Chapter 139: Soone ancient has awakened

Two days later, the environnt of the blazing realm had not changed, yet Alex himself had undergone a quiet but fundantal shift.

He had spent every mont of those two days refining the frawork of his body strengthening technique. The initial structure had already been ford, but refinent required relentless iteration. He had tested the limits of internal stress generation, adjusted the feedback chanisms, and corrected several instabilities that could have resulted in irreversible cellular collapse. Unlike his earlier attempt at enhancing genetic potential, which had relied on rough amplification and broad stimulation, this technique demanded precision at a level that bordered on absolute control.

He understood the difference clearly.

The previous thod had been crude. It had forcefully elevated potential, but it lacked structural harmony. It had been effective in the short term, but it could not serve as a true foundation for combat.

What he was constructing now was entirely different.

This was not about potential. It was about imdiate, tangible strength. It was about building a body that could stand independently of energy and remain stable under extre conditions.

Alex stood still, his eyes closed, as he reviewed the final adjustnts one last ti.

Within his body, a faint and controlled pressure began to circulate. It was subtle, almost imperceptible, yet every cell responded to it. The pressure did not damage. It stimulated. It pushed each component of his body toward adaptation, but it remained within a threshold that he could sustain.

"This is still incomplete," he said quietly.

"However, it is functional."

Rafael did not respond imdiately. After a brief pause, it replied.

"The current version achieves approximately thirty seven percent of the efficiency observed during your original adaptation phase."

"That is acceptable for the first layer," Alex said.

He opened his eyes.

At that exact mont, a familiar presence appeared beside him.

"Your rest ti is over," Igris said calmly. "Now be prepared for the second phase. It will last six months."

Alex turned his head slightly and nodded.

"Okay."

Igris raised his hand and made a simple motion.

The world shifted.

The ground beneath Alex trembled, and the surrounding terrain began to distort. Massive cracks spread across the surface, and from within those fractures, colossal structures began to rise.

Mountains.

Thirty six of them.

Each one towered high into the sky, their surfaces jagged and uneven. Rivers of molten lava flowed down their sides, illuminating the surroundings with a violent red glow. The heat intensified imdiately, surpassing even the previous conditions Alex had endured.

He observed the scene without speaking.

"There are one hundred monsters in each mountain," Igris said. "You have to kill six hundred monsters from six mountains within one month."

Alex’s gaze shifted slightly, focusing on the nearest peak.

"If you fail to eliminate even the last monster within the given ti," Igris continued, "all of them will respawn. You will have to start over."

Alex remained silent, processing the conditions.

"Additionally," Igris added, "there are special substances within each mountain. They will further polish your body during combat. Whether you can utilize them effectively depends entirely on your understanding."

Alex nodded once.

"I understand."

Igris looked at him for a mont before continuing.

"Rember this clearly. Across the multiverse, there are three thousand recognized physiques."

Alex’s attention sharpened slightly.

"You possess the Primordial Chaos Body," Igris said. "It allows you to comprehend laws at an exceptional level. However, it is not a physique designed for combat."

Alex did not react outwardly, but he understood the implication.

"The second ranked supre physique," Igris continued, "is the Indestructible Immortal Physique. It represents the pinnacle of combat oriented bodies."

The lava around them surged as if responding to the weight of those words.

"I want you to create a physique that is at least equal to that," Igris said, "or surpasses all three thousand physiques entirely."

Alex finally turned his head fully toward him.

"That is a rather ambitious goal, do you not think, Grandmaster?"

Igris smiled faintly.

"It is," he said. "But if we cannot think beyond limits, then there is no point in pursuing immortality."

Alex considered that for a brief mont before nodding.

"I suppose that is reasonable."

Igris let out a short laugh.

"Do not overthink it. Begin your battle today."

Without waiting for further discussion, he disappeared.

The silence returned, broken only by the distant rumbling of lava and the faint echoes of movent from within the mountains.

Alex exhaled slowly.

His gaze settled on the nearest mountain.

"Let us begin."

He stepped forward.

The ground beneath his feet cracked slightly under the force, not because of external energy, but because of the sheer physical density his body now possessed.

As he approached the base of the mountain, a low growl echoed from within.

The first monster appeared.

It was massive, standing over three ters tall, with dark, hardened skin that resembled volcanic rock. Its body radiated heat, and molten lines pulsed beneath its surface like veins.

Alex did not hesitate.

He moved.

The distance between them closed instantly.

The monster swung its arm downward with imnse force, but Alex did not evade. Instead, he raised his hand and t the attack directly.

The collision produced a dull, heavy impact.

The ground beneath them shattered.

Alex’s body absorbed the force.

There was no visible strain.

"This level is manageable," he said calmly.

His fist tightened.

He struck once.

The monster’s chest caved inward under the impact, and its massive body was sent flying backward before collapsing into the molten ground.

The first kill.

On Earth, the situation was calm.

Humanity had stabilized.

The remaining monsters posed no significant threat, and society had begun to rebuild itself with a renewed sense of direction. The presence of those creatures was no longer seen as a disaster, but rather as a resource.

Training.

Growth.

Preparation.

Alex’s earlier decision to leave them in place had already begun to show its impact.

However, beneath the surface of that peaceful world, sothing ancient stirred.

Deep within an isolated mountain range, far beyond the reach of ordinary perception, there existed a hidden structure.

Five thousand kiloters below the surface.

A black coffin rested in absolute silence.

Then, without warning, a pair of eyes opened.

They were ancient.

Cold.

Calculating.

"How long has it been?" the being thought.

Its awareness extended outward, scanning fragnts of information.

"I had sent an incarnation outside. Has it gathered anything useful?"

The eyes closed briefly.

Monts later, they opened again.

"Interesting."

A faint smile appeared on its lips.

"These creatures believe this is a pri planet. How limited their understanding is."

Its thoughts shifted.

"That boy..."

A trace of curiosity surfaced.

"He possesses sothing unusual."

The mountain above began to dissolve silently, as if it had never existed.

The coffin rose.

The lid opened.

Under the pale light of the moon, the figure within revealed itself.

Its appearance was flawless, almost unreal.

It stepped out slowly, its presence distorting the space around it.

With a casual motion, it changed its attire into modern clothing.

"Let

observe this world for a while," it said quietly.

"And perhaps..."

Its gaze turned distant.

"I will find that weapon."

It vanished.

Back in the blazing realm, Alex remained unaware of these developnts.

His focus did not waver.

He had already moved to the second mountain.

The monsters here were stronger.

Faster.

More aggressive.

This ti, they attacked in groups.

Alex stood still as they surrounded him.

"Good," he said.

The internal pressure within his body increased again.

His muscles tightened.

His bones reinforced.

His skin hardened.

The monsters lunged simultaneously.

Alex moved.

He did not retreat.

He stepped into their attacks.

Each impact generated feedback.

Each movent refined his structure further.

The battle intensified.

Ti lost its aning.

Days passed.

His body continued to evolve.

The technique, though incomplete, began to stabilize under continuous stress.

Small adjustnts were made in real ti.

Thresholds were recalibrated.

Efficiency improved.

By the end of the first week, Alex had cleared two mountains and also leveled up to 56.

His body had changed again.

It was no longer simply dense.

It had beco resilient in a way that could not be described by conventional asures.

Every strike he delivered carried more force.

Every attack he received caused less damage.

In the Grand Multiversal Royal Academy, discussions had begun to circulate.

"Have you heard?" one student asked quietly.

"He has taken a disciple."

"The supremacy of the Orion Domain?" another responded in surprise.

"Who could possibly qualify for that?"

"I do not know," the first replied. "But the information suggests that his background is insignificant."

"That does not make sense."

"It does not need to," the first said. "Power rarely follows logic."

The second student frowned slightly.

"Do you think he will participate in the upcoming tournant?"

"There is a possibility."

A brief silence followed.

"I will submit a report," the first said.

The second nodded slowly.

"I need to speak with Adrian," he said. "If this is true, then things are about to beco complicated."

The tension in the academy began to rise.
