With a sudden start, I jolt awake in an instant, my heart pounding in my chest. My eyes snap open, and before stands a beautiful woman with long brown hair and sparkling blue eyes.
"Mom~" I mutter softly, my chest still heaving with the remnants of my rapid heartbeat.
"I told you to stop calling that; it's been five years since we—"
BAM!
The door suddenly flings open wide, revealing a small girl with white hair tied into a single ponytail. She bursts into the room with a joyful deanor, a radiant smile on her face.
"Anya! How many tis have I told you not to barge into the room again?!" Mom scolds, her voice carrying a mixture of irritation and concern. However, her words trail off as she notices Anya's gaze fixed on .
"Papa!" Anya exclaims, her tiny feet carrying her toward at full speed. She leaps onto the bed, causing it to dip slightly under her weight.
"Waaaaaaaaaah!! Where have you been, Daddy?!" Anya cries, tears streaming down her face.
"Daddy is sorry, Anya. I'll never leave you again~" I murmur, gently caressing Anya's head. Surprisingly, it doesn't take more than a few seconds before exhaustion overtakes her, and she drifts into slumber.
"Why did she fall asleep so quickly?" I inquire, my voice barely above a whisper, bewildered by Anya's sudden drowsiness.
For so reason, Mom chooses to ignore my question. Instead, she pulls a small chair closer to the bed where I'm seated, taking a seat herself.
"Now tell ... Where have you been for over a month? An anonymous person brought you ho unconscious yesterday and left without a word. Tell ... Why did you abandon your wife and child for over a month without letting us know your whereabouts? The others are also in the dark about where you went.
You've caused us all so much worry! Where did you go, Kelan?" Mom's words are laced with a mix of frustration, anger, and genuine concern.
Hearing Mom's words, I let out a sigh... I move my body backward a bit, resting my back on the bed fra.
"Mom, take Anya into her ro--"

Anna doesn't hesitate one bit as she gets up from her seat, carries Anya from my arms, and begins to carry her out of the room.

"So... Are you going to tell where you've been for over a month?" Anna asks, her expression turning serious.
"Well, I went to another galaxy... To know more about the source of my power..." I answer honestly.
"A-Another galaxy... I-Is that even possible? It hasn't been long since when other planets were discovered..." Anna mutters, confused.
"Yeah. I know it's hard to believe. But since the discovery of other planets and races, many spaceships capable of going such long distances have been discovered. I just had to covet one for myself," I explain to Anna.
"I see... B-But... How did you get one? I an, the humans are currently struggling to catch up with the other races after splitting up and taking planet Manov as our ho planet..." Anna mutters, still confused.
Hearing her words, I reveal a small smile.
"The humans are not struggling to catch up. Those technologies are currently top secret since humans are trying to create more of them. Besides, I got mine from the Azure dragon lord," I reveal.
"Waaaah~ Azure dragon lord..." Anna mutters in surprise and her expression slowly changes into a smile.
"I'm glad to see our child has grown a bit... I have also missed you so- much," I say as I grab Anna's hand lightly, slowly caressing it till I reach her chest, and unbutton about four buttons, revealing her cleavage. As I am about to unbutton the last button, Anna suddenly grabs my hand.
"I have sothing important to tell you. It's about our daughter, sothing strange is happening to her."
