It wasn’t that soone was stopping her, nor was it that there were continued insults or anything else, let alone Qin Zhiyou or Cai Yiren wanting to keep her around. Rather, she stopped in her tracks on her own accord.
Qin Zhiyou was a bit surprised; he only saw Lu Weixi break free from his grasp, then slowly walk to the edge of the stage and casually pick up a cup of beer, whose owner was unknown, from a table before heading to a so-called “bestie” who had just been speaking up for Cai Yiren and mocking her.
The bestie was caught off guard, for she wasn’t as tall as Lu Weixi and now had to tilt her chin up defiantly in a desperate effort to et her gaze.
She had laughed and ridiculed a lot just monts ago, but now, with Lu Weixi actually standing before her, her bravado seed sowhat deflated. “What, what are you doing? With so many people here, don’t do anything over the top.”
As soon as those words were uttered, Lu Weixi lifted the cup of beer high and poured it over her head.
With a “splashing” sound, the beer flowed down from the top of her head. Her hair, which was let loose, was imdiately drenched and hung down like a mop. A good deal of beer poured down into her neckline and soaked her clothes, leaving her in a complete ss.
And of course, when pouring liquid like that, it’s inevitable for so to splash around. But no matter, those standing beside the girl were mostly the sa people who had been badmouthing Lu Weixi. A chorus of screams erupted as they jumped to one side, while she narrowed her eyes slightly, her gaze ice cold.
“Bai Weixi!” After being doused, the girl was initially a bit dazed, but as soon as she regained her senses, she erupted in fury, “Have you gone mad!”
Lu Weixi simply took a small step back. She wasn’t foolish enough to engage in a fight with this madwoman. Win or lose, it would cost her dignity, right?
“Do you know why, out of all the people who spoke against , I only splashed you with a cup of beer?” Lu Weixi’s voice was clear as she raised her volu, “Because you insulted my mother! Insulting people without involving their families is common sense! You, and the rest of you, can say whatever you want about , but if you dare to insult my mother, I will be right there to the very end with you! Also, my surna is Lu, not Bai! And I have nothing to do with that pair on the stage!”
She pointed her arm, her fingertip directly jabbing towards Qin Zhisu’s face, her voice sharp.
“Well said.” Qin Zhiyou slowly stepped forward. “I am curious if this young lady plans to carry on with further studies or work.”
Lu Weixi wasn’t too concerned about class matters and wasn’t familiar with this girl, so at hearing this, she just frowned slightly.
Qin Zhiyou didn’t hold back in his response, “If it’s about pursuing further studies, whether it’s dostic or overseas universities, although the moral standards required for graduate students aren’t that high nowadays, sending a letter to stir trouble and cancel her scholarship or rit awards is still not an issue. If it’s about working, that’s even simpler. For soone of such despicable character, even though she might not work at Hanhai Group, as an enterprise in the construction industry, we also have an obligation to remind her employer to pay attention to their employees’ quality standards, don’t we?”
Scared stiff, the girl started trembling, instantly losing all her arrogance. “You…you’re just bullying with your power!”
With a look that said, “Yes, I’m bullying with my power, so what?” Qin Zhiyou turned back around and wore a face of moral righteousness, “Hey, how should I put this? I’m clearly looking out for the best interest of their companies. Behaving like a coward over a trivial matter, hiding behind others to spout nastiness, and even starting to curse soone’s parents, firing would be letting you off lightly. If you’re not satisfied with your current job or school, feel free to keep attacking my girlfriend, and I’ll ensure your demands are t.”
