Ke Xing quietly lowered his head, choosing to continue stirring the minced at that had already been mixed perfectly, no longer looking at the scene that made a single person feel they’re shimring with light.

Fortunately, Du Xixi was still thinking about the lunch for the family of three, not daring to forget the main task due to feeling nervous being close to Ke Lian. Seeing how Ke Xing’s minced at was mixed to perfection, she had him bring it over to teach the father and son how to wrap small wontons.

"Look, use your fingers to hold the wonton wrapper, then use chopsticks to pick a little minced at, placing it around two-thirds of the way," Du Xixi explained earnestly, "Rember to dip your fingertips in so water; if it’s not sticky enough, add a bit more water. Then fold it, pinch it, and it’s done."

There are many ways to wrap small wontons, but generally, it’s just wrapping a tiny bit of minced at. When Du Xixi first learned to make these small wontons, she wasn’t specially taught the wrapping thod.

Luckily, both Ke Xing and Ke Lian are ticulous people; they may not be skilled at cooking, but being taught hand in hand by Du Xixi, they managed to wrap the small wontons.

Though, it might be a bit... unsightly?

Ke Lian and Ke Xing looked at Du Xixi’s almost identical small wontons, then at their own variously ugly small wontons, choosing to slow down and strive to make their imperfections uniform.

Du Xixi naturally noticed that the small wontons wrapped by Ke Lian and Ke Xing were rather eye-watering, but at least they managed to encapsulate the minced at, and it wouldn’t leak when boiled. Du Xixi held her tongue and said nothing more.

Seeing that the small wontons had been scattered across more than half the table, she called in 2569 from outside, instructing him to place so of the small wontons separately onto a large plate and freeze them in the freezer.

Ke Lian and Ke Xing have big appetites, but Du Xixi’s is small. Cooking all the wontons seed wasteful, so she decided to save so for next ti.

complied, Ke Lian and Ke Xing also acknowledged they had wrapped too many, so they reluctantly stopped, helping Du Xixi put the remaining wontons from the table into the pot.

The small wontons cook quickly. Du Xixi took advantage of the steaming mont to bring out three large bowls, placing in them a spoonful of previously refined lard, a spoonful of salt, so soy sauce, and a few pieces of dried seaweed sent by Chen Yin.

Listening to Du Xixi, Ke Lian scooped out the cooked wontons and placed them into the bowls, also adding so of the clean boiled water, making three large bowls of wontons quickly.

In the Star Era, the bowls are insulated, so even when Du Xixi held them, they wouldn’t feel hot, let alone Ke Xing and Ke Lian, who are naturally tough-skinned and thick-fleshed.

Sitting at the table, each of the three had a big bowl of wontons. If you looked closely, you could see that Du Xixi, with the smallest appetite, had fewer wontons in her bowl, while Ke Lian, the biggest eater, had the most.

This was to avoid waste, so Ke Lian paid special attention when scooping the wontons.

"They’re called gauze wontons," Du Xixi smiled, spooning a wonton into the air. The wonton skin, after boiling, had clearly turned semi-transparent, revealing so of the minced at inside.

Du Xixi motioned for Ke Lian and Ke Xing to quickly eat while it’s hot and simultaneously introduced, "Gauze is a kind of light yet substantial fabric, and because the wonton skin resembles gauze after boiling, it was nad this way."

The lard was slightly fishy, yet it clashed with the salty and fresh seaweed, blending into a delicious taste. The minced at mixed with green onion, ginger, and garlic, their blended flavors giving a unique taste.

Ke Xing was already stuffing large mouthfuls of wontons, while Ke Lian enjoyed each one slowly.

He gently placed a slightly cooled wonton into his mouth; as his lips closed, the wonton broke open, its tasty juice spilling out, instantly filling Ke Lian’s mouth, prompting him to chew an extra ti before swallowing.

A hint of regret flashed in Ke Lian’s eyes; he hadn’t fully savored it... But looking at his full bowl of wontons made him happy again.

No worries, he still has a lot!

Seeing Ke Xing and Ke Lian eating happily, Du Xixi smiled and began enjoying her wontons. Although having wontons for lunch seed a bit off, she thought there were no rules about eating what you desire.

The three of them at the table delightedly eating their wontons, with the robot 2569 holding onto a cherished purple Energy Stone, bead a smile on its electronic screen.

The atmosphere was perfect, yet Ke Lian discreetly glanced at 2569 and the purple Energy Stone, a fleeting dark glint in his eyes, but it was swiftly concealed, and he playfully tapped Du Xixi’s head when she looked over.
