The sun was high up in the sky and the temperature was crossing 50 degrees Celsius.
In such an extrely hot environnt, even the fittest of individuals t their end if they were not careful.
In this vast desert, there was an Oasis which was surrounded by sand dunes on all sides. Here, next to an old SUV, a small brick house was made.
Its interior didn't look special at first sight. There was a rectangular carpet on the floor, a simple cot and an earthen pot filled with water, with its lid covered.
On the cot, a man, in his late fifties, was having a nap.
Ring Ring
The sudden ringing of the phone roused the man up. He reached for the ground where he had placed his cellphone and looked at the caller.
'Oh?' He beca a little more awake after seeing the na and picked up the call.
"How are you doing, Sir?" A voice ca from the other side of the phone.
"I'm doing good, Anna, how co you've contacted ?" The man asked as he scratched his rugged brown beard.
"I'm sending an anomaly to you in the next course. Please take good care of him," Anna answered.
"Oho, for you to call soone an anomaly ans he's probably at the level of the S-9," The man said.
"Not yet, from the way he carries his task, I can tell that he's not very much experienced when it cos to stealth, but despite that, he was able to complete all the missions in record ti," Anna added.
"Hmmm," The man stroked his chin and said, "So you're saying that he might be even more talented than the S-9 who had set those records previously?"
"Yes, sir, based on my analysis, his growth curve is much more than those nine," Anna responded without a hint of doubt.
"Haha, now you're making all excited to et him. Don't worry, I'll take proper care of him since you've requested . Being a forr mber, I also want the Valeyria branch to perform well." With that, the man cut the call.
Anna looked at her phone screen with a hint of lancholy as she muttered, "I wish you were still the branch head," before focusing back on her work.
anwhile, Jin and Fana were at Angelica's showroom.
Inside, Angelica was helping Fana with her clothes, and soon after, a stylist arranged her hair in a way that matched her dress.
Jin was receiving the sa treatnt in another room. Finally, after an hour and a half, the two of them ca out.
"You look gorgeous..."
Jin couldn't help but mutter when he saw Fana in that shimring dark purplish gown. Her cream-coloured hair was made into a bun, making her fine shoulders and collar bone clearly visible.
Around her neck, a necklace made of black pearls rested. It was complented by black erald-like earrings on her delicate ears.
Fana's reaction was much more subtle. With her raised brows, she looked at Jin's black suit and trousers, which had just the right amount of glitter to it. Inside, he wore a dark purplish top similar in colour to what she was wearing.
"TADA!" Angelica blurted with excitent.
She then brought a full-length mirror in front of them and asked with a smile, "I didn't disappoint you, right, Fana?"
"No, Angelica, you did not," Fana said as excitent rose in her heart, seeing her and jin's reflection in the mirror. She was sure to own the carpet in tonight's event.
Angelica then took a few pictures of the two of them and only stopped when it was nearing ti for them to go.
"Let's go then, the limousine's waiting outside," Jin said. The agency naturally provided Jin with a Limousine for today's event.
The two of them soon got in the limousine and left for the venue.
….
The limousine soon reached the destination and stopped. Jin first exited the car, and the next mont his body got covered in cara flashes.
Not minding them, Jin made his way to the other side of the door and helped Fana out.
This scene invited even more clicking sounds of the cara along with the flashes.
Thereafter, the two of them boldly locked their hands in front of all the caras and made their way inside the venue.
"They look so perfect together…" A caraman muttered.
His feelings were shared by everyone present. They were conflicted between taking more pictures of the two or admiring them with their eyes.
When Jin and Fana entered the venue, crowds of famous people were gathered all around, and there were a few reporters interviewing them.
With the entry of Jin and Fana, quite a lot of gasps escaped from a lot of mouths.
The reason is that no one knew before now that Jin was in a relationship with soone, and this was a surprise for most of them.
A lady reporter who was nearest to them rushed towards them with her mic as her caraman followed after her hurriedly.
"Mr. Jin! There are still a few minutes for the award ceremony to start, so if you don't mind, can I ask you a few questions?" She politely asked.
"Sure," Jin smiled as his hand comfortably wrapped around Fana's waist. A bashful expression appeared on Fana's face, which was previously just smiling.
The lady reporter noticed this and asked her first question, "I'm seeing that you've co to today's function with your partner which has definitely broken quite a number of fans' hearts but there are also several others like who are curious to know how the two of you t, so can you share that story with us?"
Hearing the question, Jin lovingly gazed at Fana and said, "Us? I t Fana when I was shooting for the film…"
Jin's answer delighted the reporter, who asked him a few more questions about their matching dress before turning towards Fana.
"Miss Fana, can you tell us a few things about Jin that we might not know?"
Fana chuckled at this question and said, "Sure, He looks tough and difficult to talk to at the surface, but he's the most caring man there is. It's my good fortune that I was able to et him."
As the two of them answered the reporter's questions, it was finally ti for the award ceremony to start.
Jin and Fana soon got themselves a seat among other actors and actresses.
Fana was able to feel the piercing gazes of several young won around her who were looking at her with envy.
She couldn't help but feel prideful during these monts and deliberately acted touchier with Jin just to irritate those eyes.
A few dancers soon appeared on the stage and started dancing captivatingly. This majestic opening soon attracted everyone's attention towards them.
