While waiting for their food, the waiter placed a rose on their table and lit a rose-scented candle. Lu Weixi was a bit surprised but Qin Zhiyou was simply gazing out of the window, paying no attention to it. She turned back and realized that every VIP booth had a flower as well – though not necessarily a rose. She thought to herself, how would Qin Zhiyou ever prepare a rose symbolizing love for her? It must be a coincidence.
As the food arrived, the famished Lu Weixi didn’t care that she was sitting across Qin Zhiyou, she ate with zest. Despite her eating quickly, her elite upbringing was evident in her elegant manners. Across from her, the ever-flirty, yet refined Qin Zhiyou was composed and leisurely.
They quietly devoured the delicious food on their plates, and before long, only the final dessert course remained. Qin Zhiyou elegantly wiped the corner of his mouth with a dinner napkin, remarking casually, “This place is not bad.”
Lu Weixi responded with a noncommittal hum, casually adding, “After all, it’s an established place. Compared to six years ago…”
Before she finished her sentence, she shut up, and Qin Zhiyou also paused his napkin-wiping motion, his eyes squinting slightly.
It was clear who she had been here with six years ago.
The waiter brought the desserts. Lu Weixi’s was a rose dessert, yet she didn’t touch it, and neither did Qin Zhiyou.. Just as they were about to leave, a peal of laughter rang out:
