Chapter 911: Chapter 913: Accident (1) Chapter 911: Chapter 913: Accident (1) Director Zhao encouraged everyone, “Let’s work hard and strive to finish today! If we can wrap up today, I’ll treat everyone to a big al tonight!”
“Great!” Everyone knew that this scene was the last one of the movie. If they could finish ahead of schedule, they would have two extra days. They could spend the next couple of days doing whatever they wanted, which was incredibly exciting.
The preparation didn’t take long, and soon everyone was in position. Director Zhao started the clapperboard: “Chaotic Tis” crew, Group A, Scene 108, Take 5, Rolling!”
Everyone was on high alert, even Xiang Yirou, who had been sowhat lax, was exceptionally careful. The cara inched forward, everyone did their part thodically; the extras, under command, rode horses and shot arrows. The arrowheads, captured by the cara, glead dangerously, creating an impressive spectacle.
The first take was successful. However, according to filmmaking requirents, the sa shot had to be taken three tis, with different cara positions capturing the action simultaneously so the best footage could be chosen for editing. After completing the first take successfully, the second take also went smoothly.
The final take was about to begin.
Everyone returned to their original positions, feeling both tense and excited because it was the last take.
Yu Sixing sat in the chair, looking extrely comfortable on the surface. However, having been reviewing material just monts ago, he suddenly looked up, gauging the situation on set. If they could finish the shoot earlier, he could spend more ti with Xue Feifei.
As soon as Director Zhao started the scene with his gaphone, everyone imdiately beca emotionally engaged, Xue Feifei included. In this play, she had to act out being besieged by enemies while protecting herself, guarding the male lead from harm, and, what was most challenging, ensuring the female lead’s safety. She had to protect the leading lady, jealous of her while also harboring camaraderie, and deal with the main couple’s public displays of affection, all contributing to a very complex emotional state.
Nevertheless, she perford excellently. Whether it was the complex emotions faced in the love scenes or the anger and determination against enemies, even to the extent of cursing with fierce intensity, she nailed it. Soon, it was ti for the arrow release. She and the leads fought and retreated, brandishing swords in hand to deflect the incoming arrows. But the female lead stumbled, and the male lead, wanting to save her but unable to, left it to Xue Feifei, who scolded the female lead with annoyance yet dashed over to knock away the arrow aid straight for her heart.
But then, disaster struck.
In the script, the arrow Xue Feifei blocked for Xiang Yirou was extrely perilous, but both she and Xiang Yirou were supposed to be unhard this ti. After rushing over, in addition to swiping away arrows with the swords in her hands, the final arrow was ant to be clenched in her teeth as she narrowly escaped.
Initially, everything went well, even with Xue Feifei holding the arrow in her mouth. But as she turned her head, in that instant, an arrow, as if stray from its intended path, flew toward her neck.
The arrows were preset in their direction from the beginning, and everyone had a rough idea of their trajectory. Though the arrowheads weren’t sharpened, they were still threatening, which is why everyone had to get into position in advance and knew exactly how to parry and move around.
However, machinery can sotis fail, and at least the arrowhead, which should have never appeared there, was now shooting straight towards Xue Feifei’s neck!
