The top few floors were designed as a luxury hotel. It was a comprehensive entertainnt establishnt where one could eat, drink, play, and stay.
In one of the luxurious rooms in STAR, Qin Zhiyou casually leaned back on the sofa, one hand taking the last card dealt by the dealer, the other holding a glass. He took a sip of his drink, his handso eyes squinting as if pondering sothing.
The phone on the table kept flashing, but he seed too lazy to pay attention. Yu Sixing beside him couldn’t stand it anymore and reminded, “Your phone has been ringing all night. Even if you’re not bothered, we’re getting annoyed by it. What if there’s a woman looking for you…”
Qin Zhiyou raised an eyebrow, put down his glass, and swiped his screen open. His dark pupils scanned his WeChat inbox but he lost interest almost imdiately, tossing the phone back on the table.
He Weiyou peeked over, glanced at the phone and mocked, “We ca over especially for your gathering tonight, and you’re still working. Isn’t that a bit off?”
Qin Zhiyou did not respond but threw his cards down, “All of tonight’s drinks are on .”
Yu Sixing and He Weiyou exchanged glances, realizing that he seed to be in a bad mood. Yu Sixing moved next to him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder to comfort him, “Since we are out to have fun, we should make it a blast. I recently invested in a live streaming website. A few of the female hosts there are not bad. Should we invite them over?”
Qin Zhiyou tilted his head and let out a half-hearted laugh, “Sure.”
Soon, the door of the private room knocked open, and in walked a few girls in playful short skirts, one for each man. The girl sitting next to Qin Zhiyou not only had a sultry face, but also a pair of fine, long, straight and white legs. She poured him a full glass of wine as soon as she sat down.
Qin Zhiyou sipped the wine and smiled, not saying a word. The woman next to him quickly refilled his glass as soon as it was empty. Qin Zhiyou swirled his whisky glass, the amber-colored liquid making a soft, chi-like sound as the large ice cubes collided with the glass. Looking at his drink with squinted eyes, his expression seed rather dreamy.
Yu Sixing brought his wine over, grinning from ear to ear, “So, pretty good, right?”
Qin Zhiyou made a hum of agreent and made a remark, “For unemployed won from Dongguan, their quality is indeed impressive.”
His words darkened the girls’ faces instantly. He Weiyou was about to say sothing, but saw Qin Zhiyou put down his glass, pick up his coat to leave. With a long stride, he walked toward the exit.
He took out his phone; Lu Weixi’s last ssage was from before that call. Afterward, she never called him nor sent any ssages..
