Chapter 944: Chapter 944: Reunion

The god statue in reality is just an ordinary mud sculpture that can be easily smashed by Han Fei. However, after destroying the mud sculpture, Han Fei himself was also affected to so extent.

The knocking sound in his ears grew louder and could be heard no matter where he went.

“Is this a sign that the door between the Deep World and the real world is about to open?”

The worst twenty-four hours in the Shrine mory have been greatly simplified in reality. Gao Xing knew that delaying would be disadvantageous for him, so he wanted to complete the ritual in the shortest ti to catch everyone off guard.

After his Ghost Creature spread across the Eternal Life Building, everyone’s evil desires and criminal inclinations were all drawn out, and reason gradually disappeared, causing the employees in the building to release the monsters they had been suppressing deep down.

Of course, this ability doesn’t work well on everyone.

Take for example the Waste Processing Center staff mber beside Han Fei; he’s timid and a well-aning person, whose greatest evil thought is to abandon his teammates to save himself. For people like him, it might take a long ti in the Ghost Creature to beco lost.

“Let’s go in and take a look.” The secure laboratory that Han Fei rembered is now empty, with researchers seemingly reassigned.

“Lab number four involves the core secrets of Eternal Life Pharmaceutical. Will Fu Jin allow the police to enter here?”

Using the Identity Information Card to turn on the lights, Han Fei found that Lab number four was different from the laboratory in the Shrine mory, possibly due to prior communication between the police and Eternal Life Pharmaceutical, resulting in the replacent of so experintal equipnt.

The further down they went, the greater the difference. The “bodies” of the most important clients seem to have been moved, leaving only “volunteers” in the cultivation tanks, their brains still seemingly connected to Perfect Life.

“I’ve noticed the anomalies, and surely so have Gao Xing and his people, yet they still want to conduct the ritual?” Han Fei felt things weren’t that simple. He never underestimated his opponents: “Gao Xing’s wife and his mother both ntioned the ruthlessness and terror of dreams, and Number Two said that without the Shrine, Gao Xing was not to be feared. Could it be that the dream uses Gao Xing as a decoy to draw the attention of and the police, while he attempts to open a new passage?”

“Han Fei, pay attention to the cultivation tanks around you.” Assistant Tao suddenly spoke, head lowered and voice very low: “The laboratory I am responsible for also has similar cultivation tanks. The inside of the tank mustn’t be polluted, yet I find many here have their nutrient liquids dyed red with blood. Even more strangely, the test subjects inside are still maintaining life activity. Is this ant to cultivate them into monsters?”

Standing beside the cultivation tanks, Han Fei saw the number and introduction of each test subject left here. Most of the test subjects are the older employees of Eternal Life Pharmaceutical, who devoted their lives to the company and are privy to many of its core secrets. As a benefit for those whose bodies have severely aged, Eternal Life Pharmaceutical included them in the Eternal Life experints.

Once the Eternal Life plan succeeds, these core employees will be reborn.

But now the situation has clearly changed. The police are aware of what Eternal Life Pharmaceutical is doing, and the Eternal Life plan will surely be called off. These employees with severely aged bodies will be released.

It’s important to know they hold many untold secrets of Eternal Life Pharmaceutical. With the hope for Eternal Life gone, they might act irrationally.

To keep the secrets, the high-level officials at Eternal Life Pharmaceutical likely chose to permanently “shut them up” and, taking advantage of the invasion by the three major cri organizations, placed all their mistakes on those organizations.

“Using others to kill?”

Now, the rules are different from the Deep World, but equally brutal.

“These researchers also have their families and things they can’t give up, right?” Han Fei asked Assistant Tao: “Can we save these people? They made such great contributions to the group, they don’t deserve this end.”

“It’s very complicated. We need to wait for everything to return to normal and then have professionals co over.” Assistant Tao, also a working person, felt Han Fei’s words warm. If he encountered such a company leader, it must be a very happy thing.

What Assistant Tao didn’t know was that Han Fei used to be a high-level executive at a gaming company at the Plastic Surgery Hospital. He took over Fu Yi’s body, and until the gaming company eventually dismissed him, his subordinates remained loyal.

“Yeah.” Han Fei had his own plans. After Eternal Life Pharmaceutical falls, he, as Fu Sheng’s heir, intends to build a new Eternal Life Pharmaceutical, and for that, he’d need a group of his own technical staff.

The testers involved in the Eternal Life plan, who qualified in the end, were once the most elite and core mbers of Eternal Life Pharmaceutical. Han Fei had no intention of letting them go. Even if they didn’t survive this ordeal and their bodies collapsed, he could bring them into the Deep World for a second chance.

“Since joining others’ companies only leads to their closure, why not start my own?”

Han Fei led a few people and the intelligent butler down the internal stairs of the laboratory, reaching the seventeenth underground floor.

All electronic devices on this floor were unable to function normally, the signal was blocked, and the bloodstains on the ground were beginning to increase.

“There was a firefight here.” Han Fei saw bullet marks and so mutilated corpses: “The death ti is roughly about half an hour ago, and most of the deceased’s wounds are on the lower back and neck, all killed by sneak attacks.”

Han Fei looked through the palms of the corpses: “These are calluses worn from holding a gun for years; the police stationed here were attacked.”

Gazing at the passage leading to the eighteenth underground floor, Han Fei’s eyes slightly narrowed, the pitch-black doorway resembled a monster’s gaping mouth, not a trace of light inside, only the pungent sll of dicine and blood.

Gloomy, eerie, unsettling, the boundary between reality and the Deep World blurred, this layer felt too much like the Deep World to Han Fei.

“Stand behind and make sure that smart steward doesn’t get hurt,” Han Fei instinctively wanted to grab the Rebirth Slaughter Saber. After grasping at empty air, a faint warmth lingered in his palm, dispelling the chill.

It was only at this mont that Han Fei realized he wasn’t in the Deep World, yet what puzzled him was the genuine warmth and gentle power appearing in his hand, a force hard to describe, like soone encouraging him forward. Clearly a psychological comfort, yet it stimulated his body.

Stopping at the entrance to the eighteenth underground floor, Han Fei heard footsteps; two figures rging with the darkness slowly erged from the passage.

The man wore a Mad Scientist mask, the woman wore a God of Death mask. Their state was peculiar; the surface of their bodies was inscribed with cris, like participants in so special ritual.

“The bridge has been built, you’re late.” The Female God of Death did not hide her voice; she was the singer Ye Xian.

“The other side of the bridge leads to my ho, so whether it’s successfully built, I know better than you.” Han Fei displayed the harmless smile unique to a killer before striking.

“Really an annoying guy.” The Mad Scientist suddenly charged at Han Fei, his body modified entirely into a murder tool. Even a trained professional, caught off guard, would fall victim to him.

“I might not have been able to handle both of you before, but in your master’s shrine, I’ve learned a lot.” The refinent of the Deep World, coupled with the changes of reality’s Black Box, Han Fei surpassed normal people in every way, such as reaction speed, physical strength, and eating capacity.

The Mad Scientist was a man-made murder tool, whereas Han Fei was slowly refined into an Evil Ghost by the Deep World, fundantally different in training thods.

Both sides essentially had only one shot during the confrontation because neither would hold back in such combat, aiming directly for a fatal outco. Both deciding victory and life or death.

A clash erupted, Han Fei’s shirt torn, while the Mad Scientist’s head twisted three hundred sixty degrees, his neck elongated.

“Next, it’s your turn.” Han Fei was a professional Executioner, skilled in technique.

The Female God of Death saw her companion killed and didn’t hesitate, turning to leave.

Watching the Mad Scientist’s grueso demise, Assistant Tao and the Waste Processing Center worker were shocked. Before, they just thought Han Fei was good at acting in horror films, joking that without having a few lives in hand, he couldn’t act out that madness; now they know he wasn’t acting at all.

“His body has been modified; he won’t die right away.” Han Fei confidently stated, “I understand the human body very well; you don’t need to be afraid. I rarely harm others.”

With a wave, Han Fei and the others lted into the shadows, entering the eighteenth underground floor.

If the seventeenth underground floor has the feeling of the Deep World, then the eighteenth has completely beco the Deep World.

All the cultivation tanks were inscribed with special symbols using blood, thirty-one of Xinhu’s most brutal psychopaths gathered here, wearing masks, each with a black box placed before them.

In the center of all the Black Boxes, a man stood with his back to Han Fei, holding a cleaver etched with Butterfly Patterns, aiming the blade at Shen Luo’s nape.

Shen Luo, barely alive, his face a mixture of blood and tears, chains wrapped around him, cris forcibly inscribed on his skin, mouth stuffed with strips of cursed blood-colored fabric.

How to say it? Even Han Fei felt a tinge of sympathy at the sight of his miserable state.

As the light and shadow shifted, Shen Luo seed to sense sothing, he looked towards the passage exit, those desperately hopeless eyes captured by Han Fei.

He frantically shook his body, babbling as if continually saying sothing.

“Desperate Escape, could this guy have brought the talent from the ga into reality?” Han Fei breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, he was just in ti.

Seeing Shen Luo struggle incessantly, the man holding the Butterfly Slaughter Saber slowly turned, at that mont Han Fei felt as though countless venomous snakes were eyeing him.
