“Yes.” Qin Zhiyou hung up the phone and stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the deep night sky.
Although he had explained things clearly to his grandfather, he still needed a lot of ti to complete his work. The New York stock market was about to open, and he simply had no other ti to consider anything else.
He usually had two phones, one for work and one for personal use. His work phone had already been inundated with calls. Although the New York market had not yet opened, so people who had caught wind of sothing were secretly operating, and there were various ssages from each functional departnt.

Despite being busy with public affairs, he still took out his personal phone. Lu Weixi’s ssages were at the top, saying she might go to accompany Xue Feifei today because she was injured. Moreover, she had attached a photo of herself at the evening event.
Even as his mind was racing, seeing the text and ssages from Lu Weixi was like a tranquil haven after a complex storm. The down-to-earth nature of her ssages also cald his tense nerves a bit. It was fine that she didn’t know; letting her rest with Xue Feifei was all that mattered.
So he replied, “Okay, I have a bit of a situation with work today, so I might not be able to pick you up.”
Lu Weixi received the ssage and was a bit surprised. She said she wouldn’t finish the premiere until twelve, and she planned to visit Xue Feifei afterward. At such a ti, it was clear that sothing significant had happened at the company.
Today was their board eting day—was it possible that his uncle and aunt were causing trouble again? She knew Qin Zhiyou was very busy and work was taxing. If he wanted to share his work difficulties, she would of course offer comfort. But if he chose not to, she wouldn’t press him. After all, her expertise wasn’t able to help him with his work, and asking too much might just add to his stress.
“I understand, keep up the good work. Don’t worry about ; the baby and I will be waiting at ho for you.”
Although it was a simple word of comfort, it was enough to make Qin Zhiyou smile.
Sotis love is like that, not requiring lofty pledges or dramatic goodbyes. A simple “I’ll wait for you” is worth a thousand words.
Qin Zhiyou wanted to reply, but his phone shut down due to low battery. He furrowed his brows but rembered that he had already inford Lu Weixi, so if there was anything tomorrow, he would continue the conversation then.
So, he plugged his phone in to charge without turning it on and called the internal line: “Secretary Wang, bring several cups of coffee.”
I will be working all night to win this battle.

The evening function soon passed, and the movie premiere followed. Originally, a film of “Chaotic Tis”‘s caliber could have been screened at Cannes, but due to the 30th anniversary celebration of the Yan City Film Festival, it was specially invited to premiere here.
Once the film started, many fans of other stars had removed much of their presence, but there were still people who entered against the wind, such as Yu Sixing. He was the largest investor in “Chaotic Tis” and had also been invited to attend the film festival; he just hadn’t had ti to co watch.
