Chapter 1385: Chapter 1378: Gathering and Parting (2)

Xue Feifei turned her head and saw indeed an opened bottle of red wine on the table. Yu Sixing paced unconcernedly around until he reached the wine, then poured it into the glass: “1995 Mouton (one of the five first-growth estates in France). I recall you rambled about this last ti. Today, I was lucky enough to encounter a wine rchant and got a bottle. Pity there’s no stellar dish to accompany it.”

Xue Feifei looked at his silhouette from behind. Even though Yu Sixing had initially imposed himself quite forcefully, he genuinely took good care of her, both in terms of ticulous planning for her career and attending to her daily life. She liked drinking and had ntioned wanting to try the top vineyards of France; he indeed managed to get one for her.

Yu Sixing turned around and handed her a glass of red wine, then took one for himself. He took a sip, his eyes narrowing slightly: “The tannins are strong, robust bones, quite rich, and well-preserved. It’s a pity it hasn’t opened up yet (not sufficiently aerated); it should be let to breathe for another two hours.”

However, Xue Feifei wasn’t in the mood to drink. She gently swirled her stemd glass, releasing a rich aroma of smoke, cedarwood, and blackcurrant sweetness. Amidst the vinous fragrance, she was rather lucid: “Did your family arrange a blind date for you?”

Xue Feifei always spoke plainly, whether in matters of affection or work. Yu Sixing was startled for a mont, realizing she must have heard it from Lu Weixi after eting her tonight. He didn’t deny it: “There are so many significant issues, yet they add this ss at such a critical ti.”

His straightforward acknowledgnt left Xue Feifei uncertain of how to continue. Originally, this relationship had been aggressively pursued by Yu Sixing while she passively accepted, but at this point, dwelling on how it started was aningless. She liked him and was focused on the present and future.

Xue Feifei lifted her wine glass and drank it all at once, setting down the glass with a bit of a flourish: “If you plan to leave, just go, but make sure to tell first. I won’t be a mistress nor be kept in the dark.”

Yu Sixing had dated a few girlfriends before, but none were as forthright and transparent as Xue Feifei. Regardless of how lofty his past girlfriends seed initially, they inevitably bowed down after dating him for a while, especially after facing his imposing family. But Xue Feifei was different, neither directly confrontational nor hiding behind and weeping like a fragile flower.

Her straightforward tone was both amusing and frustrating to him, but her seemingly stubborn yet helpless tone also evoked his sympathy. He knew he was busy lately, and due to issues with Yu Corporation, he might not be able to juggle his ti with her.

Yu Sixing didn’t respond but turned to pour her another glass of red wine. Xue Feifei frowned, and Yu Sixing simply said, “This wine shouldn’t be wasted like this.”

This irritated Xue Feifei imdiately. She defiantly gulped down the wine Yu Sixing poured for her, then stepped forward, wrapped her arms around his neck, and passed the taste of wine to him from her mouth. After finishing, she tilted her head proudly and laughed: “Did I waste the wine now?”

At this mont, her arms were still around his neck, her eyes bright and her smile sly. He picked her up in his arms.

But in the end, as Xue Feifei reached over to the bedside table caressing it, Yu Sixing embraced her from behind, drawing close intimately: “What are you doing?”

“Looking for dicine.” Things progressed a bit too swiftly; she wasn’t quite prepared.

Yu Sixing remained silent, only pulling her hand back.
