After their engagent, he didn’t get particularly close to Fang Rushuang. Forget touching her, there wasn’t any kind of unnecessary physical contact at all. At most, he was just a bit friendlier and gentler with her in the office. There wasn’t even a need to pick her up or drop her off since he was busy, he never asked her out, either.
The only change was—since he was engaged to Fang Rushuang—he didn’t need to keep the company of other won for appearances anymore.

“If Du Sui dare to insult you ever again, you don’t have to be polite to her. My relationship with Fang Rushuang is a thing of the past. Plus, back then, it was who kept pursuing you. I had let her down, not you.”
“Mmm.” Lu Weixi nodded. She didn’t say anything more, went back to the room with him and headed to the airport.
All the way, Qin Zhiyou noticed that her mood was still a little low. He reached out to take her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.
Lu Weixi turned her head to look at him. Qin Zhiyou extended his arm, and though Lu Weixi hesitated a bit, she finally laid her head against his shoulder.
“Will we… be happy?”
Although it was a sentence of affirmation, there was an added hint of uncertainty at the end.
The plane took off, quickly flying towards the distance.

After getting her stuff, Lu Weixi promptly left the room. Only Xue Feifei and Yu Sixing were left.
With her head lowered, the beverage in Xue Feifei’s hands had long since beco lukewarm. Yu Sixing stood up, fetched another can for her and put it in her hand, “Thank you.”
Both remained silent again. Although they were now boyfriend and girlfriend, when you ca right down to it, aside from the ti spent working in the evenings, there was almost no interaction between them.
They were unfamiliar with each other, had only t a few tis, and didn’t know what to say.
A mont later, seeing her constantly switching hands to hold the can, Yu Sixing guessed that the drink was probably too cold and finally spoke, “Here, let .”
Xue Feifei refused: “No need, I can do it myself.”
“It’s alright, didn’t you help out last night too?” Yu Sixing took the drink from her, sat next to her, and helped her roll it on her face.
Xue Feifei then found a topic to talk about: “How was your visit to the hospital?”
Having been kicked to the point of immobility the night before, she wondered how he was doing now.
