Yun Jhin left the sword devil sect behind him as he started to travel towards the fairies sect, the fairies sect stood at a bigger distance as it was the most remote sect in the distance, it stood in a distant clearing in the forest almost at the end of it, while the corpse refining sect stood in the middle and the sword devil sect stood outside.
Yun Jhin started to run towards the fairies sect without any rest as he had to get his hands on the artifact that would help to nd his soul faster, he would be able to increase his cultivation speed with the artifact, atleast in the heavenly realm. As he controlled the fairies sect master he had all of his mories so he already had a ntal map with the location of the sect.
It took him almost 4 hours to get to the sect location and he there he t with a bunch of frightened females, most of them didn't know why their sect master would co back alone and he imdiately put them to gather materials, most of the ti their sect master took great care of them.
Yun Jhin shook his head as he looked at the clueless females and he sent a ntal command to Nao Mao to imdiately explain what happened. Nao Mao ca out of the main building of the sect which was a white temple and sent out an announcent to everyone:
"The leadership of the sect has changed hands, I am now serving leader Sun Sisheng of the corpse refining sect, he has co to visit co and kneel to him!"
Yun Jhin jumped directly near the temple building and Nao Mao went to his knees directly as he put his forehead to the ground, the females of the sect were wide-eyed as they saw their sect master kneeling to soone.
Most of the females were rather sheltered and they only ca to learn cultivation for beautifying reasons, the sect master accepted them and thus a sect was created, as ti passed the sect master finally found soone who could take his mantle, it was the warrior woman that was killed at the Corpse refining sect.
The sect was pretty much useless now as its only combatant was Nao Mao, the won were only good for gathering jobs as they didn't have much combat ability, it was because they didn't like fighting they just didn't want to cultivate for fighting reasons, they ca here because they wanted to lead a longer life and look younger for more ti.
Yun Jhin shook his head as he looked at the won eyeing him, so of them were ready to try and seduce him but he sent a command to Nao Mao, the feminized man got from his kneeling position and said:
"Go and find the herbs and materials I have sent you to find, master Sisheng needs them, don't loiter around here!"
Yun Jhin nodded and then left Nao Mao as he directly went to the sect treasury and looked around, even though it wasn't poor it wasn't as rich as the sword devil sect's, he quickly found what he ca for, it was a blue marble that looked like it had liquid inside of it.
One of the disciples found it when she went for a walk, she thought it looked cute so she took it, when the sect master found about it he thought that it was special but he didn't know what uses the marble had so he left it in the treasury, but Yun Jhin knew.
It was a low ranked natural treasure that could help the heavenly realm practitioners refine their soul faster, it was useless after the heavenly realm and it was of low rank so the increase of speed wasn't anything phenonal but even a mosquito was still at, no matter how tiny the increase was it was still an increase in speed.
He found another useful plant that he took from the treasury, it was an ice lotus. After he got what he wanted he left the fairies sect behind and went back to the corpse refining sect where he started to use the materials he gathered. (...)
First I must concoct the pill and use it at the sa ti with the soul marble to increase the speed of cultivation, to reach stage 2 the pill is useful, afterward if they find the plants that I need I could concoct more pills that would get through the heavenly realm but up till then I will have to cultivate by myself with this marble. I sighed as I looked down at the marble, I was currently in the Corpse refining sect treasury as I used a cauldron to concoct the soul rising pill, it was a one ti use pill to rise the cultivation level by 1 level, but for , the 1 stage rise was sothing that couldn't be compared to others.
I finished concocting the pill after a few hours of toiling under the heat of the cauldron. (...)
The pill was a deep red color as Yun Jhin's main body ca out of the patriarch's ear and ate the pill a change directly happened to his caterpillar body as flas started to engulf it, impurities seeped through his skin as his cultivation started to slowly inch towards the second stage of the heavenly realm. After his skin burned off and a new layer of skin appeared he directly went back to the patriarch's cranium where he entered a session of cultivation that lasted almost 2 weeks.
After 2 weeks of cultivating, he finally entered the second stage of the heavenly realm. Yun Jhin sighed as the host body couldn't eat the pill so he didn't gain anything from this session since it was a one ti pill if he had more materials he could concoct another one for the body. He looked at the remaining plants, the ice lotus, and the blood devil rose.
He needed 5 more components to start on the corpse transforming pill all of yin nature, he already gave out the order for them to be found but they were considered pretty rare around these parts, unless he got lucky he would have to leave the sect behind and go on a journey himself to find the rest, as long as his cultivation advanced to a certain range he would surely leave the sect behind, there was no reason to keep himself tied to this sect, there were no benefits as the place was too trashy.
Even though the concentration of ki in the air wasn't bad he was lacking too many resources to further his cultivation. He also needed certain body constitutions and or materials so he could evolve his main body those were extrely rare even where his past life ca from, he would surely not find them here. Yun Jhin shook his head, there was not much for him to do so he entered a normal long closed-door cultivation session.
Months passed by in cultivation as he breathed in and out the ki of the world, with the help of the marble, the rate at which he nded his main's body soul increased every day, by the ti he reached the peak stage of the heavenly realm he might be even able to use 1% of his forr soul power.
However the progress towards the 3rd level of the heavenly realm was too slow, the caterpillar's potential wasn't high enough to his liking but the others didn't find the materials he needed to upgrade his main body, he was left out with only waiting.
Suddenly outside the sect, a big commotion started.
A young girl looking to be around 16 to 17 years old was killing disciples left and right, her eyes were red with malevolence as a blood-red color aura enveloped her body as she shouted:
"Where is the man you kidnapped, where is Chu Mang? WHERE IS MY FATHER!"
She shouted as he threw a giant fireball onto one of the tattered buildings at the outer area and thoroughly burned it down, she started rampaging inside the sect as if it was her backyard, the blood-red aura intensifying with every kill.
Startled out of his cultivation by Miedo, Yun Jhin could only go outside and see what happened, when he heard the girl's cries of Chu Mang, he realized that the young woman was the daughter he saw on the man's pendant, Chu Mang was talented and it seed his daughter inherited so of the man's talent. Yun Jhin's eyes narrowed as he observed the blood-red fla-like aura enveloping the young girl and a smile appeared on his lips as he muttered:
"So he didn't die but got assimilated instead, strange very strange, did the resources from the sword devil sect didn't heal him properly?"
Getting assimilated was the sa dying for a devil, however when getting assimilated there was a chance for the host to be enthralled and enslaved by the devil's will and lose their mind to the devil's control.
Yun Jhin shook his head as he approached the young lady, the aura she exuded looked like sothing a Ki Cultivating realm would have but on that was only on the surface, it was the waning power of the devil that she sohow assimilated when the young girl saw Yun Jhin she almost attacked him instinctively but Yun Jhin's words struck her out of her stupor:
"I know where Chu Mang is, he is one of our dear elders, as he already advanced at the 9th stage of the earthly realm, this young lady does want to go et him?"
The aura on the young girl started to subside as she heard those words, but suddenly she seemingly heard sothing that made her blood turn cold as her eyes glared at Yun Jhin:
"YOU ARE A LIAR, YOU KILLED MY FATHER!"
Yun Jhin frowned as he used his soul to observe what happened in the young girl's consciousness and like he guessed a devil was sitting cross-legged inside her psyche, he was whispering words trying to influence her thoughts as he healed the nasty sword scar that almost bisected him.
Yun Jhin's soul was stealthily investigating while the devil was healing himself and trying to influence the girl at the sa ti so he didn't get found out. Yun Jhin frowned, it seed the devil found out he was lying using his clan's techniques, it was a racial thing as all devils knew when soone lied to them, it was quite a bullshit ability that could only be countered if the one who lied to the devil had a higher cultivation than the devil.
The young girl was ready to attack Yun Jhin but a thunderous snort directly attacked her consciousness space as it made the devil act and block the attack, his wound was ready to open as he had to block the soul attack and Yun Jhin said with a righteous air around him:
"Your body hosts a devil coming from hell, you are a sinner and you should be exterminated, but I can help you expunge the devil out of your body and forgive you for killing so of my disciples, Chu Mang, your father betrayed the sect and almost assassinated trying to steal our newly created corpse king, it's not my fault I had to fight back to save myself, it was all done in self-defense."
The young girl frowned as she looked at Yun Jhin, the devil was silent and that ant he was telling the truth, technically it was the truth as Yun Jhin was speaking using the body of Sun Sisheng.
The girl, however, didn't react as reasonable as she should as rage smoldered deeply in her soul finding that her father was dead only added fuel to the fire as she suddenly appeared near Yun Jhin and thrust her arm like a spear directly to his heart.
Yun Jhin dodged at the last nick of ti as he looked at the girl and said:
"Don't say that I didn't give you a way out girl, as you are possessed by the devil it won't be much ti before your body gives out, from what I see you are only a second stage earthly realm, abusing the power that the devil gave you, the devil will either absorb your consciousness and take over your body or cripple you!"
However the girl wasn't listening to any of that as her mind was now fully controlled by the devil's whispers, she was trying to kill Yun Jhin before her body gave out, the devil inside her wanted to use her body to jump into Yun Jhin's and take over it!
That was what Yun Jhin was betting on...
