Maximus chuckled, watching her struggle for her words. Then, in a rare mont of hesitation, she looked down, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her sweater.
"...Would it be bad?" she asked softly.
Maximus’s smirk faded slightly. "Would what be bad?"
She took a deep breath, finally eting his gaze. "If I like you, and wanted you to do things to ."
For the first ti that day, Maximus was completely and utterly caught off guard.
He stared at her for a long mont, the weight of her words settling between them.
Lily wasn’t the type to say sothing like this lightly, it took her courage to admit it.
And sohow, that made it feel... real.
Slowly, he reached out, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. She tensed at the touch of his finger but dared not to pull away.
"I wouldn’t mind," he murmured.
Then, it happened.
The kiss was slow, unhurried, almost celestial.
A soft brush of lips at first, testing, waiting.
But when Lily didn’t pull away, when she leaned in instead, Maximus deepened it slightly, one hand resting at the nape of her neck.
Her fingers clutched his sleeves, holding onto him like she was afraid of the mont slipping away.
When the finally broke apart, she was breathless, eyes still closed for a second before opening slowly. She looked completely dazed.
Maximus smirked. "That bad?"
Lily let out a small laugh, covering her face. "I...I really enjoyed that."
He leaned back, arms resting against the back of the seat. "As you should, I’m one hell of a kisser... I enjoyed it too."
She peeked at him through her fingers. "Does this an..."
Maximus tilted his head towards her, "What do you think it ans?"
Lily pouted. "Stop making say everything."
"Fine, it ans I like you too." Maximus said with a confident smirk.
Her eyes widened slightly before a soft smile ford. "Oh"
Lily let out a deep breath as the ferris wheel began descending back down to the ground.
"That wasn’t quite what I was going for, but I guess it’s a good enough start..."
Maximus leaned in again, "Good, because I am not done surprising you yet."
Lily’s face turned red all over again.
The ferris wheel ca to a stop, they stepped out together, the cool night air wrapping around them like a warm blanket.
Maximus led her towards his power bike, a sleek black beast of a motorcycle on two wheels, parked under the street lamp.
The chro glead under the city lights, and the low rumble of distant traffic made the mont feel surreal.
Lily stopped just a step behind him as he swung his leg over the bike, settling onto the seat with an ease that spoke of familiarity.
He gave the handlebars a light rev, the deep purr of the engine sending soft vibrations through the air. She gulped hard.
"You’re not scared, are you?" Maximus teased, glancing at her over his shoulder with a smirk.
"Of course not!"
"Then hurry up and get on." he patted the seat behind him. "Unless you’d rather walk ho?:"
Lily narrowed her eyes at his teasing tone, but the warmth in his voice made her stomach flutter.
When she settled in, she barely had ti to process before the bike gave a powerful rumble, and she instinctively wrapped her arms around his waist.
"Good girl." Maximus chuckled as the bike surged forward.
The city stretched out before them, alive and glowing with neon signs and flickering billboards.
The streets were still bustling despite the late hour, people walking in groups, couples strolling arm in arm, laughter and music spilling out from open cafe doors.
From the back of the bike, Lily saw the city in a new light.
Everything was dazzling, the way the buildings towered like giants adorned with flashing lights, the distant honks and hums of the city blending into one srizing lody.
The wind rushed past them, cool and crisp against her skin, and for a mont, she felt utterly weightless, as if they were flying.
After a while, Maximus slowed the bike as they neared his place.
The towering mansion stood at the edge of a quiet street, its modern design and sleek exterior standing int contrast to the chaotic energy of the city they had just left behind.
"This the place you were telling about..." Lily blinked.
Maximus smirked. "Surprised?"
She let out a small laugh. "A little..."
Maximus parked and turned off the engine. As the vibrations died down, Lily reluctantly loosened her grip on him, her arms slipping away the warmth that had been between them vanished, replaced by the cool night air.
Maximus led her toward the entrance, the automatic light flickering on as they approached. The security guards at the gate nodded in greeting, stepping aside as the made their way inside.
Lily looked in awe, she had seen glimpses of mansions before, but actually stepping inside one felt so surreal.
It was a sleek and modern, yet there was a personal, individual touch to it.
Maximus stretched lazily. "Make yourself at ho," he said casually, tossing his keys onto the nearby table.
Lily hesitated. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah, you’re my guest," maximus replied almost instantly. "Im not gonna throw you out... I think the both us can agree that this house to big enough to fit the both of us for the night."
She bit her lip, then nodded. "Okay... just for a little while."
Maximus smirked, plopping onto the couch and patting the seat beside him. "Co on then, I don’t bite..."
Lily hesitated for only a second before joining him, the warmth of his presence imdiately making her feel at ease.
The night had been perfect. From the the park to the ride ho, to now, sitting here with him, sharing this quiet mont.
Her breath hitched and stuck right under her esophagus when Maximus hit her with a question that boggled her mind up side down.
"Do you wanna watch movies or want to to do ’things’ to you?" Maximus asked while holding forward a remote control.
