A veteran being personally recruited back by the Minister of the Military must have so real skills, and Du Xixi was not soone to underestimate others easily. Even without Ke Lian’s introduction, she wouldn’t have looked down on this person with a cold deanor.

Du Xixi nodded lightly to him and greeted politely, "Hello!"

The person in charge was nad Li Feng. Though he had never t her before, he had always respected Du Xixi, who was renowned within the Military Departnt. Now seeing Du Xixi greet him, he smiled sheepishly, as his personality was genuinely straightforward, in stark contrast to his appearance.

"The Minister ntioned it to , Your Highness is here for Insect Clan at, right? Co with , I’ll take you to see it." Li Feng walked ahead, leading Du Xixi and Ke Lian around several turns to the cafeteria’s storage room. This place stored many ingredients, all ticulously preserved in cold storage units, and inside a gigantic transparent cold storage unit were several huge Insect Clan cadavers.

Du Xixi frowned, thinking it would be pieces of at, but it turned out to be such large, bloody, and hideous Insect Clan cadavers. Although she didn’t mind handling them personally, she was still a bit repulsed at first sight.

This was far more challenging than slaughtering pigs or cattle.

Li Feng, with his back towards Du Xixi, didn’t notice her change in expression, but it was Ke Lian who grasped Du Xixi’s hand and then asked, "You haven’t touched these Insect Clan cadavers at all?"

From Ke Lian’s perspective, these Insect Clan corpses were transported directly from the battlefield and stored here without any processing. The cafeteria staff had scarcely done anything to them.

"We..." hearing Ke Lian’s sowhat questioning tone, Li Feng laughed awkwardly, "We don’t know how to handle them. Initially, we wanted to, but there are toxins all over the Insect Clan, and we don’t know where they’re hidden, so..."

"You all don’t dare, but my Xixi dares?" Ke Lian frowned unpleasantly, causing the atmosphere to freeze imdiately. Li Feng lowered his head, not daring to et his icy gaze.

They also realized that it was sowhat inappropriate to rely on Du Xixi for this, considering that the Insect Clan cadavers contained toxins even they feared. Despite not wanting to handle it themselves, they still expected Du Xixi to take over, which understandably angered Ke Lian.

But... it was only because they were at their wit’s end that they sought her help, with the Minister of the Military personally reaching out to show sincerity.

After a long pause, it was Du Xixi who spoke to ease the tension: "I’m not afraid of Insect Clan toxins. However, I’m unfamiliar with their body structure. Is there a chance you could explain their anatomy to ? It would be helpful when I start working on them."

With the ladder Du Xixi provided, Li Feng naturally took the chance to climb down promptly, chuckling for rcy. He took a stack of docunts out from the Space Button, detailing the anatomy of the Insect Clan — these were data shared interstellarly, and knowing Du Xixi might need them, Li Feng had taken the ti to gather them in advance.

After thanking him, Du Xixi accepted the docunts, but with such a large stack, there was no way she could finish reading them quickly, so she declined and stated she’d co back tomorrow to inspect the Insect Clan cadavers. Li Feng, understanding, respectfully escorted the two of them out of the cafeteria.

After leaving the cafeteria, Du Xixi wanted to head ho first, but Ke Lian thought the matter couldn’t be left as it was and directly took Du Xixi to the office of the Minister of the Military. He knew that although the Minister had been busy these days, there were no etings scheduled, and most of his ti was spent handling affairs in the office.

Sure enough, after receiving permission to enter, Du Xixi and Ke Lian stepped inside to find only the Minister of the Military there.

The Minister was in the middle of reviewing a docunt. He was focused intently on it, but upon seeing that it was Du Xixi and Ke Lian who entered, and noticing Ke Lian’s slightly displeased expression, he knew the "cat was out of the bag."

He silently uttered a few concerns in his heart, but outwardly he still maintained his dignified image as the Minister of the Military, asking very solemnly, "What’s the matter? Did you co together for sothing?"

Ke Lian let out a cold snort; his relationship with the Minister was good, especially after bonding over Du Xixi’s various culinary delights, they had beco close. Now, he wasn’t holding back, walking up directly to slap the table and complain, "What do you an by this! Knowing how dangerous the Insect Clan cadavers are, yet you call my Xixi?!"

Ke Lian hadn’t thought too much before; he only agreed because the Minister suggested it, and Du Xixi was indeed adept at cooking, completely forgetting about the Insect Clan toxins within the bodies.

"I was even wondering to myself why you, having Xixi’s Light Brain Number, required to pass along a ssage. Turns out, it was because you did sothing shaful, and didn’t dare to tell Xixi directly!" A sudden realization hit Ke Lian, and his earlier puzzlent over the Minister not using the Light Computer to contact Du Xixi was resolved.

Why not? Because of a guilty conscience!

Ke Lian talked like a rapid-firing cannon that couldn’t be stopped, ultimately making the Minister laugh. Initially, he was sowhat embarrassed, but with Ke Lian’s unreserved nagging, his embarrassnt was mingled with helplessness.

"I was just at a loss, wasn’t I? Is there anyone in the entire universe whose culinary skills surpass Xixi’s?"
