Diana’s sharp words had cut deep and made Jin unable to refute her claims. He wanted to explain himself, but the choking sensation in his chest made it difficult for him to convey his thoughts.

As a result, before he could even recover, he heard Diana’s hate-filled words. When he looked at her, she had already turned around and was leaving the ward.

Pursing his lips, he stared at the door through which she had just left and placated himself, Hang in there, Jin... you knew this wasn’t going to be easy from the start.
He took a deep sigh a while later and drew the curtain back on. With this done, he lay on the bed. His mind was filled with Diana’s thoughts, but his heart had cald down. Knowing that thinking over this matter wouldn’t solve the problem, he soon shook her thoughts away and closed his eyes in the hope of catching so sleep.
Too much had happened today, and his mind and body were both exhausted. It was at that ti that a ping sound ca from within his head and poured water over his desire to rest.
When Jin opened his eyes, a mission panel had appeared in front of his eyes.

All his tiredness vanished the very next second, and Jin pushed himself off the bed. This sudden mission felt like a premonition to him, and without wasting any ti, he pushed aside the curtain and walked out of the ER with the washroom as an excuse.
Outside, knowing that it would be hard for him to get public transport at this hour, he walked along the road, and when he reached a place where there weren’t any streetlights, he used swift steps and rushed towards the nursing ho.
Half an hour later, he finally reached the nursing ho. His shirt was drenched with sweat, but without a care about that, he climbed over the main gate.
The main door was closed from the inside, and there were only a handful of nurses on night duty, so Jin didn’t need to be very careful.
He was familiar with the layout of the nursing ho and knew that the windows didn’t have railings. He went around the whole building, found a room whose window was open, and entered it.
Inside, an old woman was sleeping. Not disturbing her sleep even a bit, Jin made his way outside her room and, through the corridor, walked towards the room where Diana’s father was.
Turning the doorknob clockwise, he opened the door and went inside before silently closing it back.
When he turned around to face the bed, to his very surprise, there was a shadowy figure of a man sitting on the bed.
"Who is it?" the person asked with a deadpan tone. From the familiar voice, it was clear to Jin that the person was Diana’s father.
Shouldn’t he be sleeping? Why is he awake? Jin thought with a frown as he turned on his phone’s backlight.
The light illuminated his surroundings, and Mr. Johan’s figure beca visible to Jin. He was sitting on the bed with a nonchalant expression while staring straight towards the source of light.
His eyes were wide open, and there seed to be no struggle in them because of the sudden light.
"Who is it?" he asked again, but this ti a bit louder.
"It’s ... Jin," Jin flashed the light on his face in the hope that Mr. Johan still rembered him.
"Jin! I knew you were coming!" He smiled enthusiastically and gestured towards the bed. "Co, there are so things I must tell you."
Hearing him, Jin couldn’t help but frown as he thought, He knew I was coming?
Seeing that Jin was delaying, Mr. Johan urged, "Hurry! I don’t have much ti."
This brought Jin out of his thoughts, and he walked towards him and sat on the bed beside him.
"Listen to very carefully, alright?" Mr. Johan asked with widened eyes.
"Yes," Jin nodded and played along, thinking that Mr. Johan might be going through a hallucination episode.
"In about an hour and a half, I’ll be dead..." Mr. Johan said with a serious expression and continued.
However, the mont Jin heard those words, he couldn’t help but widen his eyes in shock as he looked at the ti left on the mission panel, which showed the sa amount of ti until the penalty.
"...As I have told you once before, your father and I weren’t on good terms at first because of his materialistic nature. However, a decade later, when he ca back to this country to start a new life, he handed so crucial information about the secret research he had been working on... it was sothing that would endanger the whole world.
It was only after you were born that your father started having second thoughts, and he faked an illness to retire prematurely. If it were only that, then it wouldn’t be a problem, but knowing how dangerous the research material was, he had given so fake results to hamper their progress and, while at it, also copied so hard proofs which revealed the company’s dark works onto a flash drive and took it with him.
When he later ca to Valeyria, the first thing he did was not to go to his house but to approach and pass this flash drive. ’If anything happens to , please make the content inside this flash drive public,’ he told and left without giving much of an explanation.
It was only after I checked the contents of the flash drive that it dawned on what your father had got himself involved in. Afraid and worried about Diana’s safety, I wanted to throw away the flash drive, but in the end, I held myself back and instead chose to hide that flash drive in a safe place.
However, now that I think of it, it didn’t matter whether I threw the flash drive or not, as those people would have still targeted , as they were already aware that your father had co to .
A few years later, when I got the news of your family’s death, I rushed towards your house in the dead of night, only to realise at a crucial mont that my car’s brake had faile— Cough! Cough!"
Mr. Johan started coughing all of a sudden, and seeing this, Jin poured him so water from the nearby jug and passed it to him.
