Because of the shock wave, the woman soon found herself zooming towards Jin's figure.

She imdiately reached for her knife and aid for Jin's throat.

Jin, who was caught by surprise, imdiately called out the knife from his inventory and blocked her attack.

Strike!

When they made contact, the woman wrapped her legs around Jin and tried to overpower him.

She failed. The next mont, Jin jerked his knife and pulled it downwards, as a result the woman lost her grip on the knife.

With a victorious grin, Jin aid for the woman's neck to kill her, only to stop just a few inches away.

He tilted his head downwards and saw the woman's left hand holding the rip cord of his bag.

'Fucking hell,' Jin thought with an incredulous expression.

When he raised his head, he saw the woman's lips forming the following word with a grin, 'Checkmate'

Jin clenched his teeth in anger. However, he knew that being aggressive at this point would only lead to an early death.

Seeing that Jin had understood his position, the woman finally used her other hand and made so signs.

'Two fingers…going down...' Jin furrowed his eyes and tried to interpret her actions since oral communication was not possible when hurricane-like winds were whistling past your ears.

'So, she wants to stay hung onto like now and survive together when the parachute opens…' Jin finally interpreted her words.

He looked at the small altiter attached to one of the straps and saw that they were only five thousand feet above the ground.

'Let's wait until it reaches four thousand,' Jin thought as a precautionary asure. He believed that at that height, the woman wouldn't have enough ti to kill him and take his parachute from him.

'This crazy bastard! Does he want to die together?!' the woman thought when she saw that Jin was not responding to her signals.

She was aware that this was her last chance to escape the situation alive. Therefore, she pounded Jin's chest with her hand to elicit a response out of him.

Jin finally glanced at her and showed a thumbs-up. The knife was no longer in his hand, and before the woman could worry about where the knife was, the parachute opened up and Jin's arm tightly wrapped itself around her body.

'Can't let her accidentally pull that cord now…' Jin thought as he made sure to hold her tightly as their speed was being reduced. Luckily, the parachute could take on their combined load.

The woman didn't let go of the rip cord and wrapped her other hand around Jin to make sure she didn't fall.

Jin then let go of her and grabbed the manoeuvring handles. Around five miles away from there, Jin could see an Oasis. He tilted the parachute towards that direction.

"So, what's your codena?" Jin asked.

"Shut up or I'll kill you," The woman's sharp voice entered Jin's ears.

"Tch, you're no fun," Jin complained, but after that, he remained quiet.

From the air, the three other participants' parachutes were visible to Jin. From this, it was clear that including them, only five people had survived.

All of them were also moving towards the Oasis.

After about ten minutes, they were finally closing in on the sand. Jin tried to reduce the impact with his legs, but it wasn't enough, and he and the woman rolled down a sandy slope and got entangled with the parachute.

"Ugh! GET OFF M-" the woman tried to push away Jin's body, but a chilling knife suddenly made contact with her neck.

"You sure had an attitude up there, didn't you?" Jin comnted as he pushed the knife's edge even deeper, which made the woman's eyes widen from shock and surprise.

"Rember, if you ever tried to do similar shit again it won't be my knife's blunt side which would be eting your neck," Jin glared at her before withdrawing his knife.

The woman could only cough violently while glaring at Jin.

Jin then used the knife to cut off the para-cords, which were wound around the two of them and finally stood up and threw his bag away.

"Here," with a helpful smile, Jin directed his hand towards the woman as if the earlier happenings never occurred.

Although uncertain at first, the woman finally grabbed his hand. Jin helped her get up and said while holding her hand, "I'm called Zed. What about you?"

Sensing that Jin won't be leaving her hand if she didn't say her codena, she opened her mouth, "Ice, that's my codena alright, so let go of my ha-"

CRACK!

AHHHHH!

The woman shrieked from pain the next mont and glared at Jin with ruthless eyes.

CRACK!

AHHH!

She shrieked from pain again, and her eyes grew more fearso when they glared at Jin.

With a sadistic grin, Jin asked, "What? Wanted to act as a gentleman since you're a woman? Too bad I'm not in the mood," Jin broke another one of her fingers and kicked her away.

"Don't get in my way again, Ice." With those words, Jin turned around and walked towards the Oasis, two miles away from his spot.

Ice took a few monts to recover from Jin's intense kick to her solar plexus.

ARGH!

She realigned her broken fingers the next mont and pushed herself up. Sand was stuck all over her sweaty body as she wiped so off her face.

Her breathing was rough, but that didn't affect the hate her eyes carried for Jin.

Knowing that staying here was not an option, she started walking towards the Oasis just like Jin and the other survivors.

"That bitch!" Jin muttered as he aggressively made his way through the dunes.

He had never felt as cornered as he did today when that woman had grabbed his rip cord. It was a very bitter feeling.

"If she were a suicidal maniac, then I would have been done for," Jin muttered as he thought about the other woman who had exploded herself.

"I was too careless! Never again," Jin said out loud.

It was his first ti skydiving, so under all that adrenaline and dopamine release, he lost himself and almost died in the process.

"And the fuck's wrong with this system giving such missions!" Just looked at the panel in front of him and thought.
