All these thoughts almost caused her to run a red light, but a quick brake saved her. Having waited at the traffic light, her mood stabilized sowhat and she dashed off in her car.
But when she got ho, Qin Zhiyou still wasn’t there.
She felt a bit uneasy but didn’t want to ask, so after dinner, she decided to kill ti by sitting in the living room and aimlessly watching TV. Not really paying attention, she had no idea what she had watched. It was ti for her to sleep, without any choice, she headed upstairs.
She woke up in the morning after a sowhat light sleep, and Qin Zhiyou still hadn’t returned.
Lu Weixi almost wanted to set off fireworks in celebration, but regretted the anxiety from last night which disrupted her sleep. As if to justify his excuse, his phone rang and he moved to the side to take the call. Lu Weixi naturally didn’t mind, until she heard the words “Hanhai”. It sounded like so stocks fell, he advised not to panic and clear the stocks yet.
Lu Weixi waited for the client to finish his call, discussed so house design issues first, only after they finished working did she make a tentative enquiry, “I overheard you ntion sothing about Hanhai stock, did it fall a lot?”
The client, who worked in stock trading, replied nonchalantly, “You must have heard the news recently, they had so safety issues, it wasn’t really big. The stock did fall a bit, but it’s within acceptable levels.”
Lu Weixi simply responded with an “Oh”, despite her lack of feelings for Qin Zhiyou and the Qin family, she didn’t wish for him to be too miserable.
No wonder Qin Zhiyou had been absent the past few days, it seed that he indeed had so troubles. On her way back to the office after finishing the work, she was stopped at a red light next to an LED screen. It was flashing news about the recent safety incident, showing Qin Zhiyou in a black suit, with a stern expression. Xiaochen in the backseat reminded her, “Lu, the light’s green.”
Lu Weixi nodded and continued driving
When she got ho that night, Qin Zhiyou still wasn’t there. The next day, he hadn’t returned either.
By the third day, Lu Weixi had gotten used to Qin Zhiyou not being at ho.
Who knew…
