The heavenly realm consisted on taking wind ki to purify your soul, the thing was Yun Jhin's soul was already way stronger than what the heavenly realm could purify for him, what he needed was to nd his soul but he couldn't skip this stage, Yun Jhin started his breakthrough as the body of the patriarch sat cross-legged on the ground in the treasury. His eyes were closed as inside his head the main body was doing it's breathing exercises, then he created a cocoon over himself as he started his breakthrough.
A light started to appear around the patriarch's head just like a halo engulfing his head, however, the halo didn't co from the patriarch's body but Yun Jhin's, he was breaking through the heavenly realm and the energy released from his body made it look like the patriarch was emanating it.
As Yun Jhin used all of the energies he gathered for his breakthrough the aura around the patriarch's head intensified in color and light, suddenly the light faded only for quietness to take over the whole treasure hall.
Yun Jhin's body entered hibernation again as he started to nd his soul while his body devoured all of the nutrients, as he kept nding his soul mories of his past lives resurfaced in front of him but he chose to ignore them, he didn't need the remainders of his forr failures, he already knew what he needed to do to achieve eternal life, he had the information, he had the tools, he just needed ti.
But sotis ti wasn't on your side, after a few weeks that spanned into two months of closed-door training he finally nded a bit of his soul, his main body absorbed all of the nutrients from the pills spirit stones and bodies while he broke through directly to the 1st stage of the heavenly realm!
He woke up suddenly as his soul's willpower engulfed the whole inner palace, he saw that the elders were panicky as well as his 'son', it seed sothing happened while he was nding his soul, the corpse king kept them from approaching the treasury so they were all panicked and didn't know what to do.
The patriarch's body broke through to stage 3 while his main body broke through to the first stage, in the end, the body only had the battle power of a 3rd stage expert but it couldn't do any soul attacks, the soul attacks would co from Yun Jhin! (...)
As I finalized my breakthrough I took another look around the sect with my soul willpower and decided to leave closed-door cultivation, I needed to play the part of the patriarch until I reached a high enough cultivation base that I could fully suppress the whole nearby sects, after that it won't matter who they thought I was, but for now, I would need to play a ga to keep their guard down and strike when they were at their weakest!
I exited the treasury and gave the corpse king new orders as he followed back to the inner palace where I t with the elders and my 'son', there my 'son' went to his knees as he gave a report of what happened while I was in closed-door cultivation:
"Patriarch, as I you commanded we showed our weakness, but the sword devil sect and the fairies sect took over it too fast, it feels like we have a mole around us, it should be one of the elders, please patriarch we need you to investigate, the devil sword sect patriarch and the fairies sect patriarch said that they would co and visit one day from now."
I nodded my head and looked around at the elders, noticing a mole will be extrely easy with my now more nded soul power. (...)
Yun Jhin sent out his soul willpower out of his body as it engulfed the whole palace, suddenly so of the elders started to sweat intensely seemingly like they were carrying huge boulders on their backs and they were ready to collapse, Yun Jhin sent his soul will inside their sea of consciousness and ripped their soul apart as he infected them with his new skill gained from becoming soul-transforming caterpillar, he started to manually control them and made them all confess, they were three elders which started kowtowing in fear as they shouted with tears in their eyes:
"We were threatened patriarch, we didn't an to leak the news."
These were the elders who weren't present that day, they didn't know about the corpse king, they were of the lower caliber as they were all only at the 6th stage of the earthly realm, Yun Jhin shook his head as he looked at the trio and made a cutting gesture which ant that they should be decapitated.
The corpse king appeared in front of the trio and like a guillotine, his katana decapitated the trio.
All of the elders sucked in a mouthful of air as they looked at their patriarch in unison, they knew the patriarch was brutal but this was the first ti they found traitors in their sect!
Yun Jhin smiled as he looked around and said:
"Now that I took care of these traitors we have to welco our guests properly tomorrow, you know they will be pretty surprised when I will welco them with the corpse king in tow."
Miedo cupped his fists at his father's body as he said:
"Patriarch, I should be there with you when you will welco the other patriarchs, they will co with their sect masters as well and we have to respond in kind."
Yun Jhin nodded his head at Miedo and then said with finality in his tone:
"Prepare for the patriarch's visit tomorrow, and you should know what I an by 'preparing' tomorrow we go to war!"
Yun Jhin narrowed his eyes inside as he thought about the treasuries of the other sects, even though the corpse refining sect was poor that should be because they used all of their resources on creating the corpse king, would the other sects be as poor? Hopefully not, he disliked taking control of other's bodies, it stalled his growth and cultivation, but no matter how backwater and primitive the region was to him he knew that he should play it safe until he gained atleast the cultivation of 5th stage.
At the 5th stage, he felt like his soul be nded enough that he would be able to defeat a peak heavenly realm practitioner. He didn't feel like there would be any Ki Cultivating realm experts around this backwater place, as they would call even heavenly realm weaklings as 'patriarchs' a person could be only considered to be a true patriarch at the King Realm or above.
Unfortunately for Yun Jhin his current caterpillar body was restraining his potential, breaking through higher levels of the heavenly realm would be harder and harder, even the second level was quite far away from him, he decided that as long as he got his hands on the nearby sects he would devour the patriarch to achieve his Yin constitution, he might even be able to transform into a zombie caterpillar which could get to rank 80, as a zombie caterpillar he wouldn't have problems at achieving the Ki Cultivating realm. As for the future, he would see then.
Yun Jhin sighed as he waited slowly, his corpse king waiting for his orders at his side, one day imdiately went by as the patriarch of the sword devil sect and the fairies sect arrived.
The sword devil sect patriarch was a tall young man that looked to be around 2,30 tres tall, his waist was as big as a bear and his biceps were the sa, he had a steely beard on his face, and his head was shaved, he wore short robes that made his muscle contours be easily recognized, he looked like a savage man that didn't know anything about culture, his thighs were as wide as two adult n put together and green veins could be seen pulsating across his body.
The patriarch of the fairies sect was an effeminate man with a powdered face and a short stature, he wore an ocean blue yukata that didn't hide his female figure, however, no matter how femininely he made himself to look he couldn't hide his Adam's apple and no matter how much he tried to change his voice it was still too deep to be a female one.
They ca in tow with their peak earthly realm sect masters, one was a tall woman with sword-like brows who gave out a heroic feeling, she wore a short battle dress that did nothing to hide her figure while it wasn't that enchanting for the males of the Corpse Refining sect which dealt with dead bodies every day it was still very attractive.
The other sect master was an middle-aged man with white sideburns and dark hair, he had a sword at his hip and he wore dark battle armor with strange engravings on the back and front, he also wore sandals on his feet and had a stalk of a plant in his mouth that he used to clean his teeth.
They all went directly to the inner palace ignoring all of the looks the disciples of the sect gave them. There they t with Yun Jhin who greeted them along with the corpse king.
The greeting was a drawn-out sword from the corpse king and a sharp fan in each of Yun Jhin's hands as he said:
"You thought that leaving so spies in my sect would give you an advantage? That was what I was waiting for!"
The patriarch's glared at Yun Jhin as they were ready to unsheathe their weapons when Miedo appeared out of the shadows and stabbed the heroic woman in the back with a kunai!
Yun Jhin chuckled as he said:
"Good job Miedo."
Then he threw himself directly to attack the other patriarchs, he attacked the sword devil patriarch while the corpse went to take care of the fairies sect patriarch.
A fight for the control of the nearby sects started! The sword devil patriarch glared intensely at Yun Jhin while he kept him back as the sect master unsheathed his sword and directly attacked Miedo.
Yun Jhin chuckled as he looked at the sword devil patriarch and said:
"This is what you get for trying to attack with the wrong information, now die!"
Yun Jhin and the sword devil patriarch clashed directly with their bodies as their soul willpowers started to fight in mid-air.
