Chapter 1035: Chapter 1037: Catching a Cold (5) Chapter 1035: Chapter 1037: Catching a Cold (5) Both of them were montarily stunned. Then Lu Weixi nodded, “Right, we are indeed a family.”

A family is a family, just that this family isn’t husband and wife, but rather sister-in-law and brother-in-law. They were unequivocally a family, no doubt about it.

Qin Zhigu also agreed. If before he had trouble finding his place, then after so ti of contemplation and settling of his feelings, he had managed to calm his emotions. He nodded in response, “That’s right.”

Although he had adjusted his mindset, he still found it sowhat difficult to call her “sister-in-law” without any reservations. But communicating on equal terms was no longer a barrier, “Then, I’ll trouble you to give a ride ho with you.”

“Don’t ntion it,” said Lu Weixi, also nodding as she pulled out her keys and opened the car door, “It’s just a bit unfair for you, Simon White the great designer, to have to ride in this old car that cost just thirty thousand.”

“No, getting a ride saves a decent amount in cab fare, I can’t complain,” said Qin Zhisu, who rarely spoke playfully, but it also depended on who he was talking to. He opened the trunk, stored his luggage, and then turned to ask Xiaochen, “What about you? How are you getting back?”

Xiaochen answered with a smile: “No worries, I will take the subway.”

“Take a cab, I’ll reimburse you. Send the receipt at the end of the month,” Lu Weixi now had the ans and she wasn’t stingy. She knew that to ensure her team’s longevity, it was important to look out for their welfare.

“Got it!” Only a fool would refuse a ride offer. Xiaochen happily hailed a taxi, departing even before they did.

Lu Weixi drove, and Qin Zhigu sat in the passenger seat, buckling his seat belt, and reversed the car. Because of the snow, the weather was cold, so Lu Weixi didn’t drive fast. The car was very quiet inside; nobody spoke.

Qin Zhigu gazed out the window. Even though now, he had completely cald himself, it was impossible to say there wasn’t a slight stir of emotion. Just like the scene of handing over the coat earlier, he involuntarily thought about the past, about the ti when they were dating.

It was the sa for Lu Weixi. Even though part of her heart now belonged to Qin Zhiyou, her mother, and her work—betrayal was cruel, yet a first love still had many sweet mories that couldn’t be completely stripped away from the mory.

She thought for a long ti before finally speaking slowly, “Will you co over again tomorrow?”

Qin Zhigu was taken aback for a mont, then withdrew his gaze, not daring to look at her, and just watched the road ahead, “I should be there, but I’m not going to stay near the museum the whole ti. Paul has so issues that haven’t been resolved; I need to help him sort them out first. He has a bit of a temper, please be patient with him.”

The conversation was all business. Lu Weixi nodded, “It sounds like you’re done with your projects abroad and planning to stay in the country for a while.”

Qin Zhigu gave a wry smile, “Even if it’s not for Paul, do you think they would get married without asking to co back?” No matter what, he was Qin Zhizha’s cousin. It was the sa during the engagent, and now even more so with the wedding.

Lu Weixi couldn’t very well comnt on Cai Yiren’s pregnancy, but still offered a word of caution, “Just be careful. I feel like Cai Yiren has co here with you in mind.”

Qin Zhigu nodded, “I understand.”

As they were speaking, Lu Weixi’s car returned to the West Mountain villa. She entered first, and as soon as she did, Cai Yiren said, “I was just wondering why it’s been so long since I saw big brother picking up sister-in-law, and now sister-in-law is back—”

Her words trailed off as she saw Qin Zhigu behind Lu Weixi.
