

I dash to the left of the ant while Greg went right.

I tried to target their joints on the abdon, the thinnest parts of their body that was easiest to attack... normally.

But this was no re ant, it was a boss monster of floor 1.

It was not harmless like a tiny little insect that you can crush under the foot.

The ant’s legs appeared thin and sharp, strong enough to slice through our flesh with ease.

And despite being only half my height, I couldn’t afford to take it for granted.

I slash my falcata in a wide arc, finally using Ruby’s teachings as I slice off a leg cleanly.

Its blood was yellowish in colour, thick enough that it barely leaked out of the wound.

From the other side, Greg also managed to slice off a leg, heavily ruining the ant’s balance as Klaus’s next fireball hit it perfectly on the head.

Were all fights supposed to be this easy?

This was a boss monster, hell it barely lasted a few slices!

And it wasn’t even just , Klaus and Greg were similar to my level and they were easily rolling this ant too.

Hah. Here I thought, being a raider would be a dangerous task–

"AARON! DODGE–"

Ruby’s voice reached to , my eyes widening as I saw sothing move from the corner of my vision.

It was the ant.

A part that I ignored because I was avoiding it easily.

Its sting.

I never knew that it was a projectile.

No one told ... and now, I was too slow to dodge.

As fast as I could, I jumped out of the way, shifting my body as much as I could to avoid a critical hit.

It hit .

It hit hard.

I could feel it piercing my bone and flesh, my body stumbling back as my nerves went haywire.

Goddamn it.

The acid.

"AARON–"
