The next morning, Maximus woke up to the soft glow of sunlight streaming through the floor to ceiling windows of his bedroom.
After a quick shower, he dressed casually in a crips black shirt and jeans. It was a simple look, but the quality of the clothes were more than the common man could afford.
Grabbing his keys and sleek, futuristic helt, he headed out to his power bike packed in the garage.
The engine roared to life as he mounted it, the vibrations beneath him a satisfying reminder of the power it held.
Maximus pulled up to the clubs entrance on his motorcycle, the engines deep rumble echoing in the quiet midday atmosphere.
The elegant valet personal stepped forward with a polite nod, his hands outstretched.
Maximus handed over the keys and swung his leg off the bike, taking a mont to glance at the buildings sleek exterior.
Even in the daylight, the club exuded the sa aura as of the previous night but was dialed down several volus.
Stepping inside, a hostess greeted him at the door. "Welco back Mr. Pri. Mr. Zimrman is expecting you. Please walk with ..."
Maximus nodded, his boots clicking softly against the polished floors as he followed her to the bar.
Zack was already there, leaning casually against the counter with a drink in hand. His hair caught the light as he turned to greet maximus.
"There he is!" he yelled with a huge grin, setting his glass of scotch down and extending a hand. "glad you could make it."
Maximus clasped Zack’s hand in a firm, manly shake. "Figured I’d see what this was about. You seed pretty persuasive on the call last night..."
Zack chuckled, motioning to the bartender. "Whatchu wanna have? First round is on ."
"Just a soda, I don’t drink alcohol." Maximus replied, sliding onto a seat beside Zack.
The bartender nodded and quickly set a glass of soda in front of him. Zack raised an eyebrow but didn’t make any comnt, instead turning back to the drink in his hand.
"So..." Zack started, leaning against the counter, "I wanted to appreciate you for coming. It’s not often I get to see people from college. We sort of went our separate ways after graduation and we barely see or even notice eachother again..."
Maximus nodded in agreent, taking a short sip of his drink. "Yeah that’s true, you know if it wasn’t for the fact that Danny told about you, if I had seen you on the road I probably would have walked right past you without saying shit..."
"Tell about it," Zack laughed.
"But I’ve been doing alright. As you saw last night, the premier was a success and many more nights like that to co... you would be surprised with how much I made per hour last night, I promise you wouldn’t believe..."
Maximus smirked faintly and twiched his eyebrow awkwardly, "Well, I don’t think you should tell that... an investor or business man never reveals how much he truly makes..."
"Yeah that’s true..." Zack looked down at his drink, staring it gently and watching the ice cube swirl in the whirlpool he had made with his movents. "I didn’t catch you last night though, what is it that you do now? Cause looking at you, you seem ’well to do’"
Maximus bit his lip, wincing at the fizzyness of his soda drink. "Still a drear..."
Zack scoffed loudly, readjusting himself in his seat. "You see that’s what intrigues about you Maximus, that power bike you ca is worth not less than 800,000 quid, that leads to believe... you are not just so ’drear’ you’re a ’doer’"
Maximus shrugged his shoulders and looked at Zack with an upside down smile plastered on his face, "Whatever you say..."
"Huh! Cryptic! I like it." Zack shuffled his hair vigorously. "Which is why I think you would make an even better candidate for this proposal"
Maximus serious face replaced his upside down smile instantly, leaning forward, arching his eyebrow and placing his glass on the table in front of him.
"Lets hear it..."
Zack took one final sip from his drink, setting the glass down as well before speaking.
"I’ve been toying with an idea for a bit now. The club is great and all, but its just one piece of what I want to really ignite..."
"Okay... so?"
"What do you think of a resort?"
