Bzzzt. Bzzzt.
Fly's phone suddenly vibrated. He picked it up and saw it was a call from Mr. Carter. He glanced at the screen, then looked up at Muse.
"Go ahead and answer it," Muse said, pausing their conversation to let Fly handle the imdiate matter.
The mont Fly pressed the answer button, Mr. Carter's booming voice blasted through the receiver. "Fly, where are you? What's the deal with that contract you sent ?"
"Is there a problem with it?" Fly replied, shooting another glance at Muse.
Even though he was sitting in Muse's villa, Fly didn't feel the slightest bit guilty when it ca to practical matters like this.
"Ah? No, no," Mr. Carter quickly denied. "It's just... seeing a contract offered by Grandmaster Muse was a bit of a shock."
"Fly, don't tell you were actually chosen by Grandmaster Muse to be his disciple?"
"Yeah," Fly gave a simple confirmation before briefly explaining his current situation. "I'm at Grandmaster Muse's house right now. He wants to sign an Apprenticeship Contract."
"I don't really understand the legal jargon, so I wanted to ask you if there are any hidden traps in the contract."
"You little brat, are you seriously complaining while getting the deal of a lifeti? Do you have any idea how many people would kill for this opportunity? Traps? The only trap is the one in your head! Also, keep your voice down, don't let Grandmaster Muse hear you..." Mr. Carter couldn't help but add a well-aning warning.
After all, Fly was in soone else's house. If Grandmaster Muse heard those words, took offense, and decided not to take him as a disciple, wouldn't that be a massive loss?
But, what Mr. Carter never expected in his wildest dreams was...
"It's fine, Mr. Carter. Grandmaster Muse is right next to . He can hear you. Actually, he's the one who told to find soone to verify the contract," Fly said casually, as if this was the most normal thing in the world.
Mr. Carter: "???"
On the other end of the line, Mr. Carter practically turned to stone.
Wait, what the hell is going on?
Fly is taking my call right in front of Grandmaster Muse?
And he has the guts to openly question if Grandmaster Muse's contract has traps in it right to his face?
Has Fly always been this gutsy?
Well... actually, yeah, he has always been this gutsy...
Mr. Carter sucked in a sharp breath. Thinking about it carefully, this was exactly in line with Fly's personality. The kid was solely focused on his Martial Studies cultivation and making money. Especially when it ca to making money, he had an almost religious obsession...
But regardless, knowing that Grandmaster Muse could hear him, Mr. Carter couldn't quite suppress his inner excitent.
"Fly, this is a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity! Grandmaster Muse is a Grandmaster Realm Beast Warrior officially certified by The Martial Association!"
"A title second only to a Supre Grandmaster."
Only at this mont did Fly finally understand.
The "Grandmaster" in Grandmaster Muse's na wasn't just a polite honorific given by others.

It was an official certification from The Martial Association.
And above the Grandmaster Realm, there was the Supre Grandmaster.
"Is he really that incredible?" Fly turned to look at Muse sitting in his wheelchair, feeling genuinely sowhat surprised.
"Of course he is! Right now, looking at all of Star City, if we're strictly talking about Martial Studies, no one can even hold a candle to Grandmaster Muse."
"Fly, you've stumbled upon a trendous stroke of luck. You absolutely must seize this chance."
To say he wasn't envious of Fly would naturally be a lie.
Right now, Mr. Carter wished he could march right up to Grandmaster Muse's front door and accompany Fly in signing the Apprenticeship Contract in person.
Setting aside how much help one could get in their Martial Studies cultivation, just the title of being Grandmaster Muse's personal disciple would be enough bragging rights for a lifeti back at the school.
But Mr. Carter could only dream about such things.
He knew full well that with his level of talent, Grandmaster Muse wouldn't give him a second glance.
Not long after ending the call with Mr. Carter, Fly's phone buzzed again.
It was a call from Dean Sterling.
Fly quickly pressed the answer button.
"You passed Grandmaster Muse's trial?" Dean Sterling was equally unable to contain his excitent.
Although he had known for a while that Fly's talent was extraordinary and that he would eventually break out of Star City to achieve great things, he never dread Fly would earn recognition from a Grandmaster Realm Beast Warrior this quickly.
"Yes, Vic. Have you finished looking over the contract file I just sent you?" Fly asked softly.
Although Mr. Carter had already said it was fine, getting a second opinion from Dean Sterling as double insurance felt much safer.
"Ah, right..." Dean Sterling only just snapped back to reality.
"I've gone over the clauses in the contract very carefully. There are basically no problems. They are all very standard requirents. Even if you were applying for a job at a corporate firm right now, you'd sign a similar contract."
"But, there are two things..."
Hearing this, Fly furrowed his brows slightly.
Are there actually hidden traps?
"First, this appears to be a probationary contract. The probationary period is three months. If you fail to et Grandmaster Muse's requirents during this tifra, he has the right to unilaterally terminate the contract."
"So, Fly, don't think you can just kick back and relax the mont you sign the contract."
"For the next three months, you need to train diligently. Work hard and do your absolute best to et Grandmaster Muse's expectations."
"You have to understand, your parents are just ordinary working-class citizens. They can't provide you with much support in your Martial Studies cultivation."
"And as for , I am the grade's Dean after all. I can't be too blatantly biased when it cos to resource allocation and talent nurturing, lest I give people with ulterior motives an excuse to gossip."
"Therefore, on Grandmaster Muse's end..."
Fly: "???"
Dean Sterling's lecture left Fly with a face full of question marks.
Good lord, I thought Vic was worried about getting scamd. Turns out he's terrified that I won't et Grandmaster Muse's standards and get dumped?
Whose side are you even on?
Fly could even faintly sense a sly, knowing smile creeping onto Grandmaster Muse's face nearby.
"And the second thing?" Fly continued asking.
"Oh, the second thing. Could you get Grandmaster Muse's autograph? I'm a huge fan of his. I've admired him ever since I was a kid..."
Click!
Fly ruthlessly hung up the phone.
Setting everything else aside, he felt that Dean Sterling was no longer on his team.
That second point had absolutely nothing to do with the contract itself!
Asking for an autograph? What the hell?
"Hehehe..." Listening to Fly's two phone calls from the sidelines, Muse couldn't even keep the corners of his mouth from curling up.
"Laugh if you want," Fly said, slightly exasperated, imdiately picking up the contract again.
He flipped through the pages one by one until he finally found the page detailing the probationary clause.
It really was a probationary contract.
A three-month probationary period.
If Party B fails to et Party A's performance requirents during this period, Party A may unilaterally terminate this Apprenticeship Contract.
"Your teachers are quite interesting characters."
"The autograph is no problem. They can have as many as they want. However, Fly..."
"Do you dare to sign this contract?"
The teasing look on Muse's face vanished abruptly, his expression shifting into complete seriousness.
"The disciple I'm looking for isn't just any random nobody."
"The person I want to mold is a true Beast Warrior."
"A super powerhouse capable of truly standing at the apex of the world."
"This contract is an opportunity, but it is also a challenge."
"If you fail to et my requirents, then we won't even need three months before we part ways."
"If that truly happens, it will just prove that you... are not the person I am looking for."
Muse's gaze was incredibly deep as he closely scrutinized Fly's eyes.
Fly looked down at the contract, not expecting things to develop to this point.
But...
Fly had never been one to cower or back down.
"So..."
Fly took a deep breath and asked slowly.
"What's the challenge?"
