But gradually, Du Xixi felt like sothing was off. How did "so delicious," "the at is so tender," turn into "ah... take a bite," "be careful, it’s hot," "don’t choke"?

Du Xixi looked up, her mouth twitching slightly. She saw that at so point, Chen Si and He Yuan, who were originally sitting across from each other, had moved to the sa sofa, sitting very close.

Chen Si picked up a xiaolongbao with his chopsticks, caught it with his hand underneath, and gently fed it to He Yuan, occasionally reminding her not to get burned by the dumpling’s heat.

Du Xixi: ...

"Ahem!"

Feeding dumplings was one thing, but as Du Xixi watched coldly, the dumpling was getting farther from He Yuan’s mouth, while Chen Si’s lips silently inched closer to her.

Interrupting a couple’s loving display might bring divine retribution, but Du Xixi felt that in this setting—with her as the third wheel—it was really not suitable for them to be this lovey-dovey. After coughing lightly a few tis, she softly said to the pair who suddenly beca flustered and blushing, "Get married, then you can kiss freely."

"Xixi..." He Yuan said shyly, moving a bit away from Chen Si and giving Du Xixi a playful look while stealing glances at Chen Si’s reaction.

Getting married... she had actually thought about it, but didn’t know what Chen Si thought. He Yuan tightened her clasped hands, waiting for Chen Si’s answer.

But Chen Si didn’t answer imdiately. He first put the untouched xiaolongbao back into the box with a slightly grim face, then after pondering for a long ti, he answered under the expectant gazes of Du Xixi and He Yuan, "I’m not in a rush to get married."

A loud crash went off in He Yuan’s mind, and her eyes instantly reddened. After all, she thought Chen Si would readily agree to marriage. Hearing a response that felt like stalling elicited a pang in her heart, worrying her about this relationship...

But Chen Si wasn’t finished. He looked at He Yuan seriously and said softly, "Marriage is a major life decision, not to be made lightly. At least before we marry, I want you to et my parents, and I need to visit yours. Once both families approve, the process will naturally be smoother."

Du Xixi looked up amusedly and asked the earnest Chen Si, "So, if your families don’t approve of the marriage, will you still marry He Yuan?"

He Yuan, who had just relaxed a bit, tensed up again. She felt Du Xixi was really toying with her emotions today, but these were exactly the questions she wanted answered. She watched Chen Si carefully, waiting for his reply.

"Of course, I’ll marry!" Chen Si reassured He Yuan, "If both families agree, discussing marriage will go more smoothly, but if they don’t, it’ll just be less smooth. We’d still need to put marriage on the agenda."

Du Xixi and He Yuan both felt relieved. Du Xixi, wrapped in a blanket, seeing He Yuan shyly snuggle into Chen Si’s embrace, with him gently holding her, laughed and said, "Then let congratulate you in advance on a long and happy marriage. When the ti cos, I’ll have to prepare a big gift for you."

Du Xixi really didn’t have many friends. Although her friends were in various fields, she stayed within her small social circle, with fewer than ten genuinely close ones.

Chen Si and He Yuan were among her close friends, and their potential marriage really delighted Du Xixi.

But thinking about the fact that they were already approaching marriage, while Miao Miao and Chen Yin were at a stalemate, Du Xixi couldn’t help but sigh inwardly, showing a bit of a thoughtful expression that others might not notice.

A house full of children seed to be the life Miao Miao wanted, but Chen Yin had physically hurt himself. Though all other functions were normal, he couldn’t have children, which made him hesitant to pursue Miao Miao more aggressively. He had been staying in the Imperial Palace for several days without ntioning pursuing Miao Miao to Du Xixi.

Du Xixi was concerned about Miao Miao and Chen Yin. After Chen Si and He Yuan finished their dumplings and left, Du Xixi couldn’t calm her thoughts. When she noticed it was almost ti for Miao Miao’s class to end, she decided to get dressed and head to the political economics departnt to have a chat with Miao Miao.

Chen Yin’s infertility was partially due to her, and Du Xixi wouldn’t directly say nice things for Chen Yin’s sake, coaxing Miao Miao to be with him. But Du Xixi wanted to better understand Miao Miao’s inner thoughts and know her true views on having children.

As soon as Miao Miao stepped out of the classroom building, Du Xixi caught her, and coincidentally, Du Xixi led Miao Miao to a secluded corner, the sa spot where Chen Yin had previously confessed to Miao Miao.

"Miss, do you have sothing to discuss with ?" Miao Miao asked with a gentle smile, seeing Du Xixi looking troubled, and couldn’t help but smile lightly, "If sothing is bothering you, feel free to speak up. I may not know much, but I’m more than willing to listen and help alleviate your concerns."
