"I need to sleep, but you’re more important." Chen Yin yawned, relaxing as he sat next to Du Xixi, lazily dropping his gaze to Du Xixi’s large pregnant belly, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly, "I’m taking two days off for myself, no rush."

This ti, taking a rest was secondary; the real important thing was to see the two nephews inside Du Xixi’s belly. As long as Du Xixi and the kids were doing well, no matter how tired he was, Chen Yin felt it was worth it.

Under Du Xixi’s encouraging gaze, Chen Yin carefully placed his right hand on the belly, gently stroking it: "Behave, little ones, I’m your uncle! Your only uncle!"

Du Xixi smiled at these words, just about to say the kids might not understand what Chen Yin was saying, when she felt so movents from her belly. The two kids surprisingly "obeyed," reaching out to touch Du Xixi’s belly, and coincidentally, their small hands t Chen Yin’s palm through the belly skin.

"Xixi! Xixi!" Chen Yin jerked up, standing quickly, but his right hand still carefully remained on the belly, trying hard to feel the interaction with the kids.

"I heard it!" Du Xixi smiled softly, feeling that Chen Yin was sowhat childlike at the mont, but it didn’t matter; it only made things feel more intimate.

The interaction ti between the kids and Chen Yin was less than thirty seconds, yet Chen Yin tried hard to feel it, occasionally "communicating" with them:

"Rember, I’m your uncle, you must call uncle!"

"Uncle is easy to say, first you call mom, then you call uncle!"

"Give uncle a high five! Give one!"

Chen Yin never showed any authoritative attitude in front of Du Xixi; he only positioned himself as her elder brother, so his uninhibited, relaxed deanor truly surprised Mo Ying and Ye Wenting.

Mo Ying had long known the close relationship between Du Xixi and Chen Yin, even calling each other brother and sister, but she thought their sibling bond was just childhood camaraderie. Perhaps because it was rare, they valued it extra.

However, it was clear now that their relationship was far more than childhood bonds; Chen Yin regarded Du Xixi as his real sister, and Du Xixi felt the sa way about him.

Although Du Xixi and Chen Yin had no blood ties, their feelings for each other were more genuine than those between many siblings in the world.

Through the surfacing of true feelings, Ye Wenting’s surprise also made him think of the current situation inside the Blue Star Empire.

The Blue Star Empire appeared peaceful, and indeed was quite peaceful; it was evident from how Chen Yin dared to walk out of the palace in broad daylight, getting recognized, yet safely arriving at the Ke Family.

No one wanted to disrupt the current peace, so within the Blue Star Empire, no high-ranking official was willing to harm Chen Yin. Instead, they constantly guarded against external terrorist forces to prevent anyone from endangering his life.

Peace, in so ways, also signifies freedom. The relationship between Chen Yin and Du Xixi at this mont was a representation of freedom.

As the sole mber of the Imperial Family, Chen Yin didn’t need to curry favor with anyone to consolidate power, nor did he need to guard against anyone to protect power. Even Ke Lian’s Marshal status posed before him was irrelevant, as Chen Yin constantly quarreled with the mismatched Ke Lian, opting for genuine sibling-like interactions with Du Xixi.

Du Xixi’s status as Marshal’s Wife was not the reason for Chen Yin’s close association with her; otherwise, he could have straightened things out with Ke Lian instead of choosing Du Xixi, who held neither power nor real authority except for title and reputation.

After logically analyzing everything, Ye Wenting adjusted his glasses, seeing Chen Yin still intimately chatting with Du Xixi. He decided to abandon his habit of instinctively thinking too hard, resolving to judge based on his true inner thoughts.

To put it simply, His Majesty Chen Yin was a very genuine person.

Nearing noon, Chen Yin was already tired; he lounged limply on the sofa with closed eyes resting. Even though Du Xixi advised him to go upstairs to the clean guest room for a proper nap, he chose to hold on and wait for lunch before sleeping.

Ke Lian erged from the training room just as Chen Yin’s head was nodding, almost asleep sitting on the sofa. The man wiping sweat noticed keenly that a familiar yet out-of-place aura was perating the air.
