99: Chapter 99 Little Eight 99: Chapter 99 Little Eight Han Fei had recently unlocked a map feature that only recorded the places he had visited; unexplored areas were entirely shrouded in darkness.
The hand-drawn map in the Building Chief’s room utilized text to docunt many buildings in the vicinity, with certain building nas specifically circled in red.
“I vaguely rember the Building Chief ntioning that his mory had been torn into fragnts.
Could it be that these buildings marked in red contain his mory Fragnts?”
Beyond the buildings circled in red, at the very corner of the map, there was a spot marked by the Building Chief with a red question mark, accompanied by a few skewed words—”Exit?”
The map on the wall seed to exist solely to docunt this exit, which was located far from the Happiness Residential Community.
“What does ‘exit’ an?
An exit to the Mortal World?
Or does it lead to the Shallow World?
If the exit truly is a passage to the Shallow World, then this map is incredibly significant.”
Knowing the exit, Han Fei could lead all his neighbors away, allowing them to witness the scene of the murderer being punished, and truly letting them achieve redemption.
“This hand-drawn map might be more precious than all the rewards I have received before; it must be the last gift left to by the Building Chief.”
Standing in front of the wall, Han Fei lingered for over ten minutes.
“What are you doing?
Aren’t we going to check out other places?” Xu Qin, stroking the dinner knife, was sowhat bored.
“I want to morize the entire map and then destroy this wall.
It’s better if fewer people know about certain things.” Han Fei was also being precautionary; previously, the ninth floor had blocked those with malicious intentions.
Now that the ninth floor was back to normal, he worried that so villain might find this place.
His mory was exceptionally terrific; he quickly morized the map, and after confirming no mistakes, he and Xu Qin destroyed the map.
“Later, you can process food ingredients here, but rember to keep the blood and bodily residues of the Outsiders.
I want to use their blood to draw a fake map on this wall again.” Han Fei did not know why those Outsiders had entered this building, but it was essential to be cautious at all tis.
“I understand.
If soone does harbor ill intentions, all they’ll find is a shortcut to soul scattering,” Xu Qin laughed happily, discovering that being with Han Fei brought her much joy.
“To make the map look more realistic, we need to prepare more traps and tricks on the ninth floor.
The higher the price the Outsiders pay, the less likely they are to suspect the fake map.
It’s basic psychological knowledge.” Lately, Han Fei had been reading books on human nature and psychology, fringing it all very useful.
After discussing plans, the two continued searching the room.
Contrary to their expectations, there were no horrifying corpses or Fierce Ghosts, and the room contained no Curse Items; the Building Chief really had made it resemble the ho in his mory.
Having searched everywhere, only two items in the room were successfully identified by the system.
“Player Number 0000, please note!
You have discovered a Grade G blood item—Yimin Private Academy Teacher’s Work Certificate.”
“Yimin Private Academy Teacher’s Work Certificate: Wearing this certificate allows free access to Yimin Private Academy.”
“Player Number 0000, please note!
You have discovered a Grade G blood item—Cursed Howork.”
“Cursed Howork: A workbook that can never be finished.
To this day, no one knows what curse is attached to it.
It can absorb the Grudge of children, and prolonged contact may result in the loss of self-awareness.”
Looking at the items found in the Building Chief’s house, Han Fei was quite surprised, “Was the Building Chief a teacher before?”
“Not sure, he was a very boring person.
If he was a teacher, those kids would definitely have been bored,” Xu Qin gently licked the fresh blood from her lips, giving Han Fei a sowhat frightening look.
“The map on the wall showed that Yimin Private Academy was located on the west side of the community, and the Building Chief had circled it in red, marking it as an important place,” Han Fei thought for a mont before deciding that once he was able to leave the area, he’d head west to check it out.
“I have Child King’s Talent, and I’m quite skilled at playing Hide-and-Seek gas, not to ntion being a professional actor, I think I can handle children of all ages,” Han Fei’s true thought was to use the passive ability of the Child King to maybe make more friends.
After ensuring nothing was overlooked, Han Fei and Xu Qin left the tenth floor, which had only now started to feel a bit more like ho amidst the deadly apartnt.
After saying goodbye to Xu Qin, Han Fei returned alone to the Haunted House 1044.
The wall clock had not yet struck four, and he had died forty-five tis in the Building Chief’s mory, enduring long periods of despair and pain, but outside the Building Chief’s recollection, not much ti had passed.
“Ti flows the sa in the ga world and the real world, but when I execute Manager’s duties, I enter a special state.
In that state, ti slows down, and I can’t exit the ga, feeling as if I’m living in soone else’s mory.”
There were still many things Han Fei hadn’t figured out about the “Perfect Life” ga; he was still in the novice stage.
Upon entering the deepest part of the Haunted House, Han Fei saw seven roommates sitting back to him on the bed’s edge.
“I’m back.”
Han Fei greeted the victims of the Human-body Puzzle naturally, and like always, sat next to Wei Youfu, “I’ve found the parts you’ve lost, I will first make your souls whole, and then you’ll witness the punishnt of the culprit.”
As soon as Han Fei took out the first piece of the Human-body Puzzle, the temperature in the room plumted, and the landlord’s ring started frantically warning him.
Without retreating or fearing, Han Fei’s hands were blood-stained as he carefully fitted each “puzzle” piece back in place.
“Thinking that my roommates were put together by my own hands feels quite creepy.”
He first completed Wei Youfu, but soon he noticed a problem; the puzzle pieces weren’t rging with Wei Youfu’s body.
Dark red blood continually seeped from Wei Youfu, and within the blood, there seed to also be the sound of a girl crying.
“It seems like there’s soone else inside Wei Youfu’s body?
The cold from the ring was about to freeze his fingers, and while Han Fei was contemplating, Wei Youfu suddenly raised a hand and pushed Han Fei to the door.
Black veins erged from the bodies of the seven victims, their bodies intertwining, bones and flesh shattered, blood was everywhere in the room.
The desperate and terrifying rged Monster slowly erged, and Han Fei once again saw that flawless girl at the heart of the Monster.
During the bath task, he had seen this sight before, the victims seed to intentionally display it in front of him, at that ti Wei Youfu even left a ssage on the mirror asking him to help that girl.
“I think I understand now.”
Han Fei suddenly charged at the Monster, disregarding everything tore open the unhealed flesh on the Monster’s chest, and single-handedly embraced the girl inside the Monster!
“The eighth victim is the key to the Human-body Puzzle!”
