Chapter 370: Chapter 371: Cash on Delivery (3)
When Qin Zhiyou got up in the morning, he was calm while he indulged in his breakfast porridge.
However, as much as he appeared satisfied, there were several red marks on his face. Lu Weixi sat across from him, chanically stirring the bowl of century egg and lean at porridge in front of her. As she looked at the marks on his face, she lost her appetite.
Was she that fierce when they fought? She distinctly rembered only scratching him two or three tis. Yet, now, it looked as if a wild cat had scratched him, with crisscrossing marks that resembled a road map on his face.
She was the one who had scratched him. However, when Qin Zhiyou found the marks weren’t deep enough, he used her pointed fingernails to intensify the scratches on his face while she was asleep and only stopped when he was satisfied.
He had visited Siyi yesterday and found that his wife was professional and kept her distance from both him and Qin Zhigu. However, he could see that the latter still had a covetous eye on his wife. Even though he didn’t make any explicit moves, it was publicly known at Siyi that Simon White was interested in Lu. That was evidence enough!
He wouldn’t be able to visit Siyi for a few days, but he had to make sure that Qin backed off. These scratch marks were ant for him, to let him know that Xixi was exclusively his and had nothing to do with any second party!
Qin Zhiyou put down his spoon, swallowed the food in his mouth, and looked at her seriously. “Lu Weixi.”
Lu Weixi looked up, confusion written all over her face.
This man touched his cheekbone, raised an eyebrow, and said, “I’ve noticed that you’ve been looking at quite a lot lately. Have you realized how handso I am?”

Unfortunately, despite Qin Zhiyou’s big move, Qin Zhigu didn’t co downstairs to have breakfast with him. Out of regret, but also because he didn’t want to delay her and his work, he had to drive off.
To ensure his disguise remained intact, Qin Zhiyou decided to drive his rcedes-Benz. When they arrived at Siyi, as Lu Weixi was about to descend from the car, he held onto her arm. Turning her head back to look at him, he said nonchalantly, “I’ll be really busy for the next few days and won’t be able to visit Siyi. Try not to miss too much.”
“Really?” Lu Weixi’s face lit up with joy. Even though she wanted to retort with ‘Who would miss you?’, his absence from Siyi would actually make her work smoother. She didn’t want to deal with curious and gossiping faces while setting up tasks.
“You’re happy?” Qin Zhiyou’s gaze drifted towards her, and Lu Weixi, who was no fool, knew that this man was particularly prideful. Even if he didn’t truly love her, he didn’t want the won around him to be indifferent towards him.
So, out of the strong instinct to survive, she quickly shook her head: “Not at all, what I ant to say was — take care of yourself.”
Qin Zhiyou simply responded with a “hm”, not expressing anything else.
After a bit of silence, he broke it by stating,”You have to attend the banquet. I’ll co back beforehand.”
She had heard from him last night that her dress was already ordered and Yang Mogui had been notified, so there was no way for her to avoid attending. Anyway, the banquet was a private function that didn’t permit disreputable won to enter. Being his companion was not an issue for her, so she nodded her agreent.
With her swift acceptance, a faint smile finally appeared on Qin Zhiyou’s lips. But he quickly composed himself, and calmly asked her just as she was about to depart, “I ordered a few things online last night. Can you help receive the delivery?”
Even though it was a bit surprising to see the CEO – Qin, indulge in online shopping, receiving a package wasn’t a big deal. Without giving it much thought, she nodded.
Just when she was about to get out of the car, Qin Zhiyou spoke again. “Wei Hui.”
Lu Weixi turned her head back, a look of bewildernt on her face, as she observed his steady, unruffled deanor..
