Chapter 613: Chapter 615: Missed (2)
Lu Weixi joyfully went to answer the door, only to find Qin Zhiyou standing there.
This guy was leaning on the door with one arm, standing at an angle, and teasingly raised one eyebrow, “What, never seen soone so handso before?”
Lu Weixi’s face turned cold and she was about to close the door imdiately. Qin Zhiyou quickly braced his other hand on the door, “The New Year is here and with your current attitude, you might have a bad year.”
“Seeing you is enough to ruin my entire year! Get lost!” Lu Weixi didn’t want to bother with him. She had been busy dealing with family matters lately and hadn’t had the heart to confront him, but Qin Zhiyou shouldn’t think he could keep pushing her around unchecked.
She loved Qin Zhigu. Qin Zhiyou’s harassnt had seriously impacted her life and could even threaten her future. She had planned to tell Qin Zhigu everything soon, including the fact that Qin Zhiyou had kissed her and threatened her.
No matter whether Qin Zhigu could accept it, she wanted to get rid of this jerk as soon as possible!
“Nothing is absolute in life, maybe you’ll end up marrying .” Suddenly, Qin Zhiyou leaned closer, his eyes twinkling and his smile evil.
“Even if I had to marry a dog, I wouldn’t marry you. Get out!” Lu Weixi was furious. She pushed out with both arms trying to close the door, but Qin Zhiyou held it firm with one hand and it didn’t budge.
While the two were locked in a standoff, Lu Weixi’s mother called out from inside, “Xixi, who is it?”
“Aunt Lu, it’s , Qin Zhiyou.”
Seizing the mont Lu Weixi was distracted, Qin Zhiyou rushed in. Once inside, he put on a mild expression, “Hello Aunt Lu, Happy New Year.”
Lu’s mother often visited the Qin family and naturally knew Qin Zhiyou. No matter how flirtatious he might be outside, he always maintained a polite deanor in front of adults. She didn’t have the heart to kick him out, “Hello, and Happy New Year. What brings you here? Isn’t the Qin family celebrating?”
“Yes, we are. I’ve just returned from work in another city.”
Only then did Lu Weixi notice his travel-stained appearance and luggage outside. But that was none of her concern, seeing Qin Zhiyou just annoyed her, “You need to leave right now!”
Given her mother was there, she couldn’t lose her temper.
Qin Zhiyou, apparently deaf to her demand, had brought a bag with him, “Aunt, this is a New Year gift for you.”
Neither Lu’s mother nor Lu Weixi wanted to accept it. However, Qin Zhiyou quickly diverted their attention by noticing the unfinished noodles on the table.
“Sorry, I’m a bit hungry. I’ve been busy all day and haven’t had ti to eat. Could you fix sothing?”
Normally, these words from Qin Zhiyou would have been sympathetic. Not to ntion, today was New Year’s Eve.
The TV was on in the room, blaring a cheerful “New Year’s Arrival”, but the room itself was desolate, a few light bulbs broken, casting a dim light.
Qin Zhiyou was the first grandson of the Qin family. Even though the rumors said that the old patriarch intended to pass the company to Qin Zhigu, it still seed a bit pathetic.
“Nobody cares about you, just get out.” Lu Weixi quickly moved to kick him out. To her astonishnt, Qin Zhiyou didn’t budge an inch and even had the audacity to sit in her chair, pick up her bowl and take a huge bite of her noodles.
PS: Cavan is in real pain, but don’t worry, I’ll stay up all night if that’s what it takes to finish this! Off to make tea and battle on.
