“Of course, if all you want is the empty title of ‘Qin Zhiyou’s girlfriend,’ then you should have said so earlier to avoid confusion later on. I don’t want to co off as overbearing.”
What Qin Zhiyou was actually doing with these words was subtly asking for so intimacy, but he didn’t dare to be too explicit. He knew that although Lu Weixi appeared spoiled and willful, deep down she couldn’t accept a relationship that was too open.
If they hadn’t discussed the conditions beforehand and he brought this up directly, Lu Weixi might have really hesitated. After all, their feelings had shifted from hostility to romance in less than a day. And with romance, physical contact was inevitable.
But… they had already done intimate things the day before, even though she had been unconscious at the ti. She wasn’t a child of a few years old—once she regained consciousness, she was of course aware sothing had happened from the changes in her own body.
“If you’re unwilling, you should explain sooner. Don’t drag things out—resolve them quickly. I don’t need to give up an entire forest for a tree that isn’t mine,” said Qin Zhiyou in an indifferent tone. It was clear that he had plenty of won on the outside. Qin Zhiyou was itching to sit beside her, embrace her, and kiss her, but as he put his hand in midair, he hesitated and instead turned to close the wardrobe door: “Do you want to take a shower and change your clothes? I’ll have the servants bring you sothing fresh.”
Lu Weixi was about to refuse with a “No need,” but Qin Zhiyou, with his hands in his pockets and a nonchalant expression, said, “It’s up to you. But going ho later in the sa clothes seems a bit inappropriate.”
Her clothes from the previous night had been eagerly torn by Qin Zhiyou. She had been brought here by him, and having never stayed over at the Qin Family residence before, she naturally didn’t have any clothes there. After hesitating a mont, she simply nodded: “Then I’ll trouble you.”
“No problem, after all, you’re now technically my ‘girlfriend,'” he said playfully. Yet, when they heard the term ‘girlfriend,’ both felt a slight discomfort.
“Go take a shower. I’ll have the servants find you so clothes and a towel.”
“Thank you. But do you know what size my clothes are?”
Only then did Qin Zhiyou dare to scan her from top to bottom carefully and then confidently nodded with an especially magnetic voice, “Last night—I asured with my hands, so I won’t be wrong.”
Despite having just ‘negotiated terms’ and knowing there had been a past incident, hearing this still made Lu Weixi blush.
Qin Zhiyou really did turn around and leave the room. He didn’t go downstairs but asked the servants to prepare towels and spare clothes. He even offered in a gentlemanly manner, “Take your ti in the shower. I’ll be in the study reading. Call when you’re ready, and I’ll take you ho.”
It was all so gentlemanly and polite—so unlike him. But it made sense; once n have had their way, they switch on ‘Mode Sage.’ He had gotten what he wanted; why rush now?
Yet, his slight retreat at this mont gave Lu Weixi a faint sense of security, as if there were a space to slow down after a furious sprint.
