Chapter 1086: Chapter 1088: A Good Play (2) Chapter 1086: Chapter 1088: A Good Play (2) Adding to the host’s mischief, she edited together footage of herself, Xiang Yirou, and Liu Yiyi, presenting the three faces on the screen as if they were competitors for a Best Actress award. Fortunately for Fang Rushuang, she had luck on her side; after all, her engagent to Qin Zhiyou had not been made public back then. Being a bridesmaid now, she wasn’t sitting below and thus dodged a bullet.
Although the three did not engage in any overt confrontations and even wore smiles, appearing gentle and modest, the barrage of comnts and many relatives and friends at the wedding had already imagined a grand drama unfolding.
This was further fueled by Lu Weixi whispering sothing to Qin Zhiyou with her head down and comnts floating across the screen about “the official wife currently having the upper hand.”
However, the main event hadn’t yet started, as the wedding had not begun.
In the banquet hall, the lights went out first, then a spotlight shone bright as Liu Yiyi ca onto the stage. As the host, she was tasked with emceeing for the evening. The hall was set up like a fashion runway with a giant floral arch at the entrance, the walkway extending all the way to the stage.
“Ladies and gentlen, welco to the wedding of Mr. Qin Zhizha and Miss Cai Yiren,” Liu Yiyi said.
Liu Yiyi truly had a strong spirit; despite her previously dismal career struggles, she was still able to put on a composed face and host the wedding, “Now, I have the honor on behalf of the bride and groom to introduce the visiting guests. First, the relatives and friends of the groom, Mr. Qin Zhizha—President of Hanhai Group and the groom’s elder brother, Qin Zhiyou.”
When the cara panned to him, Qin Zhiyou was sitting with his legs crossed, leaning back in his chair, a slight smile curling his lips. He was seated facing Lu Weixi’s direction, and though he wasn’t too close and hadn’t said much to her, from a psychological perspective, it was clear he sided with his wife.
Following Qin Zhiyou were Qin Weijian, Qin Zhigu, and Qin Zhii. As their mother, Qin Weijia was not included in the introductions. The bride’s side was then introduced, only ntioning Cai Yiren’s mother and uncle from the Cai Family. Due to the nurous guests, only one or two prominent representatives from each family were highlighted; soone like Lu Weixi was essentially overlooked and not ntioned.
After ntioning relatives and friends, the list of celebrities was sowhat more comprehensive, with almost all of the well-known individuals being called out by na.
Once the introductions were complete, the auspicious ti for the ceremony was nearly upon them. First to enter was Qin Zhizha with his groomsn, leading the way to the center of the stage, with his groomsn lined up beside him, like stars surrounding the moon.
When the wedding officially started, the spotlight turned to the distant floral arch, and Bai Changyou and Cai Yiren stepped into the public view, his arm entwined with hers.
The wedding march began, and following Bai Changyou and Cai Yiren were Bai Weiyi and another adorable flower girl from a different family, one to the left and one to the right, baskets in hand. They were dressed in outfits similar to the bride and groom’s, just scaled down, walking along and scattering flower petals.
Behind the flower girls ca the six bridesmaids invited by Cai Yiren, led by Fang Rushuang and Du Sui.
Additionally, possibly intentionally, Liu Yiyi said during her intro, “The bride Cai Yiren is walking towards us, arm-in-arm with her father, Bai Changyou. She and the groom have known and recognized each other for many years; their fate took many turns before they chose one another. It’s destiny’s design, heaven’s blessing, and also the well-wishes of a harmonious family. The bride, Cai Yiren, and the Qin Family share deep roots…”
