Chapter 87 - I’m going to adopt a child
Next day in the evening Young-soo went to Seoul to discuss about the child adoption matter to his parents in person.
Once his father ca back from his work, three of them sat together on the sofa of the living room. Young-soo started the conversation, "dad, mom, now I’m going to discuss so important matter with you guys." He said and sat between them and held their hands, "do you guys believe that there will be so valid reasons for my every decision?"
They looked at him and nodded their head.
"I always dread to have a happy family with my wife and kids, unfortunately my married life didn’t go well, and I don’t have any plan of getting married again. Therefore I have planned to adopt a child as a single parent.
Adopting a child is a good matter even his parent was not against it, but they are shocked to hear that from him. "Look Young-soo we are not against with your decision, even we are not going to stop you, however we want you to get remarried first, and then adopt a child with your spouse." His mother said.
Mr. Lee cleared his throat, "Yeboo, stop forcing him to get re-marry. He is an a.d.u.l.t now, he knows very well about what is right and wrong, and I believe in him. If he would have thought he would have adopted a child without discussing with us, but he didn’t do anything like that, so let us try to understand him. He has a great respect and love on us, that’s why he’s asking our permission from us." Mr. Lee looked at his son, and said, "We agree for your child adoption, raise the child well, and lead a happy life with the child. But don’t forget that raising a child being a single parent is not an easy job, so prepare your mind to face all the challenges ahead in your life."
Young-soo was so happy because he didn’t expect such advises from his father. He hugged his father by sitting down on the sofa. "Thank you so much dad for understanding and also supporting in my needs. You are the best dad, I love you so much." He said and broke the hug with his father and hugged his mother, "mom, please don’t worry about , I’ll be a good father, and my son is so lucky to get you guys as his grandparents."
As she heard such words of Young-soo she smiled and hit his arms playfully. "I love you, Young-soo, go adopt that child, but I have a condition. After adopting the child, you should bring him to our Seoul residence, because I don’t want my grandchild to be grow without the love of the grandparents. Will you agree to my condition?" Mrs. Lee asked.
Happy tears threatened in his eyes, he hugged her mother once again, and said, "Sure mom and I love you guys so much. Before I start to talk about this matter to you guys I was so scared to discuss this matter to you whether you guys will agree with my decision or not. But thank god everything has gone well without much argunt."
"Do you have any of my grandson pictures?" Mrs. Lee asked.
"Sorry mom, I don’t have any but he was so cute and he loves to be in my warmth."
"What is his na?" Mr. Lee asked.
"His na is Juno, dad."
"Nice na," his parents comnted in an unison.
’Even before he becos my legal son he has changed my parents’ way of thinking,’ Young-soo thought in his mind.
