Sigh, a Marshal with a wife is a treasure, while a robot without a lover’s affection is like a blade of grass!

...

On this morning, under Du Xixi’s guidance, Ke Lian finally stead a pot of big white buns, each the size of two adult fists. At least in terms of Du Xixi’s appetite, she could only eat a small half of one of these big white buns for breakfast.

Ke Xing had already returned from his appointnt, but Mo Ying, being quite frightened of Ke Lian, dared not continue living at the Ke Family. Within a few days, she moved back to the Mo Family but would occasionally return to check on Du Xixi and the child in her belly.

Du Xixi couldn’t eat more than a small half of the bun, sipping warm water in tiny mouthfuls while gently watching Ke Xing and his son eating buns.

Ke Xing had previously eaten Du Xixi’s breakfast for so ti, so the big white buns weren’t particularly delicious to him. But knowing these were painstakingly made by his son over several days, Ke Xing ate them with great emotion.

As for Ke Lian, everything he ate tasted wonderful, especially now with the big white buns he made with his hands bit by bit without letting Du Xixi help at all, naturally giving him a great sense of accomplishnt.

They say the harvest after labor makes one exceptionally happy, so now eating the big white buns he made himself is the happiest thing for Ke Lian.

Of course, the prerequisite for this happiness is that Du Xixi is here, Ke Xing is here, and the future child is here.

After breakfast, Ke Lian naturally handled work affairs while occasionally looking up at Du Xixi resting with closed eyes on the sofa. This gave him a great sense of security.

Ke Xing went out for a walk. He had already spent ti getting to know so of the elderly people around, and when Ke Lian stayed ho with Du Xixi, he hung out with his old pals for tea and chats.

Du Xixi vaguely rembered that several of Ke Xing’s old companions from his previous living area planned to move here. The reason, perhaps, was Ke Xing, the middle-aged man who couldn’t bear the "loneliness," egging them on.

However, whether Ke Xing’s old friends moved here or not had little to do with Du Xixi. She now seldom went out, staying ho quietly nurturing her pregnancy, and Ke Xing and Ke Lian likely wouldn’t let anyone disturb her peace.

Du Xixi rested her eyes briefly, seeing Ke Lian was busy with work, didn’t bother him, and called 2569, who was in the corner, to go upstairs with her.

This was Ke Lian’s instruction: if she wanted to move around when Ke Xing wasn’t nearby and Ke Lian was occupied, she must call 2569. Even at ho, she should call 2569.

Knowing a little master existed, 2569’s short-circuiting had improved quite a bit, making it quite a competent robot butler. As a robot butler, it would automatically activate the defense protection mode when a master encountered danger.

Ke Lian had spent ti improving 2569’s defense protection mode, not only adding attack functions but also connecting the Light Computers of Ke Lian, Ke Xing, Mo Ying, Mo Feng, and Ke Lian’s adjutant to ensure that at the mont danger occurred, the defense protection mode could send distress signals to all of them.

Ke Lian didn’t want Du Xixi to et with any trouble, not just because of the child but because Du Xixi was soone dear to his heart. She was very important to him.

Du Xixi also understood how much Ke Lian valued her, though she felt having 2569 follow her everywhere might be a bit uncomfortable. Thinking of her own safety, Du Xixi let it go.

After all, being the household’s robot butler, 2569 was considered one of the "people" close to Du Xixi, so there was no need to be restricted.

Du Xixi went upstairs, not for anything else but the pregnancy check-up tomorrow. Yes, Du Xixi was already a full month pregnant, and she would be heading to the military hospital tomorrow to check on the child in her belly.

A month had passed, yet there seed no distinctive change in Du Xixi compared to before; the child inside hadn’t even ford, just recently implanted as a bud.

However, Du Xixi’s frailty was real, and she indeed had noticeable pregnancy symptoms every day. She couldn’t stand the sll of fish, often suffered insomnia at night, and had even lost so strands of hair quietly while combing.

Yet Du Xixi didn’t see this as anything bad. Being pregnant was bound to have so reactions. Though daily discomfort persisted, Ke Lian and others were very concerned about her, and she also felt an undeniable sense of fulfillnt from truly being pregnant.

Du Xixi sat by the bedside, 2569 crouched in front of her, curiously watching her belly as she slowly touched her lower abdon. Her smile was gentle, and gradually, a radiance known as maternal love filled her body.
