Ke Lian leaned close to Du Xixi’s ear and whispered these two sentences, but Du Xixi herself didn’t hear them clearly; she had already fallen asleep from exhaustion. In her haze, she only felt a warm touch on her forehead, fleeting yet palpable.

She must have been truly worn out, for when the hovercar stopped in front of the villa, and Ke Lian personally carried her to the room for rest, Du Xixi remained deeply asleep, barely showing any awareness. Only when her body touched the soft mattress did she instinctively turn over, nestling herself into the embrace of the comforter.

Ke Lian gently tucked the blanket around Du Xixi, then watched her serene yet visibly fatigued sleeping face for a while. Only then did he extend his calloused fingers and cautiously touch Du Xixi’s face.

He pulled back his hand quickly, worried that his movents might disturb Du Xixi’s rest.

He quietly left the room, carefully closing the door without making a sound. As he turned around, he noticed Ke Xing holding the two children and smiling at him, as if silently inquiring about Du Xixi’s well-being.

The room was well soundproofed, but to be safe, Ke Lian signaled Ke Xing to take the children and follow him downstairs.

In the living room, ensuring no sound would reach the room, Ke Lian spoke in a slightly hushed voice: "Xixi is a bit tired and has fallen asleep. She’s sleeping deeply, probably won’t have the mind to eat, let’s eat first and keep 2569 warming her portion."

By the ti Du Xixi had Ke Lian pick her up, it was already past the Ke Family’s usual alti. Nonetheless, Ke Lian and Ke Xing had planned to wait for Du Xixi to return to eat together. But Du Xixi, exhausted, imdiately fell asleep and even the journey didn’t wake her; asking her to eat now would likely have her dozing off at the dining table.

The Ke Family had rules, but they’re not unchangeable. Considering the special situation with Du Xixi, it’s fine for her to eat lunch later. And since Ke Lian and Ke Xing couldn’t predict when Du Xixi would wake up, they would naturally have to eat first.

Once 2569 portioned out Du Xixi’s al and placed it in the warr, Ke Lian and Ke Xing sat at the table to eat, although they both felt sowhat lacking in appetite.

Seeing that Ke Lian, like him, was rely stuffing food down haphazardly, Ke Xing chuckled. After putting down his chopsticks, he looked at Yiyi and Er Er who were happily drinking from their bottles in their high chairs, and teased Ke Lian: "Look, maybe these two little ones still have the best appetite in our house!"

Youths know not the taste of sorrow, infants know not the worries of parents. Yiyi and Er Er naturally didn’t understand why their mother was so exhausted promoting cuisine, nor did they know their father and grandfather were worried about her, leading to their own lack of appetite.

Ke Lian watched as the two children quickly drank all the milk from their bottles and then contentedly patted their bellies afterward, and he chuckled lightly.

His feeling of heaviness didn’t ease much, but after finishing the little food he had and getting up to head to the training room for exercise, his expression appeared relaxed.

Looking at 2569 who was quietly awaiting instructions beside him, he said, "When the livestream ti is near, go upstairs and wake the Madam. Otherwise she might be unhappy if it’s too late."

"Yes!"

Du Xixi’s dedication to promoting cuisine was already apparent. Although Ke Lian could not fully understand Du Xixi’s true feelings towards food, he would always support her.

Whatever Du Xixi wished to do, she would do freely! Behind her, Ke Lian and Chen Yin would always be her pillars!

Ke Lian had instructed 2569 to serve as a "mobile alarm clock," but Du Xixi woke up on her own, half an hour before the livestream was about to start.

It was as if her mind was constantly aware of the livestream, and after sleeping fully, she abruptly sat up, without the usual drowsiness from waking, instead feeling particularly spirited, although her stomach was rather hungry.

She rubbed her stomach, casually washed her face in the bathroom, then tied up her loose ponytail again, and the gentle and dignified Marshal’s Wife once more appeared in the mirror.

Opening the room door and walking down the stairs, Ke Xing and the two kids seed to have gone out to play, so Du Xixi didn’t see them around, instead finding 2569 crouching at the bottom of the stairs, muttering sothing in a chanical voice.
