She tried another jump, but it was no better. And again, no improvent.
She had jumped more than ten tis in a row, and the director kept signaling for NG. The group shooting nearby concluded, with several actors glancing her way as they passed.
A staff mber alongside the set ntioned that there had been two hours of non-stop NGs for this single scene.
The focus of the current scenes were mainly on the female lead, Xiang Yirou, and the male lead, Huang Mi. However, once Xue Feifei had fully integrated into her role, the interactions between these three would increase. Especially with Huang Mi, as there were emotional entanglents with the second female character and he couldn’t be overly aloof.
Truthfully, however, they had barely t on set prior to this. When Xue Feifei joined the cast, the shooting was already in full swing.
Although Xiang Yirou had gained recent popularity, Huang Mi was already an award-winning actor and considered a senior. She paid much attention to working with Huang Mi.
Despite his electrifying on-screen presence, earning him the title of ‘Top 10 Most Captivating Eyes’, Huang Mi was particularly silent off-cara. If not for his early debut and nurous awards, as well as his extraordinary status within the industry, his cold deanour would have made him difficult to approach.
Xiang Yirou’s current role portrayed her as pure-hearted and righteous, the perfect example of the ‘girl next door’. Not only was she beautiful, but she was also a hard worker, taking on her fair share of action scenes.
However, it had to be said, Xue Feifei completely surpassed her.
At this mont, seeing Xue Feifei, in her beautiful dress clinging to her body, dancing until her hair was all sweaty, her face slightly flushed, her wet hair and the sweat-soaked neckline was a sight. Even as she twisted her waist, one could see her sweat-soaked dress.
Sweat trickled down from her forehead, so slipping off the tip of her nose, so falling from her chin and droplets hitting the floor, following her dance moves. She was so rigid with exhaustion that her hair was fogging up from the heat, her makeup sared and her hairdo loose.
She tried to hold on to the emotions she felt were necessary for her character on her face, but fatigue was taking its toll. After finishing the dance, she knew that she wouldn’t be able to pass this round.
Looking exhausted, she asked the director, “Can you please tell where I need to improve?”
To her surprise, the director looked at her and nodded straight away: “No need, it’s very good.”
Xue Feifei was puzzled. She was disheveled and sweaty, and her dance moves felt even slightly distorted; what about that could be considered good?
Yet, not only the director but Huang Mi, who had been watching from the side, also applauded: “Well done.”
Xue Feifei was even more baffled. Huang Mi stepped forward with a smile. “Hello, even though it’s not our first eting, I am Huang Mi.”
“Hello, hello.” Xue Feifei was taken aback. Since joining the crew, she had been treated like an18th-line starlet; not to ntion the male and female leads, even the second and third supporting actors didn’t acknowledge her. Unexpectedly, it was the famous Huang Mi who was the first to approach her.
Just as she was about to shake his hand, she suddenly noticed that her palms were sweaty. Feeling embarrassed, she withdrew her hand and instead had an assistant pass her a tissue to wipe her hand with. Huang Mi just smiled. “No problem. I admire actors who fully throw themselves into a role. It’s rare to find soone so focused these days.”
While smiling, Huang Mi lifted his eyes slightly, a glint of admiration radiating from the corners of his eyes.
