It was a bit strange, though. Aside from those two voices, there was a woman’s voice—it was Qin Zhii’s.
Even with Lu Weixi’s windows and doors closed, one could still make out the delicate timbre of Qin Zhii’s voice from below. “Brother Sixing, thank you for bringing ho. There wasn’t much of a response from Yu Sixing below, just the faint sound of Qin Zhii’s sweet voice. Then, not long after, there were footsteps approaching closer and closer, followed by the bedroom door opening to reveal Qin Zhiyou, and only Qin Zhiyou.
Xue Feifei sighed with relief on the one side, while on the other, Lu Weixi greeted him with a smile. “You’re back so early?”
“Not early.” Qin Zhiyou ca in while taking off his coat, “If it weren’t for running into Qin Zhii, I could have co back even earlier.”
Lu Weixi took his coat and hung it on the nearby rack. “What’s been happening? You left early this morning.”
“Had a business eting with Sixing,” Qin Zhiyou said indifferently, “He was supposed to go back after our talk, but then he ran into Qin Zhii. Quite frankly, I don’t know if he’s changed or what, but previously he always seed to dislike that girl, and now, I often see them together.”
The more he spoke, the more Xue Feifei relaxed. As long as Yu Sixing was not related to her, it was all good.
She felt she shouldn’t stay any longer. “Well, I’m going to walk in the hallway. You probably have more to talk about.”

Lu Weixi nodded, recalling Xue Feifei’s unusual behavior and sighed, “Even though we’re busy with our own business, it’s not as destructive as the entertainnt industry. Although Xue Feifei had left the room, she didn’t dare to go downstairs; Yu Sixing was still down there. Bored and listless, she paced to the end of the hallway where a window was open. Pushing it further, she could see a tall maple tree outside.
Even though Yu Sixing didn’t co for her, relief washed over her. But she held no grudge against him, hearing he was with Qin Zhii—it was probably pressure from his family, and deep down, she felt—a tad bit of disappointnt.
If Yu Sixing was willing to be with Qin Zhii, then he probably wouldn’t bother her again, right?
Perhaps it was the sound of the wind outside that kept her from noticing two sets of footsteps ascending the stairs.
It wasn’t until she heard Qin Zhii’s voice at the stairwell that she paid attention. “Brother Sixing, can you help decide on the outfit for tonight?”
As Xue Feifei turned around, she saw Yu Sixing standing at the stairwell.
