Chapter 686: Chapter 688: The Third Party (3)

Feifei arrived in the afternoon for filming. When everyone saw her, they wore an expression of wanting to say sothing but holding back. However, when she looked their way, they acted as if nothing had happened and averted their eyes.

Sixing was there too, but he arrived particularly late. This wasn’t rely to avoid being discovered.

He was being pressured to get married by his parents again.

His grandfather’s health had slightly improved. For a heart failure patient with high blood pressure like his grandfather, every day could be his last, but after every such day, there might be countless tomorrows. In summary, his condition was like a porcelain vase – everything was well as long as it was not shattered. But you never knew when it might crack.

After improving, the first thing his grandfather brought up when he woke up was Sixing’s personal affairs. Sixing was his grandfather’s favorite grandchild. His older brother was already married, and so was his sister. Only he was loafing through life without a clear direction, which gave his grandfather no end of worry.

As soon as his grandfather started pushing, his parents promptly followed suit. It so happened that Zhii was visiting the hospital when his grandfather woke up. Zhii never missed an opportunity to put herself at an advantage, this ti giving his grandfather the false impression that they were dating, which made him very happy.

His parents had people in their company and knew Sixing had been out on business trips recently. They knew he was on set now. For a CEO of an entertainnt company, it’s entirely reasonable to visit the set of a film he had heavily invested in. But he couldn’t keep staying out of town, could he?

Knowing that he had been visiting the set for two days, his parents began pressuring him to return and to get married.

He and Feifei were just starting to date, and even without Feifei, he had no intentions of getting back together with Zhii. But when his parents queried him about whether he had a girlfriend, he denied it.

At this ti, he deeply regretted agreeing to keep his relationship with Feifei a secret. It was a normal relationship, but it felt like sothing that had to stay hidden.

Because of Du Sui’s arrival today, the filming schedule was disrupted, seriously delaying the progress. Their scene lasted until early morning and still wasn’t done. By the ti they finished, it was after midnight.

After the shoot, Huang Mi hadn’t left. Director Zhao called the main actors over, informing them of tomorrow’s scene and told them to prepare in advance.

Suddenly, his assistant rushed over, holding Huang Mi’s phone, “Brother Mi, your phone has been ringing non-stop.”

Huang Mi slightly frowned, took the phone, and saw the call history. It was all Du Sui’s calls, seventeen or eighteen of them in total. The calls began around ten-thirty last night and went on till midnight. Then he opened WeChat and saw over thirty ssages from her before he could even start reading them. The earlier ones were full of swearing and telling him to die, but the later ones changed to “reply to my call, reply to my ssages! I will wait till midnight!”

“You’re not replying, right? Fine, bear the consequences.”

Huang Mi rubbed his brow, he had been dating Du Sui for several years now and was familiar with her pampered attitude. But he had genuinely been filming and had no ti to reply to her calls and ssages. He had no choice but to send her a conciliatory ssage: “Sorry, I was filming.”

After sending the ssage, he was surprised to see that he was no longer on her friend list. Was he blacklisted?

Huang Mi was startled and quickly called her, but the ssage from the other end said, “The number you have dialed is busy. Please call again later.”

As expected, he had been blacklisted.
